Chapter 27 - He is Coming

While walking alongside Azuron, Auren murmurs in a nervous tone, "His soul has returned; If it fully realizes its potential and recalls our memories from its previous incarnation, then we are doomed. I believe so; we must kill both of those children, as he is the very soul of one of them."

Azuron responds with a chuckle, "Heh, it doesn't matter if he returns. He perished during our final encounters, not us, despite the fact that he brought us perilously close to demise. However, in the end, I will manage them after they have come to their own realization... The most intense battle will begin again."

Auren sighs and remarks, "You are undeniably unique. Should we permit them to acquire power, those children will completely derail our schemes." Auren pauses before proceeding with his question, "For what reason are you not afraid?"

Azuron asserts with assurance, "It is inconsequential... I care nothing but about having pleasure. Confronting him once more after several centuries will be refreshing, and I intend to play fairly. It doesn't matter if I lose; a loss is acceptable. A victory, then, would be victory."

Auren exhales deeply before responding, "Yea, Nevermind, You are truly different then me."

"Your lack of self-confidence is the reason I am different from you," Azuron informs Auren.

Auren responds immediately, "Yes, but he abandoned us on the brink of death; as a result, we nearly lost our immortality. Why then do you believe he will be unable to repeat the act once he realizes his power?"

As Azuron begins to chuckle, he affirms, "You are entirely correct; He is capable of doing it again. Who cares? It would not bother me if we lost. If one's vanity is troubled by loss, then that should be your concern rather than mine."

Auren maintains his silence while listening Azuron.

"So, Have you made yourself humble, now?" Auren is questioned by Azuron.

Auren replies, "The irony here is crazy. Your telling me to humble myself when... Nevermind, I guess, I am yapping."

"Good to hear that you humbled yourself in the middle of a sentence; you have my praise for that," Azuron murmurs with a smirk.

Auren responds with a rolled eye, "Thanks. I guess."

After a few moments of observing Auren, Azuron inquires, "What's wrong with that attitude of yours? We will prevail. Do not make me laugh if you are still considering, 'What if we lose?"

Auren responds, "What if we lose by those kids. It would be humiliating to lose from kids."

Azuron grins and replies, "Nah, We won't. Even if we lose, it will not be embarrassing in the worst-case scenario; after all, those two children are as old as we are—that is, their souls are."

Frustrated, Auren replies, "Tsk, Bullshit. Regardless, I am bringing you back if you have lost. I will continue to deliver from death so long as we accomplish our objectives. Although you are immortal, I will continue to resurrect you from death, Even if those children gain a few awakenings in the midst of battle. This contradicts what I just said, but they are unique souls graced with special abilities that nullify immortality; I cannot afford to lose you."

With a smirk, Azuron says, "Now, Now, Now, Drama Queen, calm down. There is no requirement to regard this matter seriously. Who said I was going to die?

After a brief period of silence, Auren declares, "I am neither the queen nor the king. I only mentioned the worst-case scenario; I said nothing else."

Azuron begins to laugh as he declares, "Hahahaha! You are quite amusing. Let us presume that the worst-case scenario will come to pass. Ultimately, it will not matter; in fact, there are an infinite number of versions of ourselves in this multiverse; millions, if not billions, of us may emerge victorious; thus, the inverse will also occur; this is, in fact, one of the infinite outcomes. Truly, victory? Loss? It is irrelevant to me; ultimately, I am the loser as well as the victor."

Auren remains mute while Azuron is spoken to him.

Auren brazenly asserts, "That is all that matters to you. But in my opinion, it is all Vanity; I am the one I am and have no interest in the multiverse, parallel universes, infinite outcomes, or infinite versions. I am who I am at the moment. No version is capable of substituting for me."

Azuron chuckles in amusement at Auren's utterances.

"You are truly hopeless; I detect a strong sense of ego in your words," Azuron replies. "While you may believe that the world revolves around you, that is solely untrue."

As soon as Auren hears Azuron, he opens his eyes wide and unleashes a kick at him with the intention of knocking him unconscious.

Azuron leaps over the strike, looks at Auren with a solemn countenance, and lands with grace on the ground.

In rage, Auren clenches his teeth as he observes Azuron.

In response, Azuron taunts Auren, "Oh my, What a comical betrayal! It seems that I've touched a chord. Such a formidable ego shall be supine. Auren, your hubris will lead to your demise. therefore, In order for our objectives to materialize, kindly relinquish your ego."

Auren asserts, "You... Do not lecture me on my worldview; I am, in fact, superior to everyone. Nothing else can exceed us!"

As he listens to Auren, Azuron observes the situation with a dismal expression on his face. He narrows his eyes in anguish.

"...This betrayal... strikes just as hard as his demise. Currently, the sole companion I had, betrayed me through an assault. Although I cannot say with certainty whether or not it constitutes betrayal, it certainly appears to be so." Azuron reflects within his interior monologue.

As he continues his inner monologue, Azuron grins and says, "I am disappointed that Auren has betrayed me. However, I am certain that my future actions are ironic at this very moment."

As he peers at Auren, Azuron declares, "You understand, I intend to fight you. I intended to put your ego to rest, but I suppose I was unsuccessful. You are free to do as you please, Auren."

Auren's countenance darkens from wrath to solemn. He declares, "I apologize. I got carried away, I ought not to have opposed you."

Azuron smiles, indicating, "It's fine, As long as you realize your mistake and take fully responsibility of your action, I have no rights to punish."

During his speech, Azuron is overcome with a vision of a lifeless individual whose blood is splattered about. Caused to collapse to his knees, he is struck by this abrupt vision.

"Are you okay, Azuron?" Auren ran promptly towards him, seized him by the shoulder, and inquired with a concerned expression.

Azuron responds with a straightforward "Y-Yea, I am fine."

Auren advises, "Come on, you require rest."

Azuron responds promptly, "I do not need rest; in all honesty, I am in good health, both physically and mentally."

Auren replies, "Indeed, if you so specify."

Azuron rises slowly to his feet while gazing up at the sky.

"Within a year, it will descend to this plane of existence, the lowest of which is the physical," declares Azuron. "He then makes the decision to descend from the highest to the lowest level of existence. Such a disgrace."

Auren inquires, "Who is descending on this plane?" Azuron replies with a solemn countenance, "One of the Fusion, The Loser, Commonly Referred to as 'Failed Fusion' However, among all fusions, He is the most lethal. The one that possesses only one-half, the one that is believed to be a rare-worshipped deity. He will descend in the level from its highest point to its lowest."

After remaining mute, Auren inquires, "May I inquire? What is his precise motivation for descending?"

"In order to appease his devotees for their trust in him and vanquish his adversaries in this domain, his followers refer to him as 'The Half-One' Deity." However, one of the most formidable deities that mankind has ever encountered." Azuron responds.

The question "Is he a god?" is posed by Auren. In response, Azuron states, "He is not. Although He is not God, His powers indicate otherwise."

Auren inquires, "Have you had the opportunity to meet this being in person?"

"Many of the supernatural, transcendent, deities, gods, and other beings I have encountered have been my friends," Azuron replies. "However, it is certain that He has transcended the majority of the beings I am acquainted with."

Azuron further states, "In response to your inquiry, the answer is indeed affirmative. He and I have indeed interacted in person. At that time, however, he belonged to the lower class. I may therefore consider him to be the weakest being I have ever met, but I have yet to witness the manifestation of his devotees' worship and anticipation of his arrival on this plane."

"Who are his Enemies that he is coming to decimate?"

Azuron answer, "Yea, About that, Honestly, I don't know. I don't know who he is going to target as his enemies."
