Chereads / Journey Of Ben Tennyson / Chapter 27 - Jean's Decision

Chapter 27 - Jean's Decision

As Amelia attempted to dodge, she was hit by one of the Energy Beam attacks. Vuk saw Amelia lose her balance; she continued her attack. Losing her balance, she became a vulnerable target for Vuk's unrelenting assault. The Energy Beams tore through her body, inflicting severe damage.

Tearing at Amelia's body from multiple angles, like a giant beam, Vuk used the final, powerful blast, which shattered Amelia into numerous pieces and scattered across the train.

The reactions of those present were a mix of shock, surprise, and sadness. Beast was shocked that Amelia could continuously dodge the Energy Beams, but he was taken aback when she eventually lost.

Scott was also shocked by what he was witnessing, and as Amelia's body began to fall apart, his shock turned into a sense of loss.

Charles initially felt happy that someone had been able to stop Vuk, but his happiness was short-lived as he watched Amelia's fate unfold.

"Now see, what happened to your wife, just as I promised, she was now destroyed, who is coming next," Vik mocked Ben, while giving the option, who is going to fight her next.

"See back side," Ben said, as Vuk turned back, the antagonist was equally astonished by this turn of events.

Mutants were also amazed when they discovered all of Amelia's body parts had come together and were starting to reform into one whole body; it was like a miracle.

The resurrection of Amelia left Beast, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, and Professor X shocked. They were not prepared for such a miraculous event.

Eric and Storm, on the other hand, remained calm, having previously witnessed this incredible display of power.

Vuk's resurrection powers were not so extraordinary without acquiring all of the Dark Phoenix's power. Which Amelia had.

Frustrated and humiliated, "I will again destroy you," she shouted, and attempted to use her powers against Amelia once more. This time, she unleashed an array of energy beams alongside the activation of her Telekinesis.

Amelia, instead of dodging the attacks, allowed herself to be hit. As before, she shattered into fragments.

Vuk, thinking she had finally succeeded, activated her Reality Manipulation powers to erase Amelia's existence from reality.

She assumed Amelia's fragments were no longer present, and a sense of relief washed over her.

"You have seen my power," Vuk said, as she turned towards Ben and Mariam, she became again shocked as she found Amelia again. Amelia nestled herself in Ben's arms.

"You are truly useless, and our fight has become quite boring. My king won't even be able to enjoy it." Amelia taunted her, giving a peck on Ben's cheek.

Vuk felt rage, anger, and a sense of humiliation. She had finally realized that their battles were merely a source of entertainment for Ben, Amelia, and Mariam. This increased her anger even more.

"You will feel my rage," she shouted as she activated Energy Projection and created an energy beam with Telekinesis, pointing all of her powers at Mariam. She used Reality Manipulation to erase the existence of Mariam from reality. She thought maybe Amelia had immortal powers, but Mariam did not.

But Vuk is wrong, Mariam also instantaneously regenerates herself. As she was looking at this idiot, her reaction was one of disgust.

The battle between Vuk and Amelia left the mutants shocked and amazed. Beast, Nightcrawler, Scott, Eric, Storm, and Charles Xavier all had varying reactions to the incredible display of powers, but none of them could fully comprehend the extent of what they were witnessing.

Beast was astounded, having never witnessed such an amazing display of power. Nightcrawler felt a sense of inferiority in comparison to Amelia's abilities.

Eric and Storm, though still surprised, had a more tempered reaction, as they had prior knowledge of Amelia and Mariam's powers.

Initially delighted when he thought Vuk might not be able to control the Dark Phoenix's power, Charles Xavier's joy quickly faded when he realized that Sophie had stopped fighting Vuk.

Xavier was about to tell Ben to stop Vuk, but before he could speak, he saw Vuk attacking Mariam.

Ben was angry, so angry, his red eyes were proof of this. Even he didn't know what had happened; when someone attacked Mariam. He felt the same reaction for all of his girls, but when Mariam got attacked, his anger increased to another level.

Just before Amelia fights, and he didn't stop her because he knew, Amelia will never die, unless someone has the power to stop instant regeneration.

Mariam also has the same power, but when she gets hurt, he feels pain from his heart.

He realized this now; Mariam was his turning point. Perhaps it was because she was the youngest among his wives. Or maybe it was because she was shy. Or perhaps it was because she always fulfilled his every wish.

Or maybe it was because she never demanded anything. Or maybe, because she would always have those puppy eyes, filled with tears on the inside, and he knew exactly what she wanted. In any case, he was angry.

Ben quickly caught Vuk by the neck. "Well, you see, Mariam is my everything. I love her so much. Once, a person claiming to be a god attacked her. But you know what happened afterward; he was begging me to spare his life. He even acknowledged himself as my servant. But he's dead now." Eric and Storm know whom Ben is referring to.

Vuk found herself frozen. And in a few seconds, she broke down. But she appeared again. "Just like your wives, I can also be reborn, so you can't do anything. Maybe, you are the strongest, but since I have the power of the Dark Phoenix, you cannot kill me. Because I will be able to resurrect myself, using my Resurrection power." Vuk mocked Ben. Finally, she was also able to demonstrate how she could use her powers.

She also knows, since she does not have all of the Dark Phoenix's power, she can only resurrect herself nine times.

Ben was somewhat amused by Dark Phoenix's powers. However, he also knew that not all Phoenixes were capable of constantly resurrecting and it took them time to grow into adulthood.

The Dark Phoenix is something special; she has done something taboo, resulting in gaining herself immortality. However, it also took her will and body. She became the Dark Phoenix from the Fire Phoenix. Now, she can only exist by inhabiting another being.

This time, he froze only one of her hands. "Well, even if you have the full Dark Phoenix's power. My decision is final, even the Dark Phoenix is unable to save you. So, what can a mere power do?" He shouted as he broke her hand. As the broken hand was trying to fix itself, he took away the Dark Phoenix's power from it, causing her to scream in pain as her broken hand disintegrated.

It was a shocking movement for anyone. Vuk finally realized her left hand was not recovering as quickly as she had hoped, "How is this even possible?" She was shocked, and fear began to brew within her.

"Well, it is not impossible, if I leave you for a year or two, your hands might recover, but since you are facing me." Ben said as he froze her right hand, which had shattered into pieces after she fell, and again, all the Dark Phoenix energy gathered from around her body, joining itself together on the same spot where the first one was.

Vuk screams in pain, "You're quite beautiful," Ben says, as he holds her chin, "but this is the face you have stolen, you filthy, ugly alien." With his free hand, he shatters all of her body parts, leaving only her head intact.

Before the Vuk's body resurrects, he takes away all of her force, causing her existence to cease to exist. As the Dark Phoenix's force is taken away, she cannot find Vuk; Dark Phoenix's force slips into Jean's body, as she was hiding in the last cabin.

All of the mutants were shocked by seeing such a horrific death. Eric and Storm's reactions were slightly more normal, but even they were awestruck by what they saw.

This time, though, they witnessed Ben's powers firsthand; one time he burned Apocalypse, this time he froze Vuk. From now on, Erik and Storm's prayers are that they never anger Ben again.

The silence had settled in; Ben was now ready to meet Emma and Elizabeth. But when he was about to leave, he heard Charles calling his name.

When Professor X called out to him, he paused to hear what the telepathic leader of the X-Men had to say. Xavier didn't want to talk to this Death God. But he saw that Ben was able to control the Phoenix power, and he wanted Ben's help.

Xavier expressed his concern for Jean Grey's unstable condition and her long history of struggling with her powers.

"Ben, if you are able to control Dark Phoenix's power, please consider helping Jean Grey. She has had a difficult life; she was in an unstable condition," Xavier urged, expressing his concern for Jean's precarious situation.

Ben knew about Jean's situation but hadn't considered intervening before; she was in a budding romantic relationship with Scott Summers and he knew they hadn't crossed the line, but this was not his problem. Xavier's request made him question Scott's stance.

Turning his attention to Xavier, Ben asked for confirmation. "Scott has no problem with this?" He wanted to ensure that helping Jean wouldn't cause any issues in her relationship with Scott. He didn't want to overstep any boundaries.

"Yes, what problem could Scott have with it? He'll likely be happier with this decision," Xavier replied, finding the question somewhat perplexing.

Scott felt the weight of Charles and Ben's eyes on him, and after a moment's hesitation, he spoke: "Yes, I have no problem with it."

With everyone in agreement, Ben proceeded to open the gate to the last cabin, where Jean was seated. Jean had been privy to the discussion and understood what was unfolding.

As the Dark Phoenix's power was integrated within Jean Grey, she found herself in an unstable situation. She was aware that she could not control this immense power. The eyes of everyone around her were fixed upon her. Jean struggled to find the right words to explain her situation.

Ben asked Jean Grey gently, "Would you like to come with me?" He wanted to make sure she made her own choice and didn't feel pressured into anything.

Jean, with a heavy heart, replied, "Yes, I'm okay with it." She understood the dangers her powers posed to those around her and was willing to leave in order to protect them.

"One last question, Jean," Ben said again, wanting to make sure she understood what she was getting into. "After coming with me, you won't be able to be with Scott."

Jean nodded firmly. "Yes, I understand. It's for the best, both for me and for Scott's safety."

As Ben, Rose, Amelia, and Jean disappeared from the train, Charles Xavier breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that they had helped stabilize Jean Grey's unstable state.

Scott, though understanding the necessity of Jean leaving, couldn't help but feel a profound sadness. He knew they had made the right decision for her safety, but it was still difficult to accept.

Beast and Nightcrawler remained in awe of Ben's incredible power, a testament to their growing understanding of what mutants were truly capable of.

Eric and Storm, who had their own history with Jean Grey, couldn't help but feel a tinge of pity for Scott. They knew the future that awaited Jean, and they understood that there might be tragedy in her future as well. She will become the mother of one Tennyson with Ben Tennyson. Giving Ben the happiness of a daughter or son.

Because they knew whenever someone goes with Ben, they become the mother of Ben's child. When Emma goes with Ben, she becomes the mother of Ethan Frost Tennyson. And second time, Elizabeth goes with him, and the result is she gives birth to a daughter named Maria Tennyson.
