Shen Lan was awakened by the phone.
The sunlight outside had disappeared, replaced by the night, and a sense of loneliness surged from within her.
Feeling a little down, she picked up the phone and said, "Thank you, Anna, I'm glad you called, otherwise I would have overslept."
Looking at the time, Shen Lan breaths a sigh of relief. She still had half an hour before the gathering.
In a tender voice, Anna said, "Sister, you should be more careful. We've already changed into our evening gowns and are waiting for you at the door."
Shen Lan pressed the remote and the underground door opened immediately. Her and Anliya entered when they saw the door open.
Upon entering, they saw Shen Lan lying in bed. Alya went over to her and noticed that Shen Lan didn't seem too happy. She wrapped an arm around Shen Lan's waist, "Darling, what's wrong?"
"You don't seem too pleased. Did something unpleasant happen? You can tell me about it."
"I might be able to give you some advice."
