Chapter 46 - Chapter(44)

Episode(44): Know your place, The savior of Mankind is a coward?

SOVEREIGN OF DEATH~(44)

Blood splattered splashing against the ground it stained the view before everyone red.

Pieces of flesh floated through the air before sticking to the tables and the ground.

Unfortunate nobles close enough even had pieces of flesh stuck to their clothes and faces.

[Uh..]

A woman directly collapsed and fainted the moment she saw the flesh and blood staining her dress.

She could no longer take the pressure and fear and collapsed in a heap.

Even so, no one moved to help her as they were rooted in place by the fear chilling their spine.

Looking in front where the body of the man was still spurting a fountain of blood where his head should have been, everyone was petrified unable to even utter a cry.

For the heroes as well.

Coming from a modern civilization it took their all just to kill monster and most of them hadn't even gotten used to that yet.

This made the sight before them extremely gory and it left them all as white as a sheet.

Akane as well was dumbfounded and frightened.

She hadn't even seen Sullivan's movements just now.

It was like he had just raised his hand slightly before putting it back at his side just as quickly.

Such lightning quick movements made her know that this was definitely not an enemy she could face!

[Disgusting]

On the other hand Sullivan scoffed.

He wore an extremely revolted expression and it seemed he would retch any moment.

However the reason he would retch wasn't because of the gory scene he had produced but because inferior blood stained his hands.

His disdain was written all over his nauseated expression.

He spat in disgust before steam rose from his hand completely evaporating all the blood from his white gloves.

His gloves were now as white as snow.

Smiling in satisfaction, he turned to the terror stricken crowd and spoke.

[Now then, I was interrupted by this insect and it caused me to spill blood. Seriously, you humans should know your place]

He scowled thinking how someone dared to speak with such confidence before him.

[Grovel and dare not look at my great figure lest I tear those disgusting eye's from your head]

His words contained power and majesty.

Along with the fact that a noble that was at least the rank of a marquis had just died so easily, It easily added a heavy amount of pressure to the group.

[You dare threaten me with the flimsy trinkets you claim can put an end to me? Hahahaha!

How ludicrous! I'd like to see you try if you can humans!]

Many nobles wanted to rebut, but if they dared the first one to step out would probably die as fast as he stepped out.

No one wanted to face this absolute monster and they wished he would just leave already.

Sullivan on the other hand sighed.

[I shall tolerate this just this once, however if such a thing should occur once more, don't blame me for wiping the Floren Empire off the map]

Was he serious? The Floren empire was an empire.

Not just a kingdom with no way to fight back but there were countless secrets and trump cards and no one could confidently say they could completely destroy an empire.

However his confidence and disdain shook everyone in the hall.

Suddenly they had a thought.

Would a demon dare to come here alone and proclaim the power to destroy an empire?

No, even if they were stronger than every elite in the empire there was no way they would do such a thing.

Then, that meant only one thing.

Gulp*

There were forces behind this guy!

That had to be it. If not then there was no way he would claim such a thing even with his strength.

At this, the entire hall once more fell into a deep chill and it almost felt like sub-zero.

If there really were more demons hiding in the dark and they were like this monster, wouldn't the empire be done for?

They all couldn't help but worry.

Sullivan smiled gently and spoke.

[Ah...I do apologize for the scene]

His tone was apologetic however it was obvious he wasn't sorry for killing a person.

To him, what he just did was no different from crushing an ant.

In his eyes there was nothing wrong with that, except he spilled inferior blood all over the place which made him frustrated and apologetic.

He shook his head with disgust when the blood all over the place caught his eye.

It was frustrating to see such disgusting blood all over the place but there was nothing he could do.

He wasn't a cleaner so he wouldn't clean the place.

[Such a repulsive sight. If only that pest had not spoken out of turn I would have no need to waste my energy on such an inferior cattle]

He was extremely displeased but it was already done with now so what could he do.

Sullivan suddenly stopped speaking and looked at the people strangely.

When he saw that everyone around him had different expression he frowned and raised a brow in confusion.

[Did I perhaps get it wrong?]

To others it seemed as though he was feigning ignorance for the murder he had committed in broad daylight, but he was genuinely confused.

However it didn't let its confusion last for long and he quickly put the thought behind it.

[Well, never mind]

Akane, standing beside Mavis was shaking in fear.

The demon had yet to exude any of its aura but the pressure she and everyone else was feeling was so heavy it already caused most to faint.

'Do we have to fight such a monster?!'

She panicked internally.

As a mere level 10 small fry there was no way her attacks would even scratch this abomination so how in the world was she supposed to fight it?

Akane could only see herself lying in a puddle of blood at the end of the future where she dared to fight that demon.

After putting the matter behind him, Sullivan decided to get back to business and his face became serious once more.

[I will ask again, where is the hero?]

Before he didn't release any aura while he stood there and the pressure was bearable to anyone who had reached at the least level 20 to 30.

And thanks to the hero's blessing most of the heroes that had passed level ten could somewhat withstand the oppressive aura.

However the next moment as soon as he asked the question again-

Boom!

An explosive fluctuation of energy exploded from Sullivan's body covering the entire banquet hall in its spread.

Soon the overwhelming aura had covered the entire hall and even those beyond level thirty felt their knees buckling under the force.

All the heroes were already forced to kneel before this terrifying might and those that weren't heroes and weren't even versed in combat had long collapse in a heap.

'Renji you bastard! Come out already!!!!'

Akane screamed internally.

She was sure that even the nobles thought of casting Renji off the boat long ago and throwing him before the demon.

But no one did so. The reason was simple.

If they did that and Renji actually won, what would they do if the hero that proved his capabilities came for revenge?

Nothing!

They could do absolutely nothing but accept whatever punishment came at them.

So no one dared to step out and give up the hero at this moment.

They would rather die by the hands of the demon than die as heretics of the church.

That was because dying by the hands of the demons would be quick, but dying as a heretic was like asking for a slow and painful death.

No one wanted to be tortured until the only salvation they had was death.

So at this moment all they could do was hold out hope that the hero would prevail.

Many prayed in their hearts at this moment hoping for the hero to awaken some form of humanity in himself.

When Sullivan saw that no one came out he scowled even more.

[How disappointing, don't tell me the savior of all mankind is hiding away from danger with his tails tucked between his legs?! What a coward!]

Sullivan spat in disgust.

He had never though the hero would be such a disgusting disappointment that would even hide amongst a crowd to flee from a battle.

At this moment he almost felt that the already pitiful human race was even more pitiful.

But as he thought that he might fail his mission anger flashed in his eyes.

[I have given you all a chance, if this continues and you all lose your lives you can only blame the hero in the afterlife]

He raised his arm and was about to release a surge of energy.

The hearts of everyone clenched and they felt despair. After all, a gigolo really is nothing but a gigolo.

What a good for nothing hero!

Many cursed in their hearts.

They really hated the hero to their cores and hoped he would suffer an agonizing death being drained of all his life force by a succubus.

But the moment Sullivan was about to release his attack, an annoyed voice echoed in the silent hall.

[Tch. Such a pain]

Renji who had been enjoying playing with women in the crowd walked out.

He had annoyance and reluctance in his eyes as he stretched his neck like a delinquent while looking arrogantly at Sullivan.
