"Wahh!! Mommy, please don't hit me anymore!" Misael cried miserably as the woman gave him a series of slaps on his buttocks.
"How could you?! Do you know how big of a problem you have caused? This car is so expensive. Why can't you be more responsible!" The woman's screams scared Misael into silence and tears.
"I'm really sorry, sir. How should we compensate you? It's my fault. I was negligent with my child. I'm really sorry!" the woman apologized while also being frightened.
Adrien felt helpless. Everyone who lived there was poor. How could he force a poor person to sell their house to pay for his car's repair costs? That would be like pushing someone to death.
Adrien asked in his mind, 'System, does this car have insurance?'
[Ding! All the things that system gives to the Host are complete sets. The insurance is of the highest level!]
Adrien walked over to Misael, helped him up, and said, "Misael, your parents work hard to raise you. You just can't destroy other people's property. Do you understand?"
"I understand now. Sir, I'm sorry!" Misael apologized to Adrien tearfully.
"If you're still not satisfied, you can beat Misael up, but don't kill him!" The woman said with a hint of sorrow.
"What are you talking about? The child made a mistake, so teach him a lesson, and that's enough. As long as he remember and doesn't make the same mistake again in the future, it will be fine. What's the point in hitting him? Even if you hit him, he might not learn anything!"
"Right, you're right. How much should I give you?"
Adrien looked at the drawing at the car and then at the pen in Misael's hand.
"Misael, you drew on my car and ruined it. As punishment, I'll use this pen in your hand to draw on your face the blue sky and white clouds that you drew on my car. Do you agree?" Adrien said gently.
Misael looked confused and turned to his mother for guidance.
The woman repeatedly nodded her head, and then Misael handed the pen to Adrien. Adrien took the pen and started drawing on Misael's face.
After a while, Misael face was covered with messy drawings, which made everyone around them laugh. Misael wanted to see himself, so Adrien picked Misael up and let him see himself from the car window.
"It looks very ugly!"
"So, you don't do this in the future, okay?"
"Yes. I'll be good from now on!"
"Good now go home with your mother." Adrien's word surprised the woman and people watching.
"You're just letting her go like that when they did this to your car?" A passerby asked.
"The child made a mistake, and I have punished him. I don't know how much it'll cost to repair my car, but I can't make things difficult for the mother. This is enough. Don't surround us anymore. I have things to do and need to leave!"
"You… you're such a good person! Thank you!" The woman and Misael bowed to Adrien, who waved his hand and drove away.
As Adrien left the residential area, he looked at the damage on his car again and felt heartbroken. He took out his phone and called the dealership. After learning that it could be repaired, he made an appointment at 3:00 clock in the afternoon and then went to look for the lottery store!
On the way, Adrien searched for the store. Suddenly, the system notification popped up in his mind!
[Ding! The Host is considerate in handling matters and has won one Raffle! Would the Host like to Raffle now?]
Hearing the system's word Adrien felt much more mentally balanced!
"Not now! Later!"
The most important thing now was not the Raffle or repairing the car but buying lottery tickets and upgrading the system at the same time!
Adrien arrived at the lottery store on Reburg Central Avenue. He handed over the sets of numbers that he had written down.
"Sir, I want the number with two hundred times multiplier! Take a good look, and don't get the wrong numbers!"
"Two hundred times? Young man, you're really confident," the man chuckled and shook his head, not believing that Adrien could win.
"I'm really lucky lately!" Adrien said. After getting the lottery tickets, he put it in his phone case and left!
Once outside the lottery store, Adrien took out the lottery tickets and looked at it carefully for a long time. He still couldn't figure out what was so special about his ticket. He then glanced at his phone, which he had bought second-hand four years ago when he just started college. The camera sucked, it was time to upgrade!
Adrien stepped on the gas pedal and arrived at a nearby shopping mall. He walked into a phone store.
"Hello, sir. What would you like to see?"
"I want to buy a new phone. What are the prices?"
"They range from over 900 dollars to more than 2,400 dollars."
"Give me the one that costs 2,400 dollars, and select a tablet for me. Together, they should be less than 4,000 dollars."
"Okay, sir. Please wait a moment."
Shortly after, Adrien put the lottery ticket worth 200 million dollars in his newly purchased phone case. He checked his account balance, which was still more than 160 dollars. He then went to the car store.
Adrien was not familiar with the car store. He just parked his car outside and made a phone call. Then, a customer service representative came to take his car key. Before leaving, Adrien asked about the repair cost, but the other party said it was covered by insurance, so Adrien didn't need to pay anything. They would contact him when the car was fixed.
Adrien took his new phone and tablet and returned to his house in the taxi. Suddenly, his phone rang, and Adrien was not used to it!
"Hello?"
"Hey, Adrien! What have you been up to lately?" it was Kamron Frost, Adrien's college buddy.
"I haven't been doing much these days. Just staying at home."
"Are you working today? If you're free, come out for dinner tonight! Let's go to that restaurant outside our college! I just got paid today, so I'll treat our dorm mates to meat! You have to come! It's been a long time since the four of us got together!" Kamron said.
"No problem! What time?" Adrien asked.
"6:30 pm. See you tonight!" replied Kamron.
After hanging up the phone, Adrien felt very happy. During his four years of college, besides his three roommates who never looked down on him and always helped him, he had almost no other friends. Adrien always kept the friendship in mind, and if he ever become successful in the future, he would definitely help his three buddies out!
'System, you mentioned there was one chance for Raffle before! What is that?' Adrien asked.
[Ding! The Host has handled things very tactfully and has received an extra Raffle from the system as a reward. Would the Host like to Raffle now?]
