BATTLEWORLD
For a long time, the Beyonder was not seen again directly during battle, he had set up his experiment, and now simply observed as the subjects interacted. He remained a totally mysterious force to the people on Battleworld, hero and villain.
But even unknown to Beyonder, the Sweet Sharky was searching over all of the information about him.
Many villains tried different ways to leave the Battleworld. Dr. Doom tried to leave, Dr. Octopus tried to leave, even Enchantress also tried to leave, but all of them were unable to pierce the barrier set up by the Beyonder.
Meanwhile, near Galactus at the shelter, the heroes were discussing with each other, then suddenly Ben, again changed back into The Thing from the human.
"What is wrong with me? On Earth, I'm always a loveable lump of orange rocks… Here, all of sudden I turned into a human again for no reason at the worst possible time… Now I'm a monster again… Why, big brain? Why?" Thing asked Reed.
"I'm not sure Ben!" Reed tried to calm down the Thing.
"You do that Stretcho! I'm going to see if these guys got a cot big enough for me, and hit the sack… If these little wimps don't panic and run off at the sight of my beautiful body!" Thing said while leaving Reed alone.
"I'll… uh, give it some thought!" Reed nodded, then he thought,"At last I truly understand just how lonely you feel, Ben. Trapped inside that body! Now I'm trapped, too… Billions of light years away from Sue… Fighting what may be the last fight."
Reed looked towards the Galactus, still thinking, "It must be worse for her… About to give birth to our second child, not knowing when… Or if I'll be back! Galactus moved?"
Reed then again focused on the Galactus and found he moved his hand, "What? No! No! Galactus really moved?" He thought he was seeing some dreams, but it was not a dream, Galactus really moved his hands upwards.
Then the heroes come towards Galactus, and they find Galactus has summoned his worldship Taa II, to the skies above Battleworld, from the far side of the Universe.
"But why?" Reed asked himself.
"It ain't for our health, Stretcho…. Maybe it's a present for the Beyondee!" Ben said to Reed, hearing the Thing, he also started calling him Stretcho.
"It's as big as a whole solar system! Wow!" Spidey said he was amazed by seeing the worldship. But they didn't understand what the Galactus was planning.
On the side of X-Men, Colossus was dreaming of Kitty, thinking they were just going to get married, but now he didn't know what happened to her. But suddenly he was interrupted by seeing Professor X. He nearly cried from fear.
"Colossus! Come at once!" Charles called him, he has invited every X-Men for the discussion of what their next move will be, noticing the Galactus was moved.
On the villain side, Molecule Man was involved in romance with Volcana, when the other villains came to bully him, but Molecule Man taught them by using his power, then he created a chariot and with Volcana he flew away from there.
On the inside the base, Doom was busy in his plan, since he noticed the Galactus had brought his worldship. He has sent a message to every villain to prepare for the strike at any moment on his command. And whoever does not follow him, they will be utterly destroyed.
Enchantress comes towards the Doom, "Doom! I would have a word with you!"
"My orders were clear, Enchantress! You would do well to obey… Immediately!" Doom replied to Enchantress.
"Look at me, Victor Von Doom! I am a goddess! Beautiful, powerful, immortal! What have I to gain here? I want no part of this war!" Enchantress gives her decision to Doom, she even offered to fix the face of Doom, which was burned.
But Doom declines because he wants to take the power of the Beyonder, Enchantress again pleads to Doom, that she didn't want to be part of to fight the Beyonder, she didn't want to face the ultimate death. But Doom didn't agree.
"YOU SHALL REGRET THIS…" Enchantress shouted at Doom. "You have your orders, Enchantress! Begone!" Doom shooed off her.
On the side of Galactus, he was using complex modules beamed down from his mighty worldship. He assembled a massive machine, while the heroes were still questioning what the Galactus was planning, because they still didn't understand his plan.
Then the heroes thought Galactus was planning to destroy the Battleworld, so the heroes were ready to fight him, but Galactus released a robot from his worldship, who kept the heroes busy.
"Ahhhhhhh," She-Hulk shouted, when the robot captured her in his hand. "My spider sense is tingling, guys look out," Spidey shouted, trying to save She-Hulk. But before everyone followed Spidey's warning, the robot released a beam from his mouth which hit some of them, making them paralyzed. Thor was also one of them who was hit by the robot energy beam.
"Thor's down! With his hammer out of the fight!" Human Torch said in shocked expression.
"Don't think about it! Do exactly as I told you! Our attack must be perfectly coordinated! That thing must be silenced at any cost!" Captain said, as he was running with Thing.
"Boy, I love that kind of talk!" Thing appreciate Captain America.
Then Captain throws his shield on the robot, which is stuck in the robot's one eye. "Good shot, Cap, now leave it to me," Sharky praised, and then he flew towards the giant robot, and focused his attack on the Captain's shield, "DESTROYED," Sharky shouted and his voice powers multiplied by reflection on the Vibranium Shield and the robot was destroyed into pieces.
But then suddenly the heroes were attacked by Dr. Doom and villains, who sneakily arrived there, when the heroes were busy fighting the robot.
But just as the villains attacked the heroes, X-Men had also sneakily arrived there. While the rest of the heroes were busy confronting the villains.
Mr. Fantastic tries to talk to Galactus, and Xavier and Magneto try to penetrate Galactus' mental shields, but to no avail. Magneto causes a mental surge, catching Galactus' notice, and Galactus destroys the X-Men's base and knocks back Richards.
Then Wrecker takes the benefits of X-Men and heroes mind shifted, and attacks on the Cyclops and injures him. Other villains also attacked the heroes.
"Hehehe, you all are really suckers, you attack us, when our mind is not focused on you, then you need to sleep down, baby," Sharky shouted and realized the Sleep Dust and spread it towards the villain.
Before the villains understand anything, many of them have fallen asleep, seeing that Sharky is going to capture all of them before knocking out the villains plus combined forces of the main group of heroes and the X-Men are too powerful, the Enchantress teleports the villains back to their base.
Meanwhile, the X-Men fly away, leaving Colossus seriously injured with the other heroes, other X-Men argue with not leaving Colossus, but Xavier and Magneto forcefully take the other X-Men.
While Galactus is distracted by the battle at his feet, Dr. Doom takes advantage of Galactus' brief attention on the heroes, and flies inside Galactus's spaceship, where he tries to find a way to kill both Galactus and Beyonder.
"I Victor Von Doom, shall find an answer here! No! I shall find a way for the virus to become strong… To overwhelm this mighty pulsing worldship and then Galactus himself… And then the Beyonder, all will kneel down in front of me," Doom said as he was walking inside the worldship.
He labors at an alien console, "This control activates this apparatus, which senses the intent of its user and accomplishes what he desires! Already, it has gathered up the strange vibratory energy which my armor's built-in sensors detected traveling, as if alive through these vessel walls!" He manipulates some controls of the console.
"Now, it is about to reveal the true nature of this phenomenon, by reconstituting the energy into something," Doom said, then he was shocked by seeing something, "Hold! What's this?"
Doom then noticed one person was also there, "What? Klaw! Klaw, the self styled master of sound?" He found it was Klaw, "What are doing here in the home of Galactus?" He asked, but Klaw didn't say anything, he stood in the style of a statue, then he moved.
"Answer me, fool! Speak! So commands Doctor Doom!" Dhoom again shouted at the Klaw.
"Doom? Doom, Doom, Room.. " Klaw pointed at Doom, he was confused and shocked, didn't know what happened to him? Where was he?
"So I have managed to find a raving lunatic!" Doom said to himself.
"Oh, I'm alive again? Oh good! You know, I was killed by Dazzler!" Klaw said as he understands the situation.
"Dazzler? The mutants who absorb sound and transform into light?" Doom asked.
Klaw then revealed, when he attacked the Dazzler, and since his full body was made of the sound, Dazzler was able to destroy him, by absorbing his sound, then Galactus came to Earth and took her as his herald. Which Dazzler denied, and even tried to fight Galactus.
And that's when she let out, as a big, energy burst, all that was left was a tiny vibration of Klaw, which was absorbed in the Galactus's ship, and now that's all.
"Enough, Klaw! Begone! You are of no use to me!" Dr. Doom dismissed the Klaw, and he again started making preparations to wait for the opportunity to conquer Galactus and then Beyonder.
"But Galactus will soon know you're here! If you stay here for long, he'll notice and then…" Klaw tried to warn him.
"Galactus is still preoccupied making preparations to devour the planet below. I am aware of my danger," Dhoom again denied his warning.
"He'll soon finish constructing his world draining device. As soon as he's done, he'll notice you being in his home! He will be well!" Klaw again warned Doom.
Meanwhile, on the hero's side, Zsaji, the white haired girl, heals Colossus, and Colossus also begins to fall in love with her, just like the Human Torch.
But, Galactus still continues to construct his world devouring machine, unhindered.
Wasp begins making her way back to the America faction. But her ship crashes and she finds Lizard in a swamp. They become friends.
Doom wants to delay Galactus' work so that he has more time to examine Taa II. He sends Klaw down to give orders to the other villains, who are somewhat in disarray. With new orders from Doom, Klaw returns to the villains.
Xavier takes a moment to rest his legs while the X-Men survey the damage done to their base by Galactus' psychic attack. Professor Xavier, who is conflicted about his new role as field commander of the X-Men, uses his mental powers to look at Doom's plan in the minds of the villains, ascertaining their new plan
"By Fanfir's teeth! Who dares to pry into my thoughts? Some… Mortals fool! You puny mortal! Thou hear this, the mind of goddess is too subtle for your clumsy probing ! And to the mightiest sorcerers of all. Your power is a joke," Enchantress senses his telepathic presence and blocks him.
But still some of the information Xavier has found says, "Attention! I have learned that Doom is dispatching a task force to a volcanic plain on the other side of the planet! Cyclops! You will lead Rogue and Wolverine to observe them. And stop them if you deem it necessary!" He commanded his X-Men through telepathy.
"Yes sir!" Cyclops agreed. But Storm gets angry at Xavier because, unhappy with Xavier's new direct leadership role, confronts him.
"You wish to speak to me, Storm?" Xavier asked her.
"I am the leader of the X-Men, not Cyclops, and not you!" She pointed on the Xavier
"Control yourself, your anger is disrupting weather patterns for miles around. Which may make it difficult for Cyclops's sky craft to take off," Xavier tried to calm her down.
"Let him wait! I did not order him to take off!" Storm shouted in anger
"So you are the field general and I am what? The aged training officer, fit, perhaps, to hone your battle skills, but not to lead! Is that what you believe?" Xavier questions her.
"You are an excellent tutor! Leave the war to the warriors!" Storm replied
Xavier replied back, "Notwithstanding your doubts, I have made the decision which is mine to make, I will give the orders! Understood?"
"Give your orders then, and see who follows them! I will go my own way!" Storm said.
"No, you will not! You, and the rest of my X-Men, will obey without hesitation! As loath as I am, but I will even willing to tamper with your or the other X-Men mind if that is what it takes to get her to submit to his leadership," Xavier gives her answer.
"I see! The stakes here are unimaginably high… The odds are already heavily against us, and yet, you are willing to beat your own troops into submission to ensure that your honor is leading them into catastrophe!" Storm replied as she turned back and went on her way.
Meanwhile, in the tiny alien village where the forces under Captain America's command have taken refuge. Colossus, who is in the alien village, is having trouble remembering Kitty Pryde, and can now only dream of Zsaji but she is whisked away by the Human Torch. Which makes Colossus jealous of her relationship with Johnny Storm. The rest of the heroes try to heal and prepare for battle
Meanwhile, fulfilling Doom's command as relayed via Klaw, the Molecule Man, Titania, Dr. Octopus, and the Absorbing Man are out to destabilize some of Battleworld's volcanoes, in an attempt to divert Galactus.
The sortie of three X-Men attack, and during the fight Wolverine slashes Molecule Man, almost killing him. Since the Molecule Man was necessary to their plans of destabilizing the volcanoes, the villains pick him up and retreat.
The X-Men don't know what the villains were trying to do with the volcanoes, but guess it has something to do with Galactus. Cyclops decides to activate them on his own, using his optic blast, which causes them to erupt in a chain reaction.
The Wrecking Crew, which is driving an enormous tank-like vehicle, happens upon Wasp and Lizard in the swamp. They shoot Wasp, seemingly killing her, and enraging the Lizard, who feels that she is one of the only people to care about him. They freeze both the Wasp and the Lizard in a stasis ray and carry them back in their vehicle back to Doombase.
Meanwhile the heroes were still watching over the Galactus, they didn't understand what was really his plan. She-Hulk even offered to fight with Galactus, but the Captain stopped her. But unknown to them, A dark figure lurks in the shadows in the heroes' camp.
"Hey! Who are you?" Human Torch asked, looking at the dark figure, and it shows she is wearing the dress of Spider Man but in black color, while white color of spider was printed on her dress.
"Hello everybody! I'm Spider Woman, Julia Carpenter!" She replied.
"You speak English! You're from Earth! But you're a different lady than the Spider Woman we knew," Captain said.
"The Beyonder used fragments of many planets to build this world. I assume you were on one of them!" Reed explained.
"A whole suburb of Denver! We just suddenly found ourselves here! Who… or what is the Beyonder?" Spider Woman explained and asked.
"He's the dude who brought us here, and some heavy duty bad guys to fight! I guess he was bored one day…" Iron Man answered her.
"I saw evidence of the fighting! I want to help you," Julia replied.
"What makes you think you can help us?" Hawkeye asked her.
Julia picked up a big rock, "Well, I'm strong."
"Hmm… That you are, but…" Captain said.
"But you're worried that I'm a spy, right? One of the bad guys, here to stab you in the back!" Julia guessed as she threw the rock.
"No, I don't think Doom would bother with treachery! He's got too much raw power at his beck and call," Captain denied her suspicion.
'She tossed that boulder as easily as I could have… At least! I wonder if she sticks to walls, too,' Spider-Man thought seeing Julia action, he continued his thoughts, 'And I wonder if I can sue her for infringing on my shticks! I should have a gotten a patent or trademark or something'
But suddenly the Wrecking Crew shows up in their tank Captain moves back to the villagers, while Piledriver opens up the top of the tank, "Hey, you jerks! Here's a present for ya… From the Wrecking Crew! Catch!" He shouted at them and threw out the body of the Wasp, and returned towards their Doombase.
"It's the Wasp!" She-Hulk said and caught her. They bring her to Zsaji. Zsaji, the healer, attempts to help Wasp but it is too late, she's dead.
The heroes are now enraged, but Captain America argues that they can't take a chance attacking the villains while Galactus is at work-they may need to strike him at a moment's notice to keep him from consuming the planet. The She-Hulk, however, stalks off.
Wolverine, Rogue, and Cyclops get a message from Professor X, who is setting off in a separate ship with the other X-Men. They are all going to attack the ship with Dr. Octopus, Titania, Absorbing Man, and the wounded Molecule Man, hoping to take advantage of their disarray.
The villains are worried that Reese will die, and that Doom will take it out on them. Marsha Rosenberg-Volcana-sees what's happening on their base's screens and asks the Enchantress for help. She agrees, but only if Volcana will pay a price later on. She teleports Volcana to the ship.
Volcana goes towards Owen, Titania is shocked seeing her, "Volcana! How'd you get here?" She asked.
"I made a deal with the Enchantress!" Volcana replied.
"What? Girl, ever since we were kids back in Colorado, you've done a lot of stupid things over a lot of wimpy mama's boys, but this takes the cake!" Titania shouted at her.
"Oh, shut up sketeer! Owie, my poor cuddly-wuddly baby! I'm here, darling! I'm going to keep you warm and safe till we get some… Then Doctor Doom or somebody will make you all better!" Volcana hugged Owen and said.
Titania is disgusted by her behavior, but suddenly, Dr. Octopus warns them, "Whoever you all are back there, brace yourself for evasive maneuvers! We're under attack!"
The X-Men attack the ship,which crashes. They fight. Professor X is having difficulty, because the Enchantress has still sealed their minds against him; how can he lead without his powers? Wolverine cuts off the Absorbing Man's arm when it is in rock state, and he runs. The villains retreat under the cover of Volcana's fire.
The other villains also return and try to figure out how to heal Reece. Creel manages to fix his cut-off arm by sticking back to the stump and turning back to normal. The Wrecking Crew sticks the Lizard in a cell.
Then She-Hulk, looking for revenge for the Wasp, gets inside the villains base, "What are you doing here?" Bulldozer asked in shock.
"I am coming back to get revenge. You all will pay for what you have done to Wasp," She shouted and attacked Bulldozer, and quickly defeated the entire Wrecking Crew.
Titania entered there, "She-Hulk, not bad! Now that the preliminaries are out of the way, you are ready for the main event,"she said to her.
"You! Doom's muscle woman," She-Hulk taunts her.
"Titania! Remember that name! You'll be using it soon when you're begging for your life," Titania shouted and started fighting with She-Hulk. While the Wrecking Crew also recoup and start fighting with She-Hulk. Doctor Octopus and Absorbing Man show up then they all beat She-Hulk almost to death.
Meanwhile, Galactus notices the volcanoes that Cyclops set off, and has to take some time fixing the planet before he can use his machine. However, he also notices that Doom is in his ship, and sends him back to his base.
"Is it over… Finished…" Doom said as he fell on his bed. Enchantress finds Doom, much the worse for wear after Galactus' treatment.
Colossus finds Zsaji, who passes out; she is coming out of the Wasp's room. The other heroes, not knowing that She-Hulk is gone, still importune Captain America to let them attack, but he is too concerned about Galactus.
Then he gets a telepathic message from Professor X-the X-Men will watch Galactus, and the heroes can attack the villains. Captain America agrees, and they get ready to leave.
The heroes were going to attack the villains, they moved towards the Doombase, "Hurry! She-Hulk in trouble, I know it!" Captain Marvel said.
"Hey, She-Hulk is tough! She's got'em outnumbered if you ask me! I hope!" Spidey said to her, he was sitting on Hulk's shoulders.
And they finally entered inside the Doombase, and attacked on the villain. The villains stop beating She-Hulk to join the rest of the fight. Spider-Man acquits himself well against the Wrecking Crew and later against Titania, Ben Grimm attempts to take on Absorbing Man but turns human again, He is saved by Julia Carpenter, who knocks out Absorbing Man with his own ball and chain.
But then suddenly Sharky fled from there, "Sharky, where are you going?" Captain asked, but Sharky didn't reply, he simply fled from there, leaving behind the heroes fighting the villains.
Inside, the Enchantress is getting drunk from despair, after seeing what happened to Doom. When Hulk entered inside her room, she tried to magically charm the Hulk, "Don't force me to hit you, I mean I don't want to have to. Look at my magnificent one! Am I not, at once, every woman you have ever desired."
"I … I … I…," Hulk was stuttering, he wasn't able to get out the proper words.
"Stare into my eyes! Love me, Love me," And the Hulk has fallen in her charms, "Mortal cretin!" She laughed at him while Hulk does the idiotic things. While she again became busy drinking.
But the same time Captain America entered the room, Enchantress tried to do the same to him, but couldn't do the same to Captain America. He knocks her out with his shield despite her Asgardian physiology, perhaps enabled by her drinking.
And at the same time main Sharky appeared here, "So this is a different Universe, totally cut off from the main Marvel Multiverse," Sharky said, as he looked around himself, he found this planet was so big.
"I have connected to my Sweet Sharky doppelganger, let's see, what the knowledge he has gathered," Sharky said, and just with his mental link, the Sweet Sharky flew from the heroes and villains fight from the Doombase, and appeared in front of Sharky and then both of merged together, and finally the Sharky gets the all of the knowledge of the events happening in the Battleworld.
"So, this planet is formed from the many planets, and their heroes come from different eras and different places. Mutants of different planets, Fantastic Four of different planets, only the Avengers from the Universe 12041 has comes here, and this Beyonder is amazing, even The Living Tribunal can't able to sense him, let's see what he has to offer," Sharky said as flew towards the Doombase, where heroes and villains were still fighting.
