Beta Lucas' POV
"Beta Lucas, are you with me?" Alpha Natalie pulls me back to herself.
I nod, not wanting to respond at first. I'm too scattered to think things through or sit put for a meeting.
"I am, Alpha Natalie." My voice is cold and blunt, and my face isn't far from it.
Yet again, my mind drifts to hours ago.
I know I shouldn't be here. I'm messing thing up for Alpha Natalie, somehow making her go back and forth is tiring.
In her mind, I bet she thinks I suck, lately, if she's nice to grant me mercy.
And also, in my defense, I'm not in the mood for official duties.
Sasha was pretty terrified when she ran out of my room to Alpha Natalie's room. At first, I wanted to go after her and stop her or maybe ensure she was okay at least.
But then again, I had a meeting that the Alpha herself had summoned. I should get ready for it, and deal with Sasha's issues later.
