Chapter 110 - Chapter 110 - weakness

"I also want to ascertain the reality of the threat you speak of. I want to see the White Walkers in person. But most importantly, I desire to witness your world. Is it worthy of our submission? I believe Lord Morningstar is quite capable of arranging this."

"Oh? I can agree with such an approach. What do you think about showing you my world first? I can show you my city by extracting memories from my mind."

"You can do that?" - Tyrion asked.

"Yes, for example, like this."

Asmodeus confirmed his words with action.

He drew two swords that hung at his waist.

The Grey Worm stood ready to defend the queen.

"Calm down, to kill you, I don't even need to raise a hand. I just poorly control this spell without a wand. So..."

Asmodeus folded the two swords so that they appeared as one whole and tapped them together twice.

Before Daenerys's eyes and the others', the swords began to shrink until they turned into an iron rod only 13 inches long or so.

Asmodeus raised the rod to his temple and pulled.

Initially, those present thought it was part of the memory transfer ritual. But then they saw a strange twist appear at the tip of the rod, like a blue thread that Asmodeus pulled straight from his brain...

"Um, is that all? What do we need to do? Eat this thing?"

Asmodeus: "..."

He said nothing and pulled out his bag. With one hand, he undid the knot that closed it and turned it over. A large cauldron fell out; it was the Memory Pool enhanced by Nicholas. It allows up to 13 people to view memories simultaneously. Originally, this thing was made to expedite the council meeting process, but then Asmodeus asked Nicholas to make several more, just in case.

Asmodeus raised his memories to the cauldron and placed them inside.

Daenerys watched the process with interest. Ever since she discovered she could be a sorceress, she had been curious about what it entailed and how it would appear.

Tyrion, too, observed with fascination. Although they had already witnessed the power of magic in the form of fire unleashed by Asmodeus, he was intrigued by all this new knowledge Asmodeus was revealing. After all, he had once dared to descend to the dragons in the dungeons...

Once Asmodeus finished his task, he looked at them.

"Well, come here. Dip your heads into the cauldron. This thing is called the Memory Pool; it allows you to review memories."

Daenerys and the others nodded and headed towards the Memory Pool.

------------------------------------------

Several dozen minutes later, Daenerys and the others looked stunned as they gazed at Asmodeus.

Tyrion muttered something to himself, "Dragons as carriages for academy students..."

Daenerys also thought aloud, "A kingdom without a king... With a council as ruler..."

Meanwhile, the Grey Worm pondered the scenes of soldiers' training he had witnessed, "People wielding fire from sticks, able to kill with just two words..."

Missandei tried to decipher the various languages she had seen in the memories, "Languages I have never heard before..."

Asmodeus showed them a mixture of different memories. From flights over cities to council meetings. From banking work to dragon taxis...

At that moment, Tyrion stood up and asked, "Lord Asmodeus!"

"Yes?"

"I saw something called dragon taxis. The person who controlled the dragon called themselves a taxi driver. Is that what you call dragon riders? Can I become a taxi driver if I go to Adastra?"

"???!"

"Um, I think so. If you undergo training and can prove your ability to tame a dragon, there shouldn't be any problems obtaining a license... But know that the drivers who fly on dragons are quite skilled; it's considered elite transport, and you must prove your skills if you want to work in the state taxi service. Of course, if you buy your own little dragon and tame it, the registration process will be much easier. But frankly, if you want to earn well, a Thestral is better. While a dragon is considered elite transport, its upkeep is too expensive. So if you work as much as an ordinary taxi driver during a festival, you'll earn just as much money, with much greater investment. Moreover, Thestrals are more popular among regular users. Although you can only seat one passenger at a time, a Thestral is faster than dragons in flight. That's why businessmen and people who often move around the city prefer them."

Tyrion nodded and pondered. At the same time, Daenerys spoke up.

"And this council of wizards. Does it serve as a king? How can there be 13 kings?"

"These 13 beings are the strongest in our world. They became council members because they are worthy, not because of their lineage."

"....."

The Grey Worm also inquired, "How many of such soldiers who can kill with two words can the council mobilize?"

"Ah, those are the squads of dark wizards. There aren't many of them, only those who don't go mad can use Avada Kedavra for an extended period. But they are regularly replaced, maintaining rotation within the army, so there are no losses. As for the numbers... Well, almost everyone in the world knows what that spell sounds like... But speaking only of my army, there are no fewer than 10,000 people. They are my personal military unit. Exceptional wizards - the Order of Flame Knights."

The Grey Worm nodded in dismay.

After the Grey Worm's nod, silence fell in the hall. Asmodeus knew they needed to ponder what they had seen, so he decided to leave.

"I will retire to the quarters provided for me. Have a good evening, Your Majesty. Tyrion, Missandei, Grey Worm - see you tomorrow."

Asmodeus waved his hand and exited the hall.

Seeing Asmodeus leave, Tyrion sighed wearily and asked, "Your Majesty... What do you think about his proposal after what we've seen?"

"My conscience suggests that I should accept his conditions?"

"Queen, you accepted me because of my advice and ability to analyze information. So, based on what I've seen... We stand no chance in any confrontation with Adastra. You saw that any inhabitant of their world can make things fly with a little wand, and wars can unleash the same flames as Asmodeus himself... Although we didn't see the strength of the 13 strongest... Seeing the attitude of other people towards them and these... various creatures, we can understand that the so-called 'archmage' is something stronger than a mere soldier..."

"....."

The Grey Worm said, "The Unsullied are ready to fall for the queen."

Daenerys shook her head and said, "There's no need. I will consider Lord Morningstar's proposal. If submission to the wizards can help us change this world, then I'm willing to relinquish a certain portion of my rights as queen."

Tyrion nodded, while the Grey Worm and Missandei wanted to say something, but Daenerys looked at them, indicating there was no need to continue.

"Today we can go to sleep. Tomorrow I will inform Lord Morningstar of my decision," Daenerys firmly stated, then slightly deflated, she went to her chambers.

Seeing this, Missandei quickly ran after Daenerys.

Only the Grey Worm and Tyrion remained in the hall.

"How long do you think the Unsullied would last under attack from the Order of Flame?" the Grey Worm asked.

"...."

"Is your statement simply a desire to end it all more quickly?"

"I just want to protect the queen, to give her what she wants."

Tyrion shook his head.

"Senseless deaths are not what your queen needs."

He stood up and walked towards his chamber.

In the hall, only the Grey Worm remained, disappointed that due to his weakness, Daenerys would have to submit to Asmodeus.
