[JIMINIE]
Agust abandoning him once again in the rain was all the confirmation Jiminie needed to know that he was more to what everyone was seeing.
Someone was posing a greater threat to his people and the fact that the king had insisted on staying away, meant that whoever that was, was an enemy who needed Jiminie to get to Agust.
Jiminie had long tried to make himself believe that he was never important to Agust which was why it was easy for the mad king to leave him. but then as the rain hit him hard, Jiminie was certain that that was never true.
His mate loved him too much to the point that he had left. Agust had never once abandoned him and boy did that make Jiminie feel a different kind of relief. Hell, he felt like his Lycan had grown to a point with Agust's return.
Or maybe he had fully developed because that was what Agust wanted, to make sure that Jiminie was safe. It was heartwarming in a sick twisted way, but heartwarming nonetheless and Jasmine loved that for them.
"Jiminie…" Luna Park Jieun said to her son who had finally opened the door to the rooftop that they had been grinding relentlessly. They had lost count of the number of times they had been on her and frankly, it worried the hell out of them.
They had been patient with Jiminie and were still willing to be, besides it wasn't like there was anything they could do with Jiminie to make him give a fuck about everything.
Or maybe it was different now that he was sure that it was never about the both of them not loving each other but because of someone else, someone Jiminie was going to figure out eventually.
"Mama," Jiminie sighed with relief as he hugged his mother for the first time in the longest time ever seeing as he and his mother were never that close to be hugging each other like hell had finally been averted.
It was something that not only shocked the Luna but also Lee Tang and the warriors who had come to help Luna out in case there was a battle on the other side. It never made sense to them but they were warriors sworn to fight every battle the alpha Park Jimin had for them.
"Mimi?" Luna Park said as she pulled back from the hug to take a better look at her son, almost like she wanted to be sure her dear son wasn't possessed.
Well, she wasn't the only one who had something to confirm because the look that Lee Tang was giving Jiminie screamed a lot of questions. Would Jiminie answer then right now though?
"You look pretty today," Jiminie said and that was something that the Luna had once again not expected. Her son had always heard him for the way she had been bent and an enabler for his father's abuse towards him.
He had despised her with all of him and he was swell within his rights to want to fuck her up one too many times. Frankly, if she was his mother, he would have probably killed her himself.
But Jiminie was not ready to be orphaned just yet, at least not completely, if his father was to be counted. Well, his father was a victim of his mat who was protecting him, so that wouldn't even matter as much right?
"Are you okay, Jiminie?" Lee Tang asked as she looked at his soaked best friend. There was something wrong with Jiminie and he could see that, but he couldn't quite understand what it was.
He had expected his best friend to be defeated and wearing a defeated look, but the man in front of them was someone else.
If they were keen enough, they would be able to see the Jiminie they had always known, the happiest and prettiest boy in the pack away from all the responsibilities that were on his shoulders.
"Never been better. Besides, it's good to want to eat lamb chops. It's been a while since I had those. I'll make them tonight, for everyone in the pack," Jiminie said excitedly as she walked past the unexpecting team.
They had been so sure the alpha was angry and depressed and all that shit but the man who was walking ahead of them into the Kyoto kitchens was different. And for the first time, they were completely worried about Thor Alpha, Park Jimin.
"What the fuck happened on that roof?" Lee Tang asked as he looked at the storm that was still as harsh.
He wanted to understand his best friend but there was more to this than they could see and that made him wonder if there was anything he needed to do for his best friend. He loved Jiminie like a brother and perhaps more than that.
But he wasn't about to shoot his shot, knowing so well how madly Jiminie was in love with the craziest creature in the entire realm. He didn't want his body parts sprawled out for everyone to see and it wasn't exactly what he had imagined for himself either.
So, this was just going to pass too, right?
"Go after him, He will listen to you better than any of us," a worried Luna Park said and Lee Tang just bowed before he went after his best friend. He wasn't sure what the fuck had happened, but he would know eventually, right?
Going after Jiminie wasn't hard because Lee Tang followed the water droplets to the Kiyoto kitchen just like Jiminie had told him he would. The change of attitude for Jiminie was so unexpected that everyone was staring at him curiously.
The Kiyoto pack members had been used to Jiminie being dull and lost in his thoughts, so seeing him go and be excited was not a part of any of the palms.
They had tried to sniff him, but there was no scent on him that could say that he met with anyone not his Erasthai's scent, which was even more confusing.
"Start the fires, and bring the entire batch of lamb chops from the freezers. This is going to be a great night for everyone!" Jiminie said and the chefs looked at him and then at Lee Tang who stared at them with eyes that told them he was as confused as them.
There was no way to tell whether Jiminie was serious about this or not, so the kitchen staff did as their alpha commanded even though they were still skeptical about it.
"Are you sure he's alright? He looks like he is in a manic-depressive state," one of the warriors said to Lee Tang.
He couldn't even say anything else because Jiminie turned to smile at the warrior, as if life was as simple as everything that they needed to do to get him the kitchen ready. Perhaps there were always going to be days when they questioned the hell out of every high Jiminie did.
"I am not in my depressive state, Jae Jun-ah," Jiminie said earnestly and none of them believed him. But he already expected that, not as much as they hadn't expected his next words.
"That is also why So Hee is already back here," Jiminie added before he left to take a shower.
