Chapter 4 - Birth of a Legend 1

Sunlight entered the room through large glass windows, casting intricate patterns onto the polished marble floor and bathing the chamber in a warm, golden hue. Fragrant incense fills the air, mingling with the subtle scent of herbs and flowers, imparting a healing and soothing effect on those present in the room.

Despite the lavish surroundings, the atmosphere in the room is fraught with tension and anticipation. The maids and midwives move about the room, carrying polished silver instruments, beads of sweat glistening on their foreheads. Their worried glances flit between the lady lying on the bed and the two women beside her.

The lady lying on the bed is Erina Amateris, the daughter-in-law of the Caelus family. She is currently in the process of giving birth to a child. The two women beside her are Lady Nour, the royal doctor, and Lady Deborah Wokark, the royal healer. Both Lady Nour and Deborah Wokark are assisting her during childbirth.

Erina, draped in shimmering linens, writhes on the vast bed. Rune markings, faintly glowing with light, encircle the mattress, emitting a calming and soothing energy. Her cries, raw and powerful, echo around the room. Beads of sweat gather around her forehead and wet her hair, her brow furrowed in fierce concentration. Two doctors, each showing a lifetime of experience, move with calm authority amidst the flurry of activity. One carefully monitors Erina's vitals, while the other guides her with a calm and quiet voice .

Across the room, on a velvet sofa, sits a beautiful lady. Her white hair, like moonlight woven into strands, observes the scene with a neutral yet deeply concerned gaze. Her sharp eyes, the color of cold ice, are focused on Erina. Beside her, two women in royal dress stand nervously, their gaze fixed on Erina.

The room is filled with the rhythmic thrum of Erina's cries, mingling with the occasional murmur of doctors and the mutterings of midwives. Despite the chaos, an unseen order forms. The midwives and maids move with practiced efficiency and professionalism. The doctor's hands, though stained with sweat, are steady and sure. Each passing moment feels like an eternity, the air heavy with the weight of expectation.

As the intensity of labor tightens its grip on Erina, the atmosphere in the room grows tense and urgent. The maids and midwives hasten their movements, their faces etched with deep concern. They fetch fresh linens to replace those damp with sweat and begin boiling water for washing the child after birth. Their quick and efficient actions signal thorough and beforehand preparations. Lady Nour and Lady Deborah issue precise instructions, while even the lady seated on the velvet sofa rises and draws closer to Erina. The air itself begins to vibrate in anticipation of the birth of a legend.

And then, in a moment that seems to hang suspended in time, the tension in the room is shattered by the sound of a newborn's cry.

In the heart of vast, green plains, encircled by towering walls and dense woods, stands a magnificent estate. Nestled within the expansive embrace of the estate's verdant grounds, lies the grand and magnificent palace. From afar, the mansion emits a commanding presence, like a beacon of elegance amidst nature's splendor.

As one enters the palace, a vast expanse of the hall unfolds, stretching out beneath ceilings adorned with intricate moldings and delicate carvings. Light cascades gently through the windows, casting soft patterns upon the polished white marble floor below.

Throughout the entire palace, there is a buzz of activity. Two rooms stand out as particularly bustling. In one room, individuals fidget nervously, their attention focused on an inner chamber guarded by two female knights with stoic expressions. The servants in the room stand in two lines against the walls, patiently awaiting the childbirth and attending to all present.

This is the Caelus Family palace, situated in the Caelus Estate within The Empire of Amateris. It is here that Lady Erina Amateris is giving birth to a child. In the center of the room, a velvet sofa hosts a gathering of people engaged in discussions about childbirth, their voices hushed with anticipation and concern.

Seated upon a plush velvet sofa, the old man's gaze is fixed upon the door, guarded by two vigilant female knights. His eyes sparkle with anticipation and favor as he awaits the arrival of a newborn. Turning to the person beside him, he inquires, "So, Headmistress, what is happening in your academy?" His voice, tinged with joy and pride, carries across the room, a beacon of warmth amidst the tension of the moment.

The beautiful woman next to him eyed him with annoyance and said, "Father, you know I hate that title, and I never wanted it. But that old master of mine forced me to become the headmistress of the academy." Her voice carried a hint of frustration and resignation as she expressed her reluctance to embrace the role imposed upon her.

The old man, the army general of Grifith kingdom, seated tall and proud, his robust build a testament to years of disciplined training and countless battles. His deep black eyes gleam with a steely resolve as he locks gazes with his daughter, her blue eyes reflecting a mix of emotions. With a gentle smile, he replies, his voice carrying a reassuring tone, "Because that man wanted to save you. Because of that title, our enemies don't attack you or us without thinking. It makes them wary of us and gives us time to find a solution for it."

"I know, Father, but still being the headmistress of the academy is not that easy. I have to deal with all those hateful guys and their schemes. It doesn't give me any time for my own training and study. Ah, those hateful guys, I guess I should just beat them into submission and let them know their places," she replied, her voice tinged with bitterness and resentment.

"Hahaha, Selene, be careful with your words. If your mother hears it, you will be in big trouble," he replied, a hint of amusement in his voice as he gently chided his daughter.

"General Richard Caelus, I forbid you to tell a word of this to Mom. Our conversations are between us, and I won't tolerate any snitching," she asserted firmly, her tone leaving no room for argument.

"Forget all this, tell me about what's happening in the kingdom?" she asked, redirecting the conversation to a different topic.

"Well, considering your mother is the Commander of the Sky Legion, not many people can trouble us directly. However, I still have a feeling that the royal family of Grifith and those hateful folks from Rasenhire are up to something," he replied with a heavy sigh, his concern evident in his voice.

"I've entrusted those matters to your brother Helius, and I'm confident he'll handle them. After all, he's the guild leader of the Caelus Guild," he remarked, his tone reflecting trust in his son's capabilities.

"Hmm, I see. But, what about the eastern border? I heard there was some confrontation with the Forest People," she asked, her tone shifting to concern for the broader issues affecting the kingdom.

"Don't worry about that. The Forest People are nothing but pawns of the Hein Empire. They're testing whether they can seize a part of Grifith without direct involvement from the Empire," he replied.

Their exchange comes to a halt as a group of people enters the room.
