Chapter 5 - Chapter 4:Top Five

The television screen was a canvas of chaos. Megasonic, a hulking figure with a menacing aura, clashed with Light Ray, a blinding golden blur. Their Melics, raw power manifested, collided in a spectacular display of force. Haruto's eyes were wide with awe, while Nobubaki felt a strange mix of fear and fascination.

"Wow, Dad is so cool!" Haruto exclaimed, his voice filled with admiration.

Nobubaki nodded, his gaze fixed on the screen. Something inside him stirred, a primal urge to be part of the action. He felt a strange connection to Light Ray, as if they were linked by an invisible thread.

The once evenly matched battle began to tilt in Megasonic's favor. His blows, once met with equal force, started to push Light Ray back. The golden light that surrounded Light Ray seemed to dim, replaced by a sense of vulnerability.

Haruto's face paled as he watched his father struggle. "His booms are getting stronger!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with worry. Nobubaki's heart pounded in his chest. The hero, the invincible Light Ray, was in trouble. A cold dread washed over him as he realized the gravity of the situation.

Mega Sonic released another boom, the explosion covering the camera with a thick cloud of dust. The screen went almost entirely gray, and Haruto and Nobubaki's faces reflected their rising panic.

Saburota began pacing back and forth, clenching his teeth. His usually calm demeanor was replaced by an anxious energy that filled the room. Only the headline "Tech City Under Attack" and the reporter's voice were audible over the chaos.

"The battle between Light Ray and Mega Sonic rages on, with no clear victor in sight," the reporter's voice crackled through the speakers. "Citizens are urged to stay indoors and await further instructions."

Haruto's hands trembled as he clutched the edge of the couch. "Why isn't the camera showing Dad? Why can't we see him?"

Nobubaki's eyes were glued to the screen, searching for any sign of Light Ray through the haze. The connection he felt earlier pulsed more strongly now, almost like a beacon calling out to him. He could feel Light Ray's struggle, his determination to keep fighting despite the odds.

Saburota stopped pacing and turned to his sons, his face grim. "We have to trust in your father's strength. He's faced worse before and always come out on top."

But even as he said it, doubt lingered in his eyes. The dust on the screen began to settle, revealing the battered form of Light Ray, his golden light now a faint shimmer. He was on one knee, struggling to rise, while Mega Sonic loomed over him, preparing for another devastating attack.

Nobubaki felt a surge of determination. He couldn't just sit and watch anymore. There had to be something he could do. He glanced at Haruto, who was on the verge of tears, and then at Saburota, who looked more helpless than ever.

Suddenly, the connection Nobubaki felt with Light Ray flared, almost blinding in its intensity. He didn't understand it, but he knew he had to act on it. Taking a deep breath, he stepped forward, placing a hand on the television screen as if reaching out to his father.

"Dad ," he whispered, "we're here with you. Don't give up."

Suddenly, the dust began to clear, and the city became more visible bathed in the bright sunlight. Light Ray stood tall, flanked by a team of formidable heroes who had come to his aid.

**Atomion** emerged first. His square jawline and intense eyes gave him an air of unyielding determination. The furrowed brow and chiseled nose added to his imposing presence, while his firm lips and olive-toned complexion exuded confidence. His short dark hair was neatly styled, complementing his sleek, form-fitting bodysuit in deep shades of blue and silver. The intricate patterns on his suit resembled atoms and molecular structures, symbolizing his control over atomic energy. As he spread his arms, wings made of pure energy materialized, lifting him into the air.

Beside him, the **G-Brothers** stood side by side . They both had strong, angular jawlines and piercing eyes that shone with determination. Their straight noses and confident appearances made them look like twins, though their abilities set them apart. They wore sleek, dark green bodysuits with vibrant gold highlights, the emblems on their chests clearly visible. One had a stylized "G" representing gravity manipulation, while the other had magnetic lines symbolizing his control over objects. Holding hands, their combined powers created a formidable force field around them.

Hovering above the ground on a cloud was **Forecaster**. She had a heart-shaped face with high cheekbones, a slender nose, and piercing blue eyes that seemed to see through time itself. Her fair complexion was framed by auburn hair intricately braided and adorned with crystal beads. Her form-fitting deep purple bodysuit with gold trimmings shimmered in the light, while her sheer cape-like sleeves, embroidered with delicate patterns, billowed gently in the breeze. She waved her hand, and storm clouds began to gather, ready to unleash their fury.

**Bolt** was a blur of motion, his rugged, angular face and square jawline barely discernible as he zipped around the battlefield. His piercing brown eyes, straight nose, and short, neatly trimmed beard gave him a look of fierce determination. He wore a sleek, dark yellow bodysuit with vibrant electric black stripes, a metallic chest plate with a lightning bolt emblem, fingerless gloves, and boots with metallic plating and specialized treads. His every step crackled with electricity, and his movements left trails of light in his wake.

Haruto's eyes sparkled with excitement as he exclaimed, "The top five heroes are here! We're saved!"

But Saburota's expression darkened, and he let out a hiss. "If I don't do something, that's it." He began to rush out of the room, his face set with determination.

"Stay here, boys," he commanded. "I'll be back."

Haruto and Nobubaki exchanged worried glances. "Sir, where are you going?" Haruto called after him.

Saburota paused at the doorway, his back to them. "To help your father."

As he disappeared from sight, the boys turned back to the screen, their hearts pounding. Light Ray and his allies were now locked in an epic confrontation with Mega Sonic, their combined Melics shining brightly against the clear blue sky. The battle had taken on a new intensity, and with the top five heroes now assembled, the tide seemed poised to turn.

The screen went dark, abruptly cutting off the live broadcast. A static filled the room, then silence. Haruto and Nobubaki stared at the blank television, their minds racing.

"What happened?" Haruto asked, his voice trembling slightly.

Nobubaki shook his head, unable to answer. He felt a surge of frustration. They were so close to knowing the outcome of the battle, and now it was cut off.

"We have to see what's happening!" Haruto exclaimed, his eyes wide with determination. "Let's go to Tech City!"

Nobubaki hesitated. He remembered Saburota's warning, but the urge to be closer to the action was overwhelming. He nodded, his resolve hardening.

They quickly grabbed their jackets and slipped out of the house, the front door closing softly behind them. The bright sunlight illuminated the city, casting long shadows. As they walked, Nobubaki couldn't shake the feeling that they were making a mistake. But the desire to be part of something bigger, to witness history in the making, pulled him forward.

Haruto, on the other hand, was filled with excitement. This was an adventure, a chance to see his hero up close. He skipped along the sidewalk, his laughter echoing in the still morning air.

As they got closer to Tech City, the atmosphere changed. The once bustling streets were now eerily quiet, broken only by the distant rumble of explosions. People were huddled together in groups, their faces etched with worry. Emergency vehicles raced through the streets, their sirens a constant reminder of the chaos unfolding in the city.

Nobubaki's heart pounded in his chest. This was no longer a game or an adventure. It was real, and it was terrifying.

They reached the outskirts of Tech City, the towering buildings casting long shadows over the ground. In the distance, they could see plumes of smoke rising from the city center. It was clear that the battle was still raging.

Nobubaki's excitement turned into fear. He grabbed Haruto's hand, his grip tight. "We should go back," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

Haruto looked at his brother, his heart aching. He wanted to protect him, to keep him safe. But he also knew that they couldn't turn back now. They had come too far.

Taking a deep breath, he squeezed Nobubaki's hand. "We'll be okay," he said, trying to sound reassuring. "We'll find a safe place to watch."

Suddenly, they heard a voice booming through the streets. "Citizens, please evacuate the area immediately! The battle has escalated, and the safety of civilians can no longer be guaranteed."

The G-brothers appeared on massive holographic screens, their faces grim. "We apologize for the interruption, but the situation has become too dangerous for live broadcasting," one of them said. "Your safety is our priority."

Haruto and Nobubaki exchanged a worried glance. They knew they had to leave, but the urge to see the battle firsthand was still strong.
