"You remember?" John asked, his voice thick with emotion as he searched Elenore's eyes. She looked back at him, a flicker of recognition igniting between them, and leaned in to kiss him softly.
"I do," she whispered, pulling away just enough to meet his gaze.
With renewed determination, John pushed himself up from the ground, the fire of anger still burning in his chest. "John?" Elenore's voice cut through his focus.
"You!" he snarled, turning his attention to Gabriel, who stood frozen in shock. "I'm going to kill you."
Gabriel's eyes widened, panic setting in as he stumbled back. "Elenore, please stop your man!" he shouted, desperation creeping into his tone.
"John, don't kill him!" Elenore pleaded, stepping in front of Gabriel, her hands raised in a calming gesture. John shot her a bewildered look, confusion swirling in his mind.
"Do you really remember the truth?" he asked, his voice low and intense.
