Chapter 50 - 50. Kimimaro Senju

Kimimaro gazed at the huge pond watching the Koi fish move about as he fed them food from time to time.

He liked this peaceful atmosphere and wished it would last forever.

In the Kaguya clan he was locked in a dark cell and only let out when they had enemies to slaughter. Kimimaro didn't like it, but he felt it was his purpose.

But it all changed when that man came and took him away from there, he did try to resist but it was futile, and that is how Kimimaro was recruited (kidnapped) into the Senju clan.

Kimimaro was surprised when that man claimed to be the patriarch of the Senju clan, but it didn't matter. No matter who he was he earned Kimimaro's eternal respect.

Kimimaro was currently contemplating the 'Mission' given to him by the Patriarch, he asked him to Live for himself and make that his life's purpose.

Kimimaro didn't know how to do that, all his life he only knew how to be a tool and even at the age of 3 years he was locked up inside a cage having to fight against others.

But right now feeling the peace and tranquillity Kimimaro felt he enjoyed it, and maybe that was what he should live for.

To keep this peace and tranquillity from dissipating.

....

Yugito was currently reading some story books while munching on some snacks.

Yugito couldn't help but think her life has become much more carefree causing a smile to form on her face.

She couldn't help but reminisce about how she met her Sensei...

....

Two figures were sparring against each other, one had the stature of an adult while the other one was a child.

But it couldn't be called sparring as the older person was beating up the child causing the child to show a painful expression.

The ones watching only had a cold expression on their face but deep down they had a sadistic glint in their eyes.

Yugito felt like her whole body was hurting, but she still persevered, because only in this way could she be useful to the village, she comforted herself.

Suddenly her mind went blank as she felt a knee implanted onto her gut causing her to gasp for air as she crumbled to the ground curling up in pain.

She could hear the mocking laughter and disdainful snorts as she heard footsteps coming towards her. She tried to look up with difficulty but received a boot in the face. And she received a bunch of kicks on her body until they got bored and left, not before spitting on her in disdain.

Yugito felt hurt, physically and mentally.

Why? .....Why were they treating her like this, weren't they from the same village? What did she do to receive this hate?

Yugito felt her vision blur as tears formed in her eyes, even if she tried to comfort herself that it was all for the village, she couldn't help but question it sometimes.

As Yugito was curled up on the ground she suddenly felt a soothing sensation through her body as she felt a warm hand on her head.

She looked up to meet the warm gaze of a masked individual.

His warm gaze surprised her as she didn't see the scorn or disdain she was used to seeing.

This made something break inside her as she started sobbing loudly as tears poured out of her eyes while the figure just stood by her offering his support...

....

" So Mister you are an ANBU who was tasked with monitoring me? " Yugito asked excitedly as it was her first time meeting someone who didn't look at her negatively.

" Yes" the masked figure replied curtly

" Then why haven't I seen you before? "

" I'm new, and I am an ANBU "

"Oh! "

"Why is your mask black?"

" How do you really look like ?"

"Are you a man or a woman? "

"How strong are you? "

This continued as Yugito would ask question after question until the ANBU left saying he would be back later. Not before telling her not to reveal his presence to anyone.

Yugito was excited as this meant she shared a secret with someone and she was excited about it...

....

Yugito came out of her memories as she had a smile on her face.

To think she had thought of him as an ANBU, although it hurt as she felt betrayed that he had lied to her, but it was all for the better.

To think she worshipped that Warmonger bastard and his shitty village.

She won't take revenge on them as she had a family which she was content with. Although she hated them, she no longer cared about them...

....

Kyouka was having a foreboding feeling in the back of her mind. She felt like something bad was about to happen.

She didn't know why.

Recently she has been on edge after finding out that her daughter had also inherited that cursed power from her. She felt terrified, if anybody knew about her and her daughter then their peaceful lives would come to an end.

But Kyouka pushed all of the negative thoughts to the back of her mind as she focused on making food for her family. Her daughter was watching her with excitement in her eyes.

" Haku-chan why don't you go fetch some water ~," she told her daughter with a smile.

"Ok, Mom! " her bundles of joy replied cheerfully before running outside...

....

But only a few minutes after she heard footsteps and felt her daughter hugging her with a shaking body.

Kyouka had a sinking feeling in her heart as her heart tightened.

" M-Mom O-Outside " Hearing her child's trembling voice Kyouka had a guess and she wished it wasn't true.

Kyouka could hear shouts and footsteps from the outside getting closer.

She tremblingly went to the entrance of her house but what she saw made her feel despair, as she saw the mob gathered outside with pitchforks, axes, hoes and all kinds of tools.

Even her husband was among them looking at her and his daughter with a fearful expression.

Kyouka felt betrayed, as she felt herself falling deeper into the darkness.....but she only wished her Haku could escape.

.....

All kinds of shouts and screams were heard as a bunch of fearful villagers surrounded a small house.

They threw stones at two figures huddled together begging them to stop, but this only further roused the sadistic instincts of the people gathered here.

Kyouka clutched Haku to her body as she shielded her daughter from stray projectiles.

Kyouka seemed to have lost all hope but she wanted them to at least let her child go.

So she begged.

" Shinji, please! She is our child, your daughter. Even if you want to kill me at least let her go! " Kyouka hugged Haku as she gazed at her once-loving husband with desperation in her voice.

She wished for him to at least let their child go, but it seemed she had her hopes up as he callously dismissed her.

" Shut up you demon! You and that demon spawn of yours shouldn't be allowed to live! "

Kyouka hearing these words from the man who swore to protect her when he married her back then felt like her whole world was collapsing as her gaze became dim and she lost all hope.

'Don't deserve to live' Kyouka muttered inside her mind.

She only wanted a peaceful family, is that too much to ask for?

Maybe it was, maybe she should have just died in a ditch somewhere, at least her daughter wouldn't have this fate.

It was her fault her daughter carried that cursed bloodline in her.

She hugged her daughter tighter while tears started streaming down her face as she had a self-deprecating smile on her face.

' Haku-chan If only Mother wasn't a demon, you wouldn't have to experience this '

Kyouka had already given up hope and was waiting for them to kill her.

But she was brought out of her reverie as she heard a voice before her vision was covered by cherry blossoms.

" Scatter "

"Senbonzakura"
