With a timely and skillful duck, Scott was able to get out of harm's way just in time. It had almost felt like the end for him. He was sure that the baby he bore in his arms had to behind his good fortune. There wasn't any time to reflect on what had just happened, he picked up the pace as he hurried out of the door.
He took out a dagger and made straight for the outside, maneuvering his way through the men that were after he and the baby. They were probably stunned at his sudden moves which they couldn't keep up with. He didn't have any time to spare, to sit and look at what he had just done.
"Get him!"one of the men yelled from behind, as the others followed with all alacrity.
