Study tour—An event that is conducted once a year on each campus, such as visiting tourist attractions or other places related to history. Or it could be that the study tour is intended to take a vacation to nice places like Jeju Island. The theme can be changed depending on the decision of the campus.
The theme of the study tour this time is vacation. Of course, each department will visit different places due to the large number of students.
"Wow, we're on the same schedule," said So Hyun who had no idea when she appeared and stood next to Tae Hoon who was looking at the bulletin board.
Tae Hoon was clearly surprised, and almost jumped up in shock. But he was lucky to be able to hold it in.
"I guess it's fate," So Hyun said again accompanied by a long smile.
Tae Hoon couldn't argue, he didn't have the energy to argue with So Hyun right now. Let him let her do as she pleased with him this time. Tae Hoon also felt strange about himself getting used to So Hyun's absurd attitude towards him.
His eyes glanced back at So Hyun and examined her carefully. After the incident she had the other day, it seemed that her condition had returned to normal. Sometimes Tae Hoon wondered how So Hyun could be that strong.
Come to think of it, he didn't know anything about So Hyun at all. He had never cared about So Hyun and had always considered her a nuisance. But after that incident, Tae Hoon became a little curious about what kind of life that woman was living.
Of course, it was just a momentary curiosity. He would probably get over it as time went on.
"You two again." The teasing voice came from Hyun Woo who was walking towards the two of them. Not only Hyun Woo, Jung Hyun and Min Joon also walked up to them.
"Tell me honestly, how long have you been dating?" Hyun Woo teased while giving a meaningless smile.
Tae Hoon was tired of hearing Hyun Woo's nonsensical ramblings. He let out a heavy sigh as he rubbed his face lightly. "Stop talking nonsense," he said a little annoyed.
"So Hyun, are you sure about your relationship?" asked Hyun Woo without caring about Tae Hoon's current expression. The four of them deliberately ignored Tae Hoon and were busy chatting with each other.
"I don't know." So Hyun paused for a moment—acting as if she was confused. She pressed her lips together like a sad person while hugging herself. "I honestly wanted to date him, but he always rejected me."
It felt like Tae Hoon had just heard some nonsense about himself. Obviously, it succeeded in upsetting him and he replied in an annoyed tone. "When was I like that?!"
"Don't you remember? I already asked you out once."
"When?! I don't remember!"
So Hyun managed to let out a rude sigh after hearing Tae Hoon's answer. She turned her face the other way, accompanied by a sad and disappointed look. "So I'm the only one who remembers that incident? You're too cold to people you've slept with."
There was no sound at all after that. Everyone was petrified when they heard So Hyun's statement just now, as if their souls were floating into the air. Both Tae Hoon, and the others, all looked shocked with both eyes almost popping out.
"Tae Hoon..." Hyun Woo first opened his voice, though still in a state of shock, he was still able to move—touching both of Tae Hoon's shoulders.
"You..." Hyun Woo took a deep breath before letting out all his emotions in one breath. "How could you have slept with a woman?! Are you crazy?! Are you really the Tae Hoon I know?! This kind and innocent Tae Hoon has slept with a woman..."
Hyun Woo was speechless. He was so shocked that he didn't know how to react. Tae Hoon, who had regained his senses, immediately shouted back at Hyun Woo.
"That's not true at all! What the hell are you talking about! It's all just nonsense!"
"Really?" asked So Hyun while giving a teasing look. Actually, So Hyun's words were not wrong. They had indeed slept together, but not 'slept' in a perverted sense. But the three friends misinterpreted So Hyun's words and made the situation more complicated.
"Why are you silent?! So it's true that you guys have slept together?!" Hyun Woo shouted once again. Meanwhile, Jung Hyun and Min Joon were still petrified on the spot.
"Th-that's right... but not sleeping like you think! We're just sleeping! Just sleeping! There's no other purpose than sleeping!" Tae Hoon had no idea what he was saying to Hyun Woo. The justification he was trying to make seemed strange and long-winded.
"So basically you guys have slept together, right?"
"Th-that..." Tae Hoon wanted to answer a firm 'no', but he couldn't lie. And it would feel weird if he confirmed Hyun Woo's question. Tae Hoon was at a loss as to what to answer.
"Have you ever slept together?"
Instantly, all attention was drawn to the woman who had just appeared in front of them. There, only Tae Hoon seemed to be so surprised that his eyes were perfectly rounded and his mouth wide open.
Seeing Ji Hye who had heard the news about him sleeping with So Hyun clearly made him panic. Because Tae Hoon didn't want to make Ji Hye misunderstand with that one sentence. But apparently, it all ended in vain.
If asked about what events he wanted to eliminate in life, then Tae Hoon would choose the incident where he had slept together with So Hyun the other day. Just because of such a trivial fact, there had been many misunderstandings that arose between the two of them. Especially for the woman Tae Hoon currently had a crush on, none other than Ji Hye.
All this time he had managed to hide that fact from Ji Hye, but who would have thought that his secret would be exposed in this way.
"Ji-Ji Hye! You misunderstood!" Tae Hoon then walked quickly over to the petrified Ji Hye.
So Hyun chose to leave because she didn't want to disturb the two of them. "I have class now. I'll go first." She turned around and quickly walked away.
Hyun Woo was sure that So Hyun's departure was not something she wanted, but was forced because she didn't want to disturb Tae Hoon and Ji Hye's togetherness.
The problem now was his own best friend who was very insensitive about women's feelings. Hyun Woo then got annoyed with himself because he was the only one who knew the truth behind their problems, while he couldn't do anything to help.
With that, he chose to turn around to Jung Hyun and Min Joon. "Guys, let's go."
Without being signaled, Jung Hyun and Min Joon already understood what Hyun Woo's invitation meant. So the three of them also walked away, leaving Tae Hoon and Ji Hye alone in the lobby.
"Ji Hye, trust me. You misunderstood."
"What?" Believe it, right now Ji Hye's entire logical mind was fighting against her raging feelings.
Behind her meaningless gaze and simple smile, there were feelings of disappointment, sadness, and annoyance all mixed together. She didn't understand why her feelings could become chaotic just because of the words spoken by Hyun Woo earlier about Tae Hoon and So Hyun having slept together.
Tae Hoon looked down languidly accompanied by a sad look. He chose to remain silent for a moment before saying softly, "I just wanted to say that you misunderstood."
Ji Hye didn't know what feeling was overwhelming her. If the answer was jealousy, then was it okay to show Tae Hoon those feelings for once? Didn't Tae Hoon really like her that's why he was trying to clear up the misunderstanding between the two of them?
She don't know, Ji Hye was confused.
"Tae Hoon..." Ji Hye paused her sentence to gather all her courage just to ask one question, "Do you like So Hyun?"
The question came unexpectedly, successfully making Tae Hoon's eyeballs bulge until they felt like they were about to pop out. Before things could get any worse, Tae Hoon answered Ji Hye's question in the affirmative.
"Of course not!"
Tae Hoon felt like shouting that the woman he liked now was Ji Hye. However, he didn't have the courage to say that—so he stayed silent and waited for Ji Hye's reaction. For a second or two, there was silence until in the third second Ji Hye suddenly laughed. Not sure what the laughter meant, but it sounded a little desperate.
Ji Hye lifted her face as soon as her laughter was over—giving Tae Hoon a smile that was very hard to interpret, then said, "That was enough."
Tae Hoon was confused. He didn't know how to react. The smile directed at him somehow made him sad. But putting that aside, he was grateful that their misunderstanding had been resolved. For now, this much was enough.
