After returning all the books to library, Adrien walked out and saw Angus and Anthony.
"Do you guys love reading too?"
Adrien walked towards them and asked.
"We are here to keep you safe Mr. Higgins."
"What? Have you guys been following me all the morning? Were you around me all the time?"
"Yes, Mr. Higgins."
"Did you have lunch? You must be hungry. Let's go have lunch!"
"Mr. Higgins, Jaxton made cuisine for you at home."
"Oh, right. I have a chef now."
"Let me drive you home, Mr. Higgins. Anthony will take a cab!"
"Alright."
Adrien still needed some time to adapt his new life with a housekeeping team, but it was understandable. He had lived alone without a single servant for the last 22 years. Suddenly, he was surrounded by all these people. Adrien certainly needed time to take all this!
When he got in the car, Adrien closed his eyes to predict the stock market on Wednesday and recommended one stock to his friends in the chat group. He didn't tell them all the stocks he favored. Adrien's three friends would earn a fortune even if one of the stocks he recommended hardened.
Adrien's friends saw message and immediately put all their money into the stock Adrien recommended.
[Thank you for introducing your friend to me, Adrien. She bought a commercial car and a sedan car without hesitation! I'll give your cut once I get my commission next month, man!]
Gilberto wrote excitedly in the group.
[That's okay, you keep it! I'll let you know if anyone else wants to buy a car.]
Adrien chatted with his friends for a while, and suddenly, something struck him.
"System, I have a question. Will it help increase my EXP in the system if I have a girlfriend and spend money for her?"
[Ding! Yes, your girlfriend will be an integral part of your life.]
"I see. How about my housekeeping team? Will my EXP increase if I give my staff money and ask them to buy necessities for me?"
[Ding! Certainly.]
Adrien smiled as he found a loophole!
When he returned home the cuisine was ready.
"Hello, Mr. Higgins." Sylvia greeted Adrien while sorted out the things to be purchased with other staff and wrote them down the list.
"Your lunch is ready Mr. Higgins. Anthony told me about your taste. So I prepared these for you." The chef brought a plate of cheese lobster as he spoke.
"Thank you, you have cooked so much. Please join me as well!"
"We are servants, Mr. Higgins. It's not our place to…" Adrien interrupted before Sylvia could finish speaking.
"I'm telling you to sit and eat! I can't eat them all. It would be a waste if you threw the leftovers away later. Plus, you have been working all morning. It's time to relax. How much did the cars and these things cost, Sylvia?"
"We spent 452,000 dollars today for two cars, car-related things like car license plates and insurance, two parking spots, and daily necessities, Mr. Higgins."
"Come on, sit here. Let's have lunch together and have a chat for a while."
Adrien had to force them in to seats and eat with him. During lunch, Adrien proposed to buy car for everyone, so they could go wherever they wanted more quickly. He felt sorry to his bodyguards. Adrien didn't want everyone around him to feel neglected!
People were touched but Sylvia refused instantly.
"We don't need cars, Mr. Higgins, we already have two, which is more than enough for us. Please don't squander money on cars. We ought to reduce costs, Mr. Higgins."
"It's okay, Oh, Sylvia. I plan to set up an investment company. Which city do you think best Reburg, Trified, or Sunrise city?"
"It depends on your business scope and investment amount Mr. Higgins."
"I see, I'm not sure how much money I'll pool, but I'll start with securities business."
"Reburg will be good enough if it's a small security company with a shoestring. However, if it's a big one, like an angel investment that makes money by investing in new projects, Sunrise city or Trified will be a better choice. There are more investment opportunities in those two cities then Reburg!"
"Right Reburg is a small city."
"May I ask what you do for a living, Mr. Higgins?"
"Me? I'm unemployed right now, except I'm a sleeping partner of a company. We bought many replacement buildings and waiting for the government for demolishing them."
"Replacement buildings?"
"Yes. I have joint property ownership certificate for those replacement buildings on my nightstand."
"Joint property ownership certificate?" Sylvia was astonished. She knew what that meant!
Not anyone could get a joint property ownership certificate. One must own at least a hundred houses to get that!
"Mr. Higgins, may I ask how many houses you have purchased?"
"Only 6,000 houses, what's wrong?"
"Oh, my!"
"Wow!"
Everyone was greatly impressed by how wealthy Adrien was! He was vastly rich!
"You made excellent choice by buying those houses!" Angus gave a thumb's up to Adrien!
"Oh, I just received a message, Mr. Higgins. There will be a big auction in the Crown Emperor Hotel of Reburg on the 10th of next month. Will you go and have a look?"
"Auction? What will be auctioned?"
"Well, there will be antiques, Jewelry, and stock shares of small companies. I'll ask them to send you an invitation letter if you want to check it out."
"Does it cost money to get invited?"
"Yes, Mr. Higgins, everyone needs an invitation letter to get in to the auction. A basic invitation letter cost 150,000 dollars, but I can be chased out and used in the Auction."
"Basic invitation letter?"
"Yes, people with basic invitation letter will sit behind the third row, and you can buy unlimited invitation letters. However, one can only buy three invitations if they want VIP seats in the first three rows, and the cost of each row will be different."
"I didn't expect it to be so complicated. How much does it cost to sit in VIP seats?"
"It cost 1 million dollars to sit in third row, 1.1 million dollars are for second row, and 2.4 million dollars for the first row. Each row has twelve seats. It's quite expensive even for the rich people in Reburg."
