"Well then," Evan said, extending his hand for a handshake. "Welcome to Royal Blue, Miss Doll."
Eternity took his hand and shook it. She was a little agitated because she wasn't accustomed to his professionalism.
But she knew this was all theatrics.
Once they were done, Evan then glanced at the other new recruits, who were eyeing them with wide eyes.
He wasn't sure if it was because they were surprised that he was a lot friendlier than they thought (he wasn't), or they were just awestruck to see two conventionally attractive people (he proudly consider him as such) interacting.
"And to all of you," Evan nodded at them in acknowledgment. "As the CEO of this company, I welcome you all."
The new hires responded with uncoordinated "thank you's." Still, it was evident in their tone that they were all appreciative of the CEO's simple gesture.
Evan shifted his gaze to Jakob, only to scowl again the moment he saw Jakob's expression.
