"War is over by now; it's been more than ten years, I guess," Matt said, a hint of disbelief in his voice.
"We're going to be old faces, don't we? Except for Luke and me. No offense," Toby added, trying to lighten the mood.
Elenore looked at them, her expression serious. "Well, no, we're not going to be as old as you expect."
"Are we going to keep our faces?" Toby asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No, that's not what I mean," Elenore replied, shaking her head. "In here, time is long, but outside, time moves faster than you think."
"What do you mean?" Matt asked, frowning in confusion.
"Let's say ten years here means about ten hours out there," Elenore explained, her eyes steady.
"How do you know that? How are you sure?" Toby pressed, skepticism evident in his tone.
"My mother told me. She had some experience with this kind of magic," Elenore said, her voice laced with a mix of hope and concern.
