Synopsis
I have come to seek guidance, O God of man, for wherein lies true fulfillment in the path of meaningful existence? I have spectated, I have seen. I have pondered but to no avail. The answer lies still beyond my sight. I have seen rich men die with regret, and poor men with the most brilliant of smiles. I have also seen the inverse. Wherein lies the ends of all man, the reason for our existence?

Chapter 1 - The Journey Begins.

I've always had this question, this burning, itching question, buried in the back of my mind in the flurry of my existence. I have lived a long time, more than most. I've seen the rise of empires, and their subsequent, inevitable collapse. I've seen the lives of many, reaped and sowed, but to no avail. I have yet to see my answer.

I proceed to the domain of my benefactor. He is the existence that has bestowed immortality onto my body, and wisdom my soul. Though my eyes cannot see the answer, his eye sees all. My ability remains meager in comparison, but his omnipotent.

"I have come to seek guidance, O God of man, for wherein lies true fulfillment in the path of meaningful existence? I have spectated, I have seen. I have pondered but to no avail. The answer lies still beyond my sight. I have seen rich men die with regret, and poor men with the most brilliant of smiles. I have also seen the inverse. Wherein lies the ends of all man, the reason for our existence? "

I wait for the revelation.

And I am thankful that it is given.

"I know not of the ends of my creations, as bestowed upon them is a will free to pursue which they each desire. However, I know that the answer lies not within the one who merely ponders this question, but in the one who deigns to explore for the answer. Though the one who merely ponders takes no risk, how can one see the rainbow without experiencing rain?"

And here begins my journey. No longer as a mere spectator, but an active existence living in the days of mortal men.
