Everything fell silent for a moment, and Su Qiqi thought he was going to say something, so she stayed in her spot, waiting for him to speak.
"You just said...."
"I just said the flowers smell particularly pleasant."
Su Qiqi almost immediately turned and fled towards her room.
"I am good to you not only because you're my wife but also because you're you."
But Su Qiqi hadn't successfully escaped to her room. She stood there in stunned silence, stuttering, unable to form a clear sentence.
"Go to sleep early." Su Qiqi heard Jin Muchen's voice behind her once more.
Standing back-to-back, Jin Muchen took a step towards the stairs leading to the second floor, only to be solidly hugged from behind in the next second.
It lasted probably less than two seconds. Su Qiqi quickly withdrew her arms and ran back to her room, calling out, "Goodnight."
