Boss Lin was panting, unable to string a sentence together, only pointing at his own coat pocket.
Shen Lan understood and immediately searched until she found a small medicine bottle. She took a small pill from it and put it in Lin's mouth, then served him a glass of plain water for him to drink.
Boss Lin slowly breathed a sigh of relief as his breathing gradually evened out.
"Do you have a heart disease? Should we go to the hospital?" Shen Lan inquired.
"No need," Boss Lin shook his head, "It's an old affliction. Today's weather is too hot. My heart was beating a bit too fast... that's why it acted up." He picked up the pen from the table, intending to sign something, but found his hand trembling severely.
A signature made under such circumstance would certainly look different from his normal one.
"I need to rest!" Boss Lin apologized. "Take my ID card and book a room."
After contemplating for a moment, Shen Lan nodded in agreement.
