Hearing her groans of agony, Chase quickly let her go.
"Hazel…"
He wanted to say that he was sorry, but those words just couldn't be uttered.
Hazel gave him a cold look. "It's past two o'clock in the morning. What the hell are you doing?"
Chase had a thick white bandage on his head, and half of his face was swollen.
Besides that, he was also clad in a hospital gown. He indeed looked a little creepy.
"I've just come to see you!"
"You must be crazy! If you don't leave soon. I'll call the police."
"Then go ahead and call the police!"
Hazel was furious. She swallowed and frowned, asking, "What the hell do you want?"
Chase's thin lips quivered as he looked at Hazel with a gentle yet complicated expression. "I don't want anything. All I wanted was to see you!"
Looking at the gentle expression in his eyes, Hazel started having goosebumps for no reason.
