Chapter 31 - Chapter 31 No Good Deed

AN: Sorry guys I made a mistake with my riddles, the riddle from the last chapter was, how does a handbag kiss? The answer is. With pursed lips, check that out the next time you close your purse. Ha.

Michael was almost to his room when Razor stepped in front of him blocking his path. "Where are you going?" He growls. "To my room," Michael answered in a dry tone. "You're supposed to be guarding Jermaine, there still might be some traitors lurking around." Razor points out. "I respectfully ask Jermaine for a few minutes which you're increasing by standing in my way," Michael states.

"Is that your way of saying I'm wasting your time?" Razor asks through clenched teeth. Michael slowly lifted his eyes to Razor's but said nothing. Razor snorts, shakes his head, and steps to the side. Michael marched past him towards his door, grabbed the door handle, and swung the door open.

His fingers curled around the handle of his whip when he saw the same teen who was glaring at him before standing next to the girl. Her finger flew to her lips indicating for him to be silent as Razor appeared in the doorway and leaned against the frame. "Boss, this girl is under your protection, so why is she here?" The teen asks. "I do not know of her being under my protection," Razor said with a snort.

"Boss, she's the girl I like, she's one of the reasons I'm here." The teen said fighting to keep his temper in check. "Fuck, she's your pretty little thing? I told those idiots to bring me a pretty little thing from the community and they brought me your pretty little thing? Fuck, good help is so hard to find these days." Razor snorts.

"Well, if it's any consolation, she was only fucked by one man." Razor snorts rolling his eyes. Rohan's fingers curled into fists which didn't go unnoticed by the girl who gently touched his arm. Rohan then took a deep breath before speaking. "Permission to take her home boss."

"Well, Mr hot Head here declare to the entire household this morning that, and I quote, this bitch now belongs to him and he would behead anyone who so much as look in her direction, so have it out with him," Razor said as his phone rings, he checked it then move away from the door to answer it.

"Let's talk outside," Rohan said taking the girl by her hand and walking past Michael. Michael groans before taking a deep breath and following them. Rohan walks out into the courtyard, stops, and turns towards him, the girl still next to him. "Listen…I…" Michael began but the teen cut him off. "Shh, turn your back to the house and face me." He said.

Michael did as he was told but remained silent. "We have over ten pairs of eyes on us right now." He adds. "I'm going to make this brief, so listen. My girl who almost had a heart attack a few minutes ago when I walked into your room has told me all you've done for her and I'm eternally grateful." "Why would she have a heart attack" Michael asks. "She thought it was one of the gang members coming to assault her." "I see,"

"How old are you?" Michael asks. "I'm seventeen." "You look older," Michael states. "I know, I had to grow up really fast." He said In a regretful tone.

"you said something about taking her home?" Michael asks. "Yes." "Well the sooner the better." Michael urges. "About that, she said that you asked for her forgiveness before you, went down to the kitchen this morning, so this is me asking for yours." "What do you need to be forgiven fo…..? Before Michael could finish his sentence the teen fist slams into the side of his face.

Michael held his cheek as his eyes met the teen's. "How's that for, selling it, to the man that supposedly slept with my girl?" The teen asks as he walks past Michael, dragging the girl along with him. He then stops and walks back towards Michael.

"You went through a lot to save my girl so I'm going to do something for you as well. "You think your room might be bugged? Well, it is and so is your phone, so be careful what you say on it." The teen said before walking away again.

This no-good deed goes unpunished saying was becoming a real pain in his ass and his cheek. Michael thought massaging his cheek as he walked towards where he had left Jermaine. He knew his room was probably bugged but his phone? Now that was news. How long has it been bugged? He wondered. Probably since the very moment Blade put it next to him, Blade was indeed someone he would need to keep a very close eye on.

"Holy shit man! I saw that, damn! Are you alright? That was some punch? And you let him get away with that?" "Well, I did sleep with his girl," Michael said still rubbing his cheek. "Shit, that sucks and I brought some Gizzada for you to try, but the crust is a bit tough so I'm not sure if you can bite it now," Jermaine said with a pout.

"Giz-a-what?" Michael asks confused. "Gizzada man, here try one," Jermaine said shoving one at him. "What Is this made of?" Michael asks eyeing the pastry suspiciously. "Why do you need the recipe for everything you eat? Damn, that is just fucking annoying." Jermaine laughs.

"Anyway, it is made of, shredded coconut, salt, vanilla, rose water, and sugar, in a flour base of course," Jermaine said. Michael's eyes met Jermaine's and for a few seconds, he said nothing. "Just try the damn thing," Jermaine said impatiently. Michael did and chew slowly. Then made a funny face.

"Sweet, very sweet." He said shaking his head vigorously. "Okay, here, drink some water," Jermaine said handing him a bottle while laughing. "I've been meaning to ask you, how old are you?" Jermaine ask. "Don't know, how old do I look?" "Um, I would say late twenties, but I like you, you're fun to be with. So now are you ready to teach me some of your moves?" Jermaine asks jumping around Michael while throwing air punches. "Yeah, let's do this, but that, I won't be eating again," Michael said drinking more water. "So, I guess Grater cake is out of the question then," Jermaine said laughing even harder as Michael gave him an even more confused look.

It was now ten pm and Michael found himself pacing his room. He needed to talk to Liah but he couldn't use his phone. That disgusting tyrant heard all his conversations with Liah up until the other night. Thank goodness she mostly talks about her holy one, but he won't be hearing anymore, not if he could help it.

He had no idea what she must think of him now that she had heard about the young girl who spent the night in his room. Well, there was only one way he was going to talk to her in private, he had to go see her, but it was already ten in the night. Would she still be up at this hour? Well, there was only one way he was going to find out. He thought grabbing his phone and coat and heading for the door.

"Um….boss….your boy is on the move." Blade said from the door of Razor's office. "Well you said we need to give him freedom, so let him go. We already know where he is going, so just keep an eye on him." "Yes, boss." Blade said and left the office.

Fifteen minutes later Michael was parked at her gate. He sighed in disappointment as he noticed that all the lights in her house were off. She must be in bed. He thought while tapping his fingers on the screen of his phone contemplating whether to call her or not.

He unlocked his phone and was about to dial her number when he saw her front door open and she stepped out, walked to a chair, and sat down. She often told him that she was on her veranda, so he assumed that was what she called that porch-looking thing she was now sitting on.

Even though her features were half hidden in the shadows he realizes that he had no trouble seeing her. How? He had no idea; he must have very good eyesight. She didn't look contented though, she looked very sad, one could even say she looked miserable.

Did she fight with her prince? He wondered. She looks up and notices the car parked at her gate. He saw her eyes narrow in anger at the car, but she didn't move, she just sat there glaring at it.

He came to her house to talk to her, so why was he sitting behind these tinted windows where she couldn't see him? He thought to himself. With a snort, he shakes his head and opens the car door. The gentle night breeze ruffles the hair at his neck and the coat around his thighs as he closes the car door and approaches her gate.

While opening her gate he saw her slowly rise from her seat, her phone that was in her hand fell onto the seat she had just gotten up from and she just stood there as if rooted by shock. He closed her gate behind him, turned, and slowly walked towards her.

He had taken about five steps when she dashed from the porch and down the steps towards him and just as she did before, she flung herself into his arms and wrapped her arms tightly around him. "It's you, it's really you." She said wrapping her arms tighter. "I can't believe you're really here. It was you sitting in that car all this time? Are you alone?" She asks looking in the direction of the car.

"Yes, I'm alone." He answers softly. "So, Razors just let you leave on your own?" She asks in disbelief. "I didn't exactly ask for his permission." He chuckles. "You do know that you're driving without a license, right?" "Yes, but I really needed to talk to you."

"So, why were you just sitting there?" She pouts. "I know you had heard of the young girl that spend the night in my room and I wasn't quite sure what you thought of me right now." He said in a soft tone. "I knew that wasn't what it looked like, knuckle head." She said smiling up at him. "Really?" "Yes, I know you wouldn't do something like that."

"Thank you for believing in me, but you know you can't say that to anyone, right? No matter what people say, you can't defend me." "Yes, yes, I know." She said with a heavy sigh. "Everyone has to keep believing that you actually slept with that child, ugh, damn that blasted creep." She swears.

"My thoughts exactly." He chuckles and she couldn't resists rubbing her cheek against his vibrating chest. "Why did you look so sad when you came outside?" He asks massaging her back. "Because I missed you terribly and I couldn't see you or get you on your phone." She said against his chest.

"Why didn't you answer your phone?" she asks with a pout as she looks up at him. "I know you were going to asks me about the girl and I didn't want to have that conversation over the phone, then I later found out that my phone has been bugged since I got it, so we have to be careful what we discuss on it from now on, okay."

"Okay." She whispers breathing in his scent. She run her finger down the back of his shirt and felt his muscles move beneath her fingers. "Hmm." She moans contentedly. "Wait, you're here, as in actually here." She said biting her bottom lip seductively and smiling mischievously up at him. "And?" He asks leaning his head to the side and smiling down at her. "Come with me." She said grabbing his hand and dragging him towards her house.
