I scoff, his words seeming vague, and the harder I try to make sense of it, the more confused I get.
"Not like I'm certain, it's just a smart guess and I have got this strong conviction that the killer is still in there and that you might be in danger too."
To be honest, I find what he's saying to be true... but, I just can't agree yet, or leave in terror by making hasty conclusions yet. Being weak and unable to defend myself, is enough trouble for the moment. Bagging another is crazy.
"Hendrix..." I pause. "Why do I feel like you're trying to pay me back by scaring me so bad?" I demand keenly.
"To what end?" He rolls his eyes. "Exactly, nothing." He shrugs. "I'm serious, Lady Natalie."
I forcefully swallow, hearing him address me formally doesn't sit right at all, and considering that Hendrix is not one to follow the rules, it's more uncomfortable.
