The Bixuzhu fruit truly lived up to being Qingze's favorite. After consuming it, Qingze's mood visibly improved. It lazily reclined on a stone, enjoying the sun while indulging in the Bixuzhu fruits.
Although there was still a pile of Bixuzhu fruits on the stone slab, Yu Su didn't dare to touch them. Seeing Qingze in good spirits, he spoke, "Mountain God, I've gathered the Guardian Grass, and I appreciate your guidance on the matter of Black Flame Valley. By the way, when we went to Black Flame Valley, something happened..."
Yu Su informed Qingze about the battle between the Flame Bird and Winged Serpent, mentioning how he assisted the Flame Bird.
Qingze didn't show much reaction, as if the life or death of the Flame Bird or Winged Serpent was irrelevant to it. However, when Yu Su mentioned bringing back the Flame Bird egg, Qingze glanced at him.
Yu Su: "Would you like to see it?"
Although Qingze didn't speak, Yu Su interpreted its silence as consent and presented the Flame Bird egg.
When Yu Su took out the Flame Bird egg, Qingze, which had been leisurely reclining, stood up. Its expression appeared more serious as it focused on the Flame Bird egg on the ground.
Yu Su felt a bit nervous. "Is there something wrong with this egg?"
Qingze didn't answer but gently nudged the egg back toward Yu Su after a moment.
Yu Su considered, "Should I continue keeping it?"
Qingze nodded.
Relieved, Yu Su realized the egg should be fine.
"Since it's okay, I plan to hatch it. If I can raise a Flame Bird, it would be beneficial for guarding the village in the future."
After all, the Flame Bird was a spiritual bird, capable of battling the Winged Serpent, showcasing its strength.
Qingze had no objections to his plan and lazily sat back down.
Yu Su cleared his throat and brought up the matter of the witch doctor again.
Qingze listened quietly. The witch doctor of Vu Village wasn't chosen by Qingze but selected his own disciple before coming for approval. Therefore, Qingze didn't know much about Vu Village's witch doctor.
However, Vu Village had been under its protection for many years, and it had some sentiments toward the human village at the foot of the mountain.
So, every witch doctor could get its approval, allowing them to seek help by coming up Deer God Mountain when needed.
When Yu Su mentioned the witch doctor, Qingze thought for a while before recalling what kind of person the current witch doctor was.
Intentionally harming others was not only a moral issue but something Qingze would never condone in a witch doctor.
It conveyed to Yu Su that he could handle it however he pleased, just not to bother Qingze with trivial matters.
Yu Su said, "Cough, besides the witch doctor's matter, there are some other things I'd like to discuss with you."
Yu Su first mentioned the convenience he gained by acting in Qingze's name. Seeing no reaction from Qingze, he knew as long as his actions weren't harmful, Qingze wouldn't mind. He had a sense of assurance.
Then, he talked about the matters of the salt spring and the mountain road.
"If we open the mountain road, we might have to pass through the misty tree forest. I'd like to discuss with you whether you can remove the mist on the mountain road. It only needs to be removed from the road. I'm just borrowing a path, and I will warn the people in the village not to enter the misty tree forest and disturb your tranquility."
Qingze glanced at him, probably thinking that Yu Su had a lot on his plate.
Yu Su, feeling a bit embarrassed, smiled, "Feel free to propose any conditions. As long as I can do it, I will."
Apart from enjoying stories, Qingze loved eating Bixuzhu fruits. It usually led a laid-back life, sleeping or basking in the sun, with no other interests or hobbies.
Yu Su proposed that, besides completing the story of the Big Monk and his three disciples, he would continue telling many more stories to keep Qingze satisfied.
"Besides that, once the village expands in the future, I'll build a grand temple for you. A spacious and luxurious one to ensure you live comfortably."
A temple?
Qingze was used to sleeping under the sky and bedding down on the ground. It had never lived in a temple before.
Seeing it slightly intrigued, Yu Su described what the future temple he would build for Qingze would look like. He spoke of a soft and comfortable nest, essentially an enlarged version of a cat's cozy spot, and mentioned planting a Bixuzhu fruit tree in the temple.
Qingze listened, feeling a bit ticklish. It lifted its noble head, gently nodded, and agreed.
Excited in his heart, Yu Su thought, success!
After chatting with Qingze, Yu Su then asked if it wanted to meet the witch doctor.
Qingze shook its head, showing little interest in interacting with ordinary people. It suggested that Yu Su handle it on his own.
Not wanting to disturb Qingze further, Yu Su agreed to come back in a few days to tell more stories and then left Deer God Mountain.
