Lin Shu gave Fang Zhi orders without any reservation, and he, hearing her commands, actually got up to wash vegetables in the kitchen.
Lin Shu watched Fang Zhi being so obedient, a faint smile tugged at the corner of her mouth, then she turned her head back to continue watching TV.
After Fang Zhi had worked hard to complete his task, he came out to see Lin Shu gritting her teeth in pain while rubbing her lower back.
"What's wrong? Backache?" Fang Zhi walked over to Lin Shu and took over the rubbing with his own hand.
Fang Zhi's strokes were just right, enough to alleviate her pain, without making her feel uncomfortable.
"Mmm, the baby bump is getting heavier. Even when I'm sitting, I sometimes need to support myself with my back, so it often aches," she explained.
"You've been working hard," Fang Zhi gently said while massaging her back.
Lin Shu's eyes became a bit teary, but she quickly suppressed the impending tears.
