Although Mother Shen didn't really like this sister of hers, after all, she was still her sister. How could she truly harden her heart and ignore her.
"Mom, don't worry. I've already arranged for a nurse to look after aunt. Didn't she tell you?"
Compared to Mother Shen's anxiety, Shen Lan was much calmer. She didn't blame Mother Shen for confronting her immediately, but just calmly stated the facts.
"Is that so? Your aunt didn't tell me." Between her sister and her daughter, she of course believed the latter.
She had just received a pitiful call from her sister, and in her anxiousness, had dialed her daughter.
In retrospect, she was too impulsive.
"It's okay, Mom. I'm heading back now. I'll stop by the hospital to check on aunt on my way." There wasn't a hint of discomfort in Shen Lan's voice.
Though, deep down, she disapproved of her aunt's actions, but after all, it was her aunt.
She didn't have any choice but to keep her opinions to herself.
