Me and Kakashi locked in a tense stare-down, our eyes glowing with the intensity of their Sharingan.
"Sakura-chan! Why are their eyes red, Dattebayo?!" Naruto exclaimed, pointing towards Kakashi and Sasuke.
Sakura, still shaken from the genjutsu, tried to calm him. "I'll explain later. Just think of it as a special eye technique that increases their vision."
I moved first, dashing toward Kakashi with calculated speed, my katana gleaming in the sunlight. Kakashi's Sharingan tracked in an instant, and he met my strike with his tanto (White Light Chakra Sabre of his father). Sparks flew as our weapons clashed. Though my movements were sharp, Kakashi's superior strength was evident in every exchange, forcing me to rely on my agility and precise footwork.
Naruto and Sakura froze, their jaws hanging open.
"Whoa! Sasuke's already fighting him one-on-one?!" Naruto exclaimed.
Sakura gasped. "He's… incredible! But how can he fight Kakashi-sensei like that?"
The two exchanged a series of blindingly fast blows, Kakashi's tanto clashing against Sasuke's katana in a flurry of sparks.
But I wasn't relying on sharingan alone. Using my sensory abilities, I anticipated Kakashi's next move, sidestepping a sudden counterattack and retaliating with a Fireball Jutsu. The massive ball of flame roared toward Kakashi, who leapt into the air to avoid it, flipping gracefully.
Sakura gasped. "A fire ball?!! I didn't know Sasuke could fight like this! He's incredible..."
Naruto crossed his arms, pouting. "Tch, showoff."
I could feel the difference in their physical strength and physical speed, and Kakashi's effortless defense reminded me that my own 12-year-old body had limitations, no matter how much training I had done.
My two tomoe sharingan couldn't track Kakashi fully.
With my sensory abilities, he could read the fluctuations in Kakashi's chakra. And when I mix my sensory abilities with my sharingan, I could anticipate movements, seeing just the slightest shift in Kakashi's posture as a tell. But despite My ability to see and predict, Kakashi was still one step ahead in defense.
My senses and eyes tracked Kakashi's every move, allowing me to dodge a sudden counterattack. He flipped backward and unleashed a Fire style- Phoenix flower Jutsu mid-air. Several small balls of flames roared toward Kakashi, forcing him to leap away and throw several explosive tag attach kunais to stop the incoming attack. Before Kakashi landed, I was already on him, slashing with my katana.
Kakashi barely had time to block. "Your precision is impressive," he said. "You are a sensory type, huh."
I smirked internally. 'You haven't seen anything yet.'
"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!"
A massive fireball roared toward Kakashi, but the Jonin stood his ground. Forming his own seals, he countered.
"Water Style: Water Wall!"
A torrent of water surged upward, extinguishing the flames in a hiss of steam.
"I can't see, Dattebayo!" Naruto shouted.
"How is it possible? Water has natural advantage against fire. How can it be a stalemate?" Sakura exclaimed.
When the mist cleared, Sasuke was already charging forward, katana unsheathed and ready to strike.
"Uchiha Reflection!"
I slashed through Kakashi's water wall with his blade, absorbing the remnants of the jutsu into the katana. In an instant, I redirected the absorbed chakra into a slicing wind-style arc that tore through the clearing, forcing Kakashi to leap out of its path.
"A wind-style counterattack," Kakashi muttered, landing gracefully. "Clever."
I smirked. "There's more where that came from."
Kakashi's tanto came down in a sharp arc, but I parried with my katana, the force of the blow vibrating through my arms. Kakashi's superior strength was evident, but my multiple senses allowed me to predict Kakashi's movements, keeping me one step ahead from a fatal blow.
"You're better than I expected," Kakashi admitted. Kakashi throw some shurikens which I dodge but then Kakashi tug his arm and I saw wires attached to shurikens.
I feinted left, then unleashed Chidori Nagashi. Lightning surged from my body around me, defensing myself from wires while forcing Kakashi to leap away further away. The electricity arced toward the wires which spread toward Kakashi momentarily stunning him.
Kakashi frowned. 'He's using that as a defense and offence. Such control.'
Before Kakashi could counter, I darted forward, using his body flicker jutsu. In a swift move, I snatched the bells from Kakashi's belt.
Naruto's scream echoed across the field. "HE GOT THE BELLS?!"
Sakura's eyes widened. "No way… he actually did it!"
At the same time alarm clock ring indicating that the time is over. Suddenly two kunai came and pierce the alarm cloak breaking it. Those kunais was thrown by Kakashi and Naruto.
I tossed the bell in my pocket, my katana raised and pointed towards Kakashi.
Kakashi's visible eye narrowed. 'I can't stop the fight now. Lord Hokage told me to get a good measure of Sasuke's abilities, but Sasuke is pushing me instead. And Naruto and Sakura are losing confidence, I have to make sure Sasuke don't win. And most of all, me, a jounin, previous anbu, getting pushing by a fresh out genin? No!'
Kakashi suddenly flipped backward, forming a quick series of hand seals. "Let's see how you handle this." Slamming his hand onto the ground, he summoned his pack of ninja dogs, led by Pakkun. The hounds surrounded me in an instant, growling as they prepared to pounce.
Naruto jumped up in excitement. "Ninja dogs?! That's so cool!"
Sakura clutched her hands nervously. "Sasuke can't take on Kakashi and those dogs alone!"
But I remained calm. I leapt backward, weaving my own hand seals. With a burst of smoke, a sleek black cat with piercing green eyes appeared at my side. More cats materialized around him, each radiating a feral energy.
"Cats?" Naruto blinked. "What kind of summon is that?"
The lead cat hissed, its fur bristling. My voice was cold and commanding. "Kuro, take care of the dogs."
The ninja cats leapt into action, clashing with Kakashi's hounds in a chaotic melee. Claws and fangs met in a flurry of strikes. Kunais and explosive tags were thrown from my summons's side. Pakkun growled as he dodged a particularly agile cat, while Kakashi used the distraction to close the distance between himself and me.
The fight intensified. Sasuke, starting to feel the strain of keeping up with Kakashi's speed and power. Suddenly another Kakashi came from behind and bind my hands. My sharingan read Kakashi behind me and Kakashi in front of me. Kakashi standing in front of me has a less chakra, means Kakashi behind me is the real one.
"Rasengan!"
I used Rasengan and blasted Kakashi, but a jolt of lightning run through my body, Kakashi behind me turned out to me lightning clone.
Kakashi deliberately set a trap! He made sure his clone has more chakra than him.
Kakashi walk towards me and I saw but couldn't move because of being paralyzed.
I activated the First Gate, a surge of chakra flooding my muscles breaking me out of paralysis. My speed increased dramatically, my strikes becoming so fast that Kakashi struggled to deflect them.
Naruto practically fell over. "What the heck?! He's even faster now!"
Sakura stared in awe. "How does he have this much power?"
Kakashi, now on the defensive, sighed. "The gates too? If you're pushing yourself this far, I have no choice."
Activating the First Gate himself, Kakashi's chakra surged, and his movements became a blur. My Sharingan and sensory abilities struggled to keep up as Kakashi's strikes grew faster and heavier. Or maybe I can't focus on my sensory abilities properly because of the strain on my body.
The two of us clashed in a whirlwind of blows, their weapons sparking with each impact. Wherever our blows meet, a small crater was made on the ground. I made chakra threads and spread them out all around me. The point of contact of Kakashi with the treads allowed him to anticipate Kakashi's moves, but my 12-year-old body was reaching its limit, but I keep pushing, knowing the moment I deactivate the gates, my speed will reduce to a normal genin and my muscles will give out. Kakashi's tanto cracked under the strain of impact with my katana, but he refused to back down.
"Is... is this real?" Naruto whispered, his voice filled with awe. "It's like watching two gods battle."
Sakura was equally in awe. "They're both incredible..."
Both fighters were visibly exhausted. Kakashi's chakra was nearly depleted from maintaining the Sharingan and the First Gate. My body trembled from the strain of pushing past my limits. I can feel my katana feeling heavier as the time goes.
Kakashi landed a powerful kick to my midsection, sending me skidding across the ground.
Damn it! Can't breath!
I coughed but quickly formed a single seal. A faint green glow appeared around my hands as he used basic medical ninjutsu to dull the pain and repair the damage.
Kakashi's eyes widened. "Medical ninjutsu, too? You've been busy, really busy. I was wrong o judge you before knowing you. You are a hard worker."
I stood, my expression calm but a crack giving away my exhaustion. "Glad to know that there isn't any misunderstanding between us."
Kakashi formed a single hand seal, preparing a final Lightning Blade. I responded by channeling the last of my strength into a Chidori Nagashi, lightning crackling around my body.
We charged at each other, their attacks colliding in a blinding explosion of light and sound. The ground beneath us cracked, and the shockwave sent Naruto and Sakura tumbling backward.
When the dust settled, both fighters were on their knees, panting heavily. Kakashi's tanto was chipped, and Sasuke's katana was feeling heavy in my hand.
Naruto and Sakura ran toward them, their faces a mix of awe and concern.
"You guys are insane!" Naruto yelled. "That was the coolest thing I've ever seen!"
Sakura knelt beside Sasuke. "Sasuke, are you okay? That fight was unbelievable…"
We both look at Naruto and Sakura with a threating look halting their advancements.
Kakashi threw his tanto and pick a kunai. I also kept my katana aside and took a kunai. My eyes were bleeding. To reduce the strain, I reduce my two tomoe sharingan to one tomoe. Seeing this, Kakashi also quickly cover his sharingan.
My muscles are so strained and my sharp katana which can even cut the air, that katana is also dangerous for me right now. And I don't think I can handle the recoil if I use Uchiha reflection. It's best to use a kunai right now.
We both with our remaining courage reactivate the first gate and gather all we could and lunged at each other.
The fight was no longer just about winning—it was a battle of pride. My attacks were relentless, as he pressed Kakashi harder than ever. Kakashi, however, wasn't backing down. He was exhausted, his chakra running low, but his pride as a Jonin wouldn't allow him to falter. Every attack he made was calculated, each strike a desperate attempt to push me back.
Our final exchange was a clash of pure willpower. Kakashi once again formed a single hand seal, preparing a final Lightning Blade but this time infusing it in his kunai. I responded by channeling the last of my strength into a Chidori Nagashi, lightning crackling around my body.
But this time, just before contact, Kakashi uses his free left hand and make a Rasengan and attack my Chidori Nagashi.
My eyes widen and I quickly increase my output to the max. I saw how Kakashi's Rasengan made my defense weak enough that Kakashi pierced it with his Chidori infused kunai.
I quickly cover my kunai with fire chakra and intercept Kakashi attack. A blinding light flashed.
Kakashi's kunai grazed my shoulder, while my kunai nicked Kakashi's arm. We stood frozen for a moment in a staring contest. We both feel the element on each other's kunai. I feel the thunder, and Kakashi felt the flames. We both stood there until our knees give out and we both lowered on our knees at the same time.
We both lowered their weapons, acknowledging the stalemate, blood dripping from our mouths, eyes and injuries. We both collapse of exhaustion next to each other, our eyes still staring each other.
Naruto ran forward, waving his arms. "That was insane! You guys were both amazing!"
Sakura rushed to Sasuke's side. "Are you okay? You're bleeding!"
Kakashi chuckled, his voice tired but impressed. "You've got potential, Sasuke. But don't forget, this was still a team exercise."
I smirked faintly, wiping blood from my mouth. "This wasn't about teamwork. It was about seeing how far I could push myself."
Kakashi gave a rare genuine smile. "Then I'd say you passed."
"Um, Sakura-chan, should we call for help?" Naruto asked.
"I think so, Naruto." Sakura said with concern.
