"Ming Xiao Zhu," King Agust said.
"What?"
"My name is Ming Xiao Zhu, but everyone calls me Agust," he added as he looked into the alpha's eyes as if he were trying to see whatever emotion was in there. This King was something else, and that much the Alpha was starting to see.
"Fine. I, Park Jimin, of the Kiyoto pack, reject you, Ming Xiao Zhu, of the Lycans—" Alpha Park said and this time, the King just let out a laugh. Like a full-on laugh as he looked at the man talking about rejection.
"You don't seriously believe that do you? You can't be that gullible, right?" King Agust asked in a fit of laughs, as Alpha Park stared at the man.
He was finally convinced the king was insane. How the hell would someone change emotions that fast? It wasn't like there was anything funny about the situation. Then again, he didn't know if the King's sanity would make any difference.
"And why should I bother learning your name? It's not like I will be mated to you anyway. I will reject you every single day until the only thing you can remember about me is the rejection,'' Alpha Park said adamantly while the King just continued laughing.
His laughter echoed through the palace hallways, as the echoes bounced back and suddenly it was like they were in a haunted house, only that this time, the King's laugh was the only haunting truth.
"There's a lot I remember about you by, Jiminie. Your addictive lavender scent, the way your face scrunches in angry pleasure, the way you moan while I fuck you senseless, the way you smile when you think no one is watching.
"I can't forget the way your body fit so perfectly in my arms while I cuddled you last night in your sleep, the way you moaned my name, how your lips felt against mine, however rough the kiss was.
"I definitely won't forget how you taste, and how I taste on your lips. You can try making me forget you, but I have a long list of things to remember you by, my beautiful," King Agust said softly as he gently closed the distance between him and his mate.
Their faces were so close, their noses were hitting each other's and their breaths were on each other's faces. Just a little tilt and their lips would be fighting for dominance again.
"Even then, I will always despise you, Agust," Alpha Park said spitefully.
The King just chuckled, again.
"I know, baby, I know. How about I give you an extra reason to hate me, hmm?" King Agust asked, and before the Alpha could respond, he slammed their lips together, as he pushed his mate's back gently to the door, while his hands were on his mate's neck, and his tiny waist.
At first, the kiss was stiff, with his majesty kissing still lips, however, when he grabbed the Alpha's crotch, gently stroking him, while the hand on Alpha Park's neck, rubbed the spot he would mark, Alpha let out an involuntary gasp, granting the King access to his mouth, that he was bound to explore regardless.
'Fuck me, he kisses so good,' Alpha Park thought to himself before he figured he couldn't fight against the pleasure. And so, in that moment, the defiant Alpha figured he didn't have anything left to lose, and kissed him back, something that not only shocked the King but made him happy.
Maybe this was progress?
Or was he overthinking the light gestures?
"Go take a shower, Jiminie. I'll wait for you at breakfast," King Agust said to his mate once they pulled back for the kiss. He could see the alpha's swollen lips and frankly, he was proud that he had done that.
He loved that he had managed to touch his Erasthai this morning, and that was more than enough to get him in a good mood, even though he had wanted to strangle the life out of the Alpha barely minutes ago.
Perhaps Alpha Park was right.
The King was bipolar.
With one last peck on Alpha Park's lips, King Agust gently pushed his mate off the door, before doing something the flustered Alpha hadn't expected. He broke the door off its hinges, and burnt it, right there and then.
Leaving the room doorless, something that made Alpha Park excited… until he realized that he didn't have a way to keep the man away anymore.
"I already laid out a set of clothes for you. Take your time, Jiminie. I have waited years for you, what is an hour more?" the King said before he walked back to where he had been, leaving behind a confused Alpha who wasn't sure if he wanted to kill the King or he wanted to kiss him a little longer.
"What the fuck just happened?" Alpha Park asked himself once he was sure the king was gone.
He had been kidnapped by this man, even though he was the strongest Alpha in the realm. The mad King had captured his warriors, and murdered them all in front of him, leaving just him alive.
He had been molested by the man, yet he loved every bit of it, a concept that got him wondering whether it was consent he had given, or his body had given it. He would think about it later.
Sitting back on the bed, Alpha Park thought back to how peaceful his day had been until a group of wolves had been attacked by Lycans and he had gone to see for himself what the Lycans had wanted.
More than anyone, Alpha Park knew the Lycans hated werewolves and were under orders to make them suffer.
Then again, the barbaric King had never publicly declared that the Lycans could kill wolves. It was just war after war, with the deaths coming from the hands of the King himself.
This time had been different, however, given the Lycans were long gone when he got there and his people were suddenly choking on poisonous gas, something that should have affected him but didn't.
Of course, he didn't know why it hadn't yesterday, but right now, he knew it was engineered perfectly to take out everyone and anyone Alpha had come with. This time, the Alpha had been the target and that was disturbing.
For the next hour, Alpha Park contemplated the safety of his people, worrying for them and thinking of the different things he could suggest to the King who was interested in him.
He knew the King was vile and would always be ten steps ahead of him, but then Alpha Park had a pack to protect and people to keep not only safe but sane. It was a hard task, but then what else could he do other than hope to the goddess that it would all be fine?
"Dammit," Alpha Park sighed when he realized he had been distracted for a long.
He hasn't showered so he crushed in the strangely warm showers for a place so empty and lonely. He made sure to look presentable after the shower and even put on the clothes the deadly King had selected for him.
Perhaps this would buy him favor with the devil himself.
It was a long shot and even he knew it. But for his people, he was more than willing to do whatever it took. He even changed the sheets on the bed he had slept in, an act that once again, was in the hope for better days and relief for his people. But would it all work?
"Agust?" Alpha Park called out when he reached the hallways.
They were endless and he could easily find himself in the wrong room. The whole place looked like a torture chamber and when he tried to check one of the balconies, he realized he was way too far from the ground.
It was like there were several floors in this doomed castle. There wasn't proof of life here, and even with his werewolf hearing, Alpha Park couldn't hear any heartbeat. Not even the deadly Lycan King's heartbeats.
"Agust, are you there?" Alpha Park called again, worried about what this would mean.
He was late for breakfast, but then the man had promised to wait for him, no matter how long it took. The fact that his voice was echoing in the empty castle terrified him, and for a moment, he was worried the King had abandoned him here with no way out.
Well, he couldn't put it past the man, given that he had kneed him, called him names, said he hated him, and even wished him dead and a rejection. He had done a lot, yet hoped that the man was somewhere around, waiting for him.
After a few more tries, Alpha Park was met with absolute chaos, with his voice echoing over and over. It was scary, even for a man so powerful like him.
And in that moment, he felt like a trapped princess in a huge castle.
"What do I do? Perhaps I should go back?" Alpha Park asked himself as he looked around. Every step he made forward, got him further from his room, and each time he turned back, he was met with emptiness.
Perhaps he was trapped in an illusion. However, he could sense that someone was watching him, enjoying his misery as he struggled to find a way to the impossible man. With all his options exhausted, Alpha Park decided to try out something.
He wasn't sure it would work but then what was he to lose, other than his life and will, that he had already lost the moment he stumbled upon the cursed mate he was given anyway?
"Ming Xiao Zhu?" he called, but there was no response, however, he noticed there weren't any echoes this time. So, he tried one last time.
"Xiao Xiao… could you please come for me?" Alpha Park called out.
"My beautiful Jiminie."
