Announcement!
I'M BACKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I wanted to write chapters but I got too lazy :p. Not gonna make excuses, I was just too lazy.
So I wanna change some stuff, not about the story, but how I write. I'm not gonna be following the exact canon anymore. Ik the story hasn't gone canon, but in terms of what's happening in the islands, it kinda is. The research is what made me lazy, I didn't wanna write and research everything or reread. Furthermore, the calculation of points is just annoying, so I won't tell you guys the exact amounts of what the mc got, but I'm still gonna tell you guys what skills he got.

Unknown Island
Helmeppo POV
"Y-You dodged it?!"
I yelled as I saw Coby dodged my strike with a blindfold on. It's only been a week since we started training Observation Haki in secret, but Coby has already surpassed me.
Although we started training under Kur at the same time, our progress wasn't the same. Physically, I improved faster, but in terms of skills and progress in Haki, Coby would always be better.
I gritted my teeth and looked at a shadowy figure sitting down while eating an apple. He was Kur, my sword and teacher. Like Garp, he believed that we aren't strong enough to train Armament Haki. However, unlike Garp, he taught us the basics of Observation, and some minor physical improvement training.
Kur smiled at me, and with a hoarse voice he questioned, "What is it?"
"Can we still not train Armament?" I asked
Kur threw away his apple and stood up, "No. I have already taught you one type of Haki, so what's the rush? Are you scared that Coby here might leave you in the dust?"
I clenched my fist and was about to answer, until Coby looked at me and questioned me, "What's wrong Helmeppo?"
"Oh, it's nothing. Let's get back to training."
However, as soon as I said that, three people showed up out of nowhere and one of them asked me a question, "What are you guys doing here? We haven't seen you guys in training for a while now."
The guy that spoke was none other than Prince Grus, a member of SWORD just like us. Grus is a muscular young man with fluffy, green shaggy hair and purple eyes. He wears a brown fur coat over an open red shirt that reveals his torso. This red shirt consists of two vertical white lines on the left side and a golden chain around the collar. Grus sports red pants that are held together by a black belt with a golden buckle, and black laced shoes. His most noticeable trait is a Marine cap with an oversized bill, which is the color red on the inside. He also wears rings on each of the four fingers on his right hand. (lmao I said fuck it and copy and pasted)
"W-We were just training that's all!" Stuttered Coby
"Y-yeah!" I added
"Training? You two? I guess being the weakest does mean you have to train more." Mocked Kujaku.
Kujaku is another member of SWORD, I also heard that she was the granddaughter of Vice Admiral Tsuru.
"Since you guys have been training, doesn't that mean you've gotten stronger? How about we have a spar, 2 on 2. You and Coby Vs me and Grus."
Me and Coby looked at each other, ready to refuse, until I heard a familiar hoarse voice, "Accept it."
Without thinking, I quickly accepted, "We accept!"
I covered my mouth when I realized what I'd done. Coby looked at me with utter shock as he knew we had no chance in beating the two.
Grus and Kujaku were arguably the second and third strongest out of all members of SWORD, only behind Drake. Grus was far physically stronger and had more experience than the two of us, and Kujaku had exceptional swordsmanship. Although we haven't fought them in a while, I hardly believe that we can beat them, as they have been training too.
"Alright, I'll be the judge." Declared Hibari, another SWORD member.
I pulled out the two Kuri swords and readied them for battle. Kujaku smiled and as soon as Hibari announced the start of the battle, she quickly drew her sword out of the scabbard and swung it with precise and calculated control. Her aim wasn't to harm, but to disarm me.
Startled, I stepped back and tried to block her strike, but her swing was too strong, making me unable to fully block her sword. As her swing concluded, she swiftly exploited my unsteady balance, spinning around in a full 360-degree turn to deliver another strike.
Using her full body weight, she managed to swing hard enough to make me release one of my swords. With only one Kuri left, I rushed towards her and tried to strike back. However, she stepped back and countered using the back of her sword. As the sword neared my neck, everything turned blue and everything slowed down.
I dodged her attack and everything went back to normal. However, seeing her attack get dodged, she quickly questioned with a shocked face,
"What? How did you dodge that?"
