Shen Lan heard a rustling sound, as well as Shen Jun's threatening voice telling her mother not to speak out of turn.
"Lan Lan, I'm scared," Mother Shen's timid voice came through the receiver.
"Cars, so many cars."
"Mom, don't be afraid, I'll come to get you soon."
As she comforted Mother Shen, Shen Lan was messaging Cheng Yanqing, hoping he could pinpoint Shen Jun's location.
"That's enough, you've heard your mother's voice. You know she's in my hands now, right?"
"You only have half an hour."
After saying this, he did not give Shen Lan an opportunity to respond. Shen Jun had already hung up.
As soon as the call ended, Cheng Yanqing called.
"I've already located your mother."
Hearing Cheng Yanqing's voice, Shen Lan felt as though she had something to rely on, a sense of security.
"I've sent you the location and alerted the police."
Before Shen Lan had a chance to speak, Cheng Yanqing had already arranged everything: "I'm coming to pick you up, get yourself ready."
