"We're so sorry about what happened between you and Lois."

Clark felt Kara's warmth as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, pulling him into a tight hug. He only half-heartedly returned the embrace. He too felt Karen's affectionate touch, rubbing circles into his back. But neither woman could bring him much comfort. Not then. He was still reeling from the very recent breakdown of his years-long relationship.

"We're here for you. Remember that." Karen told him in a soft voice, so different from her take-charge Power Girl persona.

Clark gave only a short nod. His mind was miles away. Sitting on Karen's couch, resting his chin on a curled fist, Clark could only ponder why Lois had decided to end things. The break-up wasn't even the worst part, but rather how he had been blindsided when he returned from a cosmic League mission. He enjoyed not even a single day back on Earth before being hit with the news that his relationship was over.

Superman could endure a great many things. But a broken heart? That was still up in the air.

It was tough times like this that made Clark feel grateful for having such a close family.

"Thanks, guys. Ladies." Clark frowned, unsure of how to address Karen and Kara. He certainly couldn't call either of them girls - even if they did keep the moniker as part of their hero names. For both of them, their physical maturity was clear as day… even if Clark himself made it a point to not notice. The taller man gave a heavy sigh, feeling Karen draw her gentle hands over his broad shoulders.

"I just… I thought things were going well. I told her I was Superman and we finally moved in together a few months ago. Right before I left for that League mission to another dimension, we talked about building a future, maybe getting married. But as soon as I got back…"

Clark frowned, his face hardening as recent memories left bitterness in their wake. He felt Kara hug him even tighter. He let out another sigh.

"I don't know. I'm still trying to make sense of it." Clark absently scratched at his brow. His nerves grew steely as he fought down feelings of sadness. What happened happened. There was no point crying about it. He sat up straight, turning to face Karen, forcing a smile. "But enough about that. How did you two handle that ice villainess? I heard it was a tough fight."

But Karen shook her head. She wasn't having any of it. For a reason unknown to him, Clark was suddenly struck by how beautiful she looked. Even wearing a simple white tank top and sweatpants and with a stern expression on her face, Karen was an alluring vision. But she was also his own blood. Clark reminded himself of that quickly and pushed those thoughts from his mind. The older of the two blondes crossed her arms - Clark ignored the effect this had on her cleavage - and gave him a frustrated look.

"We handled it. But we're not talking about her. We're talking about you." Karen said firmly.

Clark pressed his lips into a line, nodding. Arguing with his cousin - either of them - was an unwinnable fight. He let the matter drop.

An instant later, Karen's expression returned to being soft and sympathetic. She threw her arms around Clark just as Kara had, drawing him in for a deep hug. Both ladies tightened their embrace, smothering him from both sides with their warmth and affection. And as much as he tried, even a boy scout like Clark couldn't ignore the softness of their breasts pressing against his arms… or their nipples poking through the fabric of their tops. He did his very best to put his mind off of it.

"She's crazy for letting a stud like you get away." Kara cooed into his ear. She scooched her body closer on the couch until her nearly bare thigh pressed against his hip - Clark silently bemoaned Kara's preference for skirts and short shorts. Next, he felt Kara's soft lips press against his temple. "I thought Ms. Lane was supposed to be smart."

Karen scoffed on Clark's opposite side.

"She who falls off a thousand buildings? Not that smart, apparently." The older blonde's voice was dry, mocking.

Clark's frown deepened - his relationship with Lois may have been over, but the love he felt for the woman didn't just disappear. But he knew the two ladies were only trying to cheer him up.

But still… "stud"?

"Uh… thanks. I appreciate the support. Really."

Clark cleared his throat, definitely not thinking about his arm getting buried in the deep valley of Karen's cleavage or the pleasant sensation of Kara's lips peppering kisses on the side of his head. Nope. He wasn't thinking about those things at all.

"Please. We're family. The blood of Krypton has to stick together." Kara sweetly insisted. She stopped her kisses, now stroking her fingers through his thick hair. Not just affectionately. Lovingly.

Karen hummed in affirmation on his opposite side. She drew one of her arms back, rubbing circles in his back again. But this time she did it slower, more sensual. Taking the time to feel his body under his dress shirt.

Or rather, that's how it felt to Clark. He reminded himself the two ladies - his cousins - were only trying to cheer him up. Nothing untoward was happening. He was just overthinking things. Yes.

Clark shifted in his seat, straightening his back. Karen and Kara had been hugging him for a good while now - and showed no signs of letting go. The younger blonde continued to pet him, running her fingers through his hair. The bustier - the older of the pair continued feeling up his shoulders and back, massaging him slowly, deliberately.

The man nearly croaked out his next words. The way things were going, what he had to say would only make his situation worse - or better, from a certain perspective.

"Right. Lois said it'd be awkward running into me every morning…"

Finally, Kara drew away from him. Clark's alternate universe cousin sat up on her knees, staring aghast at the man before her.

"She kicked you out?" The usually perky blonde was incensed, damn near red-faced.

Even Karen ceased her back massage. Clark could feel her hard stare at the back of his head.

"Not quite." Clark answered calmly, gesturing for Kara to cool down. "It was a mutual agreement. So just relax. I'll be staying at the Fortress of Solitude until I can find a new apartment."

Behind him, Karen gave a mocking sputter.

"Don't be ridiculous. You're staying with us." It was very pointedly not a suggestion.

Clark knew better than to argue with the women of his family. But still, rooming with Karen and Kara? With them being so… affectionate? That was a recipe for… something not good. Or maybe he was just being a lunk and misinterpreting the signals. Maybe.

"I don't want to intrude." Clark's resistance was weak and he knew it. The two Kryptonian women could break it down without a sweat. Which was exactly what they did.

Both women rose from the couch then, standing before Clark with their hands on their hips. Frustration was clear in their blue eyes, but also love. Adoring love. Clark had no chance.

And what they were wearing didn't help. Karen in a low cut tank top, stretching the fabric to its limit. Her sweatpants snug to her hips and thighs. Or Kara in a loose t-shirt that somehow managed to hint at the lithe, nubile form underneath. And the scant pair of athletic shorts that left most of her long, creamy legs on display.

Clark blinked. He dispelled those thoughts quickly. He looked back up into their eyes.

"Kal, you're being silly." Kara whined, damn near pouting. She had to have been doing it on purpose. "Commuting from the North Pole every day is absurd. Even for Superman."

"So you're staying with us." Karen decided for him then. A small smirk played on her full lips, satisfied and proud as she watched a resigned expression fall across his face. "It's times like these when you need your family the most, Kal."

"Remember we're here for you. Anything you need." Kara swayed a little on her feet, a significant twinkle in her bright blue eyes. A meaningful smile spread across her pretty, rosy face. She met Clark's gaze, firm and unwavering. And the word she spoke next struck deep into the darker side of Clark's soul. "Anything."

So, despite the red flags of their overly affectionate touch and peculiar choice of words, Clark ended up giving in to his cousins' demands.

Until he found a new apartment in Metropolis, he was staying with them. But that didn't mean he'd be spending any time longer than necessary in their home. His male presence was not the sort that was needed in their female space, the sanctuary that was their apartment. He would sleep right there on the couch. That, he insisted upon.

Not that it helped. Clark couldn't get to sleep.

He let himself think that it was because of Lois and the mystery of their sudden break-up… but deep down, Clark knew the truth. What kept him awake and stirring on the couch… was them. Their bright eyes, their golden hair, their warm touch…

Their smooth, creamy skin…

Clark shook his head, disgusted with himself. The thoughts and ideas swimming through his head were the entirely wrong sort to have about his own blood. And yet they swam through his mind all the same. Dark, primal urges found their way even to the boy scout Clark Kent. Because at the end of the day, Superman was still very much a man.

It was then - the worst possible time - that he heard one of the bedroom doors open. Kara's, he knew.

A moment later, he felt her presence sweep into the living room. Though it was dark, his Kryptonian vision allowed him to see her plain as day. And most unfortunately - or perhaps fortunately - for himself, Kara was wearing even less than she had been earlier in the evening.

A white, spaghetti strap crop top, very tight and snug to her body. And pink panties. Not a stitch of clothing besides that. Her long legs, her tummy, her cleavage, all exposed. And though her bosom wasn't quite as impressive as Karen's, it was alluring all the same.

Then she began to draw closer.
