Jones shook his head adamantly. "No, no, no!" he exclaimed. "Luke, listen. This is important for them to learn the truth," said Luna.
Jones furrowed his brow. "What truth are you talking about? That so-called truth can ruin their lives, Luna," he argued.
"Jones, this is the right way. We need to tell them," Luna insisted once more.
"I won't accept these ridiculous things. He is my son now, and she is your daughter. That's the truth we know. The past is the past. Are you trying to ruin their lives?" Jones said, his voice raised.
Luna turned to Luke, pleading. "Luke, help me."
Luke looked between his wife and his friend. "I'm agreed with Jones. The past is in the past, my love. We can't hurt them with the truth - they could even hate us for it."
Jones sighed heavily, the tension palpable in the room. He placed a hand on Luna's arm, his eyes filled with concern.
