After walking for sometime, they began to hear loud growls from faraway. The growl didn't sound like it was coming from a single beast, but from numerous beasts.
"Maxmillan, get ready. Maybe a pack of similar beasts have perceived the inconspicuous smell exuding from our bodies and have chosen to head in our direction. But what you should understand is that, anytime a beast growl rings out from a particular place, then that place has items or coveted objects that it is heavily protecting." Lorrena quickly explained, while Maxmillan who calmly listened to her, nodded his head with an understanding look appearing on his determined face.
"Thank you for the tip, my cavern-treasures-seeking guide." Maxmillan said and grinned. While Lorrena produced a flattered smile that was however concealed by the mask she wore.
