Derek paced about in his father's office, not minding how busy the Beta seemed to be. He had his own troubles and he needed solution for it. Wearing a worried but an angry expression, he kept going through it all in his head. His father had urged him to be patient since he took out the Omega but nothing had changed yet, if anything it was getting worse. He hardly got Tessa's attention. It was as though she was avoiding him, he barely saw her anymore. Not around the pack house or her house.
The new situation was getting to him, making him think he had made things worse by taking out the Omega. His father on the other hand didn't seem that concerned about the whole thing. It was as though he didn't care at all about it, seeing as he never makes a comment about it. "Aren't you going to say anything? You told me she was going to come around but that isn't the case here. She seems to be slipping away, farther and farther away from me with each passing day" He blurted out.
Beta Maynard look up at his son from the open logs on his table. He didn't know how to let his son know that his love affair wasn't a priority of his at the moment. If anything it was a hindrance to his plans, to his goals. His plan doesn't end with Tessa becoming Alpha of their pack or being mates with son, after all she was from the clan of their enemy and wasn't the rightful heir. He wasn't going to let a total stranger, an abomination to become the leader of their pack or to taint his bloodline with her demon blood.
Breaking all that to his love-struck son would be difficult and would only set him off. The Beta knew it was best to keep all that to himself for the now. He didn't want any unplanned factors to affect his plan when he was so close to getting what he wanted.
"Do you even care about this at all or is it not a bother to you?" Derek's voice broke through his thought. "You told me as long as I do what I was told, I will get what I wanted, it doesn't seem that way anymore" He quarrelled
"Be patient, we are almost there. I am not going to sit here on my hands and let your future slip away from you. Trust that I know what's best" Beta Maynard stated right before a loud clap of thunder sounded. It had begun raining already and it was steadily getting heavy.
"I am tired of waiting"
"You have…"
"Commander!!!" Vee barged into the office, interrupting them. She was soaked from the rain and had a scared look also. "She's gone! She's missing!" She blurted out.
"What are you talking about?" Derek questioned with a puzzled look.
"Tessa…I think she's missing"
"What do you mean she is missing?" Derek questioned again, getting worked up.
"I mean she's disappeared, I can't find her"

Tessa's eyes slowly opened to an unfamiliar place. Her vision was blurry and she could barely see a thing. All she could hear was heavy rainfall and thunder rumbling. She sat up on the bed she had been laying as her vision was gradually becoming clearer. She tried to remember what happened when she heard his voice. "Good, you are awake"
Immediately she heard his voice, she felt this sudden rage, she looked over at the door where he was standing, leaning against the frame with his arms folded. Without warning she shoots up to her feet and charged toward him with the aim of attacking. Kreed got out of the way just in time to escape her claws.
He had anticipated her attacking him. He could feel her rage so he knew what to expect. She turned to face him immediately, growling with her fangs out and her eyes glowing red. Kreed stared at her red eyes with a proud smile which was hidden behind his mask. It was certain now that they were right about her. She growled loudly and angrily before dashing toward him again, swinging her right and left hand at him speedily, trying to slash him with her claws.
Dodging her attacks one after the other, Kreed could tell she didn't know her eyes were glowing red at the moment instead of the yellow color she was familiar with. He looked around the room and it was getting turned upside down from her attacks which were getting more violent. He needed to put an end to it before she enters into blood rage. "I was hoping we could have a calm and civil conversation" He stated whilst still dodging her attacks.
"There is no way in hell I am having a conversation with you. Fight me!" She yelled at him.
"There will be plenty of chances for us to shed each other's blood or kill each other but now is not the time"
"This chance isn't going to pass me by, you murderer" She called out, picking up some broken stakes and throwing it toward him. Seeing as he was catching them easily, she decided to improvise. She broke the chair closest to her, picked up three of the broken sharp pieces, threw one at him and while he was distracted with trying to catch that one, she dashed swiftly toward him, aiming to stab him but he swiftly reacted, caught the one she threw and also caught her hand which held the stake. She gave a wicked smirk on seeing she got him open. She swiftly plunged the third stake into his rib with her free hand, pushing it deep into his rib whilst staring into his eyes.
Kreed winced in pain, feeling the stake turning inside him. "Enough!" He growled, letting go of her hands and without delay, grabbed her neck, turned and slammed her against the wall behind simultaneously as a loud clap of thunder sounded. Tessa wheezed for air from the hard impact she had with the wall. He let go of her neck, took both her hands, pinned them on top of each other above her head and without warning, pulled out the stake from his rib and impaled her hands together through her palms.
Tessa cried out in pain, feeling blood run down her hands from the opening in her palms. Her glowing red eyes stopped and her fangs and claws retracted. She looked up at him with pain in her eyes and trickling down them too. Seeing the look in her eyes, Kreed's eyes widened, his heart skipping a beat. He stumbled back, letting go off her hand. She dropped to the floor, sitting and leaning against the wall. Her impaled hands in front of her, bleeding with the stake still buried in them, holding both palms together.
Kreed turned away from, clutching his chest, trying to calm his beating heart down and get himself together. "Are you ready to listen now?" He asked with his back still turned to her.
"I..don't..want..to..listen..to..anything..you..have..to..say" She replied softly with her voice breaking.
"Well you don't have a choice" He pulled up the only chair that was still intact and sat down in front of her. She had her head tilted down, eyes fixed on her palms, tears still running down her cheek. "How much do you really know?"
Tessa heard his question but decided to ignore it and listened to the sound of rain falling outside the cabin instead. She thought it was best not to pay attention to whatever he had to say, thinking it was mostly going to be lies. It was common sense not to listen to the person who murdered your first love.
"Your whole life has been a lie Tessa" Kreed stated
She slowly looked up at him after hearing those words from him. That was when she realized he wasn't putting on their signature robe. She hadn't noticed the whole time because she was blinded with rage. He was putting on a black long sleeve rash guard tucked in fitted black pants. It looked like what they wore under the robe. He had no shoes on. His mask was placed firmly on his face and his head was wrapped with a black scarf also, hiding his hair for reasons she knew nothing about. His cute upper body was evident through the body-hugging rash guard. His build reminded her of Kieran's and it pissed her off more.
"What lie?" She gave him a quizzical look, unable to ignore it. She was curious to hear whatever he was about to say, lie or not.
"Well…let me enlighten you a little" Kreed replied, covering his eyes through the mask.
