Chapter 1 - ROYALE ACADEMY

Havana stepped into the large school as she stared at it in horror.

She hated schooling, no infact, she hated the world and hated anything that had to do with it except of course the orphanage home where she came from and sadly, that was why she was here.

Havana wasn't exactly the kind of girl who befriends people, infact she loathed them, hated them as she saw the world as nothing but darkness of all sorts but fortunately for the orphanage and sadly unfortunate for her, she had been given a scholarship to study at the best and most expensive school in Mexico, *ROYALE ACADEMY*.

Her goal was to make it here in this school and have enough money for her orphanage to live the best of life for at least hundred years and then she can leave them in peace. She dreamed of living alone in an island just with the animals and the sounds of moving trees and all that.

But first, the Green Bay Orphanage home had to be settled, so here she was... Havana....with no surname.

Maybe, Havana wouldn't have left her home in the southern side of New York just to attend ROYALE ACADEMY here in Mexico....that is...if she knew what she was in for.

"Scholarship student?" Someone stepped into her front with a smirk. Havana's eyes roamed round the lady's body, she was huge, had arms built in for a man, she probably worked out a lot for a lady, had a sharp jaw and a visible neck line, peculiar to a lady of her.... composure. It was an habit of Havana to scrutinize someone new to her, she felt like she saw their weaknesses.

"Yes." She gave a short reply and the lady smiled.

"Michel. Welcome to Royale Academy." She introduced herself and stretched out her hand. Havana gave her a glance without a word and scoffed.

"Mannerless? I see. Follow me." Michel said and walked towards the direction of the large garden. Rather, the whole place were filled with green bushes which formed like a cover to the real school. A single pathway, wide enough for about five people was the only free way.

Havana gave a short smile, the smell of the plants and birds chirping gave her peace. The butterflies made her feel at ease.

"Go on in." Michel said as they got to a door that formed the opening to an office.

"And you might not know..but be nice. Being a scholarship student would be a distress to you. It'll be harder when you are rude." She added.

"I never asked for your advice." Havana said shortly. She hated the words of people who acted smarter and all that, when actually they are all the same, ruthless evil minded demons.

Michel scoffed angrily as she flexed her muscles and walked away, disappearing into the green bushes. Havana thought she had hallucinated so she blinked her eyes slowly. Michel was gone.

She sighed as she minded her business and turned into the office. She might be a loner but then, she had the etiquettes. She knocked on the door and waited for a reply before she walked in.

It was a big office and fully furnished in such a beautiful way.

Havana gave the office a single glance and sat down slowly and appropriately.

"Havana...." The lady said slowly, implying she had an interest in the last name.

"Just Havana." She muttered silently.

"Ooh. Okay." The lady smiled.

"Welcome to ROYALE ACADEMY. You are on a scholarship program fully sponsored by the school. We have just three students from around the world who won the scholarship program and you are lucky to be the second of them. Just so you know, once you sign the paperwork, you have no right to leave the premises of this school till the allocated period of two years, starting today, since fortunately, you would be placed in a class where your mates should be due to the efficiency of your brain which we confirmed by the results of your scholarship program and your composure, Miss Havana. Do you understand?" The lady asked.

Of course, Havana understood the woman perfectly, her hearing were ten times better than everyone she knew and especially and most importantly, when the woman spoke like a programmed robot designed just for this purpose.

"Where is the paperwork?" Havana asked and the lady gave it to her. She signed at the appropriate places without reading and suddenly, she felt she had made a big mistake.

"Congratulations, Miss Havana. Now dispose your phone, your clothing and every other things you have into this basket." The lady said and brought out a basket.

"Why should I?" Havana asked.

"You'll be cut out from the outside world in the two years which you'll be studying here. Didn't you read that?" The lady asked innocently.

"Why didn't you ask me to read that? This is infringing on my rights and properties and it is punishable by the law." Havana shot. Why hadn't the woman told her to read first? She hated what was going on and wanted to leave now.

"It was written that you also have no rights and properties and laws in Royale Academy. Now if you will, I'll like to have your things."

"Then what do you want me to put on?" Havana asked calmly. She had to put herself in order for those in the orphanage.

The lady smiled professionally and opened her drawer, bringing out the uniform in a clean leather.

"Is this what I'll wear for the period of two years?" Havana asked with a scoff.

"No. When you get to your room, you shall see your exact sizes of clothing in the wardrobe." The lady said. Havana sighed and collected the uniform. She pulled her clothes right there and changed immediately into the uniform. It comprised of a white shirt with a short fluffy bow tie, a red short hand sweater and a black jacket on a short skirt, white long stockings in a black boot.

She looked good after changing and her long hair was brushed to match her perfect outfit.

"This is your manual...." The lady said and gave Havana a big book to carry.

"..and also beware of the students in the school as some of them possess powers that are out of this world." She added.

"And by powers...you mean..

"Welcome To ROYALE ACADEMY." The lady interrupted and turned a knob on her desk. The chair Havana was sitting on went down a long underground tunnel and she gasped lightly as the chair hit the floor after a long ride.

"She should have given me a heads-up. That lady, isshh." She balled her fingers in a cursing manner. The door opened revealing her to the bright sunlight. Gosh, how she loved the green bushes she came through. Now, she was never going to see them again.

"Follow me, Havana." Michel suddenly appeared from nowhere at her front again and Havana just gave a unperturbed look as she followed her.

She was led past a lot of skyscraper buildings and finally arrived at the middle of the school. They were at least about a thousand students in the school which she had seen. She wondered why no one on the internet was talking about how the school confiscated all items from them for a period of time. She meant, that was totally uncalled for, especially when they were not allowed to leave the school.

Michel turned to another direction and they appeared at a gate. The gate opened automatically and there were different large mansions in it, it looked like an estate. Havana's eyes widened in shock but she collected herself pretty quick. Now she knew why getting the scholarship to study here was so hard and only three students were accepted at that. Coming as the second bothered her which meant that there was a first, who was he or she, that was able to beat Havana? No one had ever won her before. Won? Yes, it was always a competition to Havana and she couldn't wait to see the person.

Michel took her directly to one of the mansions in the estate and opened the door, walking in.

"This would be your house till you are free to leave the school." She said, rather coldly.

Havana smirked, was this what that lady called a room? This was a mansion, a fvcking man....

"You are not living here alone, you have two other housemates but your room belongs to you." Michel pointed out. Havana shrugged, if she couldn't have the house, a room would still be great, at least she had time and privacy to herself.

" Welcome to ROYALE ACADEMY." Michel said and turned around, closing the door as she left. Havana blinked, was saying that a rite they had to fulfill?

"Come on. Come on. We would be late." A girl rushed down from the stairs in a hurry and didn't notice when she hit Havana. Havana fell, face down on the floor, the huge manual hitting her afterwards.

"Fvck this!" She cursed, as she got up quickly before the girl could help her up.

"Are you blind?" She shot.

"I'm sorry. I was in such a hurry." The girl apologized.

"Who is that, Cherry?" Someone else asked, running down, her face painted in different shades of color called make-up. Havana scoffed.

"I'm your new housemate." She said, folding her hands.

"I bumped into her, Ellie." Cherry said, obviously scared of Havana and Havana eyed her.

"Did you apologize? If you did, we are late for class and we need to leave." Ellie said quickly. Cherry quickly moved away from Havana and walked to Ellie immediately.

Havana shrugged and walked upstairs slowly, wondering where her room was.

"Your room is the last. We hated black so we left that for whoever will be there." Cherry said and Havana smirked, grateful for the announcement. Thankfully, black was her favorite color.

"You shouldn't be late to class, it starts in fifteen minutes and the supernaturals shouldn't get there before you. They are kind of mean." Ellie said and that made Havana stop and turn to them.

"Who are the supernaturals?" She asked.
