Opal was surprised by the statement. But it was better following the guy rather than having to bare all the stares threatening to bare holes on her poor soul. Out of instinct her feet started moving on their own for she was sure the advisor had been talking about her.
She used the veranda to balcony stairs hoping to catch up with the advisor.
As she reached the first floor balcony, Opal could help but smile. Somewhere she felt happy just thinking of Leo's expression at that moment. And at that moment she grew the urge to confirm.
Turning to her left then pivoting her head facing the ground her meek eyes met Leo's who was in turn glaring dagers at her. He did not seem to buy her innocence. That was fine by Opal. Infact the sight made her so happy that she had to bight her lips to refrain from grinning like stupid.
After the satisfaction she needed she also disappeared after the adviso as she had to chase after him as she caught a glimpse disappearing behind the corner at the end of the corridor.
"How rude, he didn't even turn around to confirm if i was tailing him " Opal reason aloud. She then started running after him hoping not to loose him then get lost in this enormous place.
Fortunately she did not lose him and stopped to catch her breath when she caught up with him standing infront of a large metallic double door that was farnished and lined with what appeared to be gold at its edges.
Opal would have not stopped gawking at the door if she wouldn't have realized that they had been standing there for a whole lot of around five minutes.
She turned to the man beside her ready to protest loudly . When she jolted an nearly jumped out of her skin due to the large bang followed by the opening of the door before them.
'is that how doors are opened in this place standing before it unmoving like a ritualist' she thought to herself as her attention was brought back to the door on seeing a woman coming out from inside dressed in what she could persume as maid's outfit. She looked like she was in her mid forties.
She noticed that she had a scoul on her face immediately she walked and stopped before Opal.
Opal turned curiously to the man beside her but she was even more supprissed on finding an empty spot replacing the man .
'ok he is weird' Opal concluded.
"Unsurprisingly this is not surprising," Opal turned around at the woman's coment. "He is waiting."And with those words that came out as a sight the woman walked away.
Opal watched silently as the woman went out of sight. Not even stoping her to ask anything. She then returned her gaze back now to the open door.
"Who is waiting ? And why is he waiting for me?" Opal was now even more puzzled.
