"You did what?!" Alice exclaimed, suddenly awake from her stupor. Her eyes darted around the room, filled with fury.
All of them looked at Toby with fierce expressions.
"No, you have no nerve to do this!" she shouted, her voice rising. She appeared unhinged.
"No, no! I can't! I love him, no!" she yelled, her emotions spiraling.
"Sure you love him," Elenore shot back, standing her ground.
"You, you, you are always in the way! I don't even understand why you're here. I will kill you!" Alice screamed, her rage palpable.
"Alice, look at the situation," Elenore replied calmly. "You're tied to a chair, and I'm ready to beat you."
"You think this situation is going to stay like this?" Alice sneered. "The story will begin again. Chapter one will start again, and you will be miserable again."
The tension in the room thickened, each person aware that Alice's words hinted at a deeper danger.
