There was no response from the study for quite a while, so Su Qiqi took a few steps forward and softly called out to Jin Muchen once more.
A muffled reply came from inside, Su Qiqi couldn't make it out clearly, but she could confirm it was Jin Muchen's voice, which put her at ease.
Su Qiqi walked to the center of the study, took a look around, and spotted Jin Muchen's silhouette on the balcony. She guessed she hadn't heard him clearly before because of the glass door separating them.
Su Qiqi moved to the bookshelf and casually picked up a few magazines to place on the desk.
Feeling someone approaching, Jin Muchen turned around to see Su Qiqi pushing the door, he thought she had already left and didn't expect to still see her there.
"Jin Muchen, what are you doing here?" Su Qiqi poked her head in and then squeezed herself into the room.
There were no lights on the balcony, Jin Muchen was draped in moonlight.
