Close to two in the morning, Su Qiqi was tossing and turning in bed but just couldn't fully fall asleep.
With half-closed eyes, Su Qiqi gazed at the moon through the window, its luminescence standing out against the dark night sky.
Suddenly, the sound of the door unlocking came from the living room, Su Qiqi almost instinctively sat up, rushed out of bed and ran to the living room.
Jin Muchen, in the process of taking off his shoes, noticed the movement behind him. Seeing Su Qiqi standing by the staircase, he seemed quite surprised, "You're still awake?"
Only then did Su Qiqi come back to her senses, she blinked, "I woke up for a drink, heard some noises, and came out to check."
Jin Muchen finished taking off his shoes, walked over to her and stopped in front of her. He bent down so his eyes were level with hers, and gently patted the top of her head with both hands.
"Why are you barefoot?"
