Chereads / Me and God of Wibu / Chapter 56 - The Little Oceanid

Chapter 56 - The Little Oceanid

As the sun blazed high above, casting its golden rays across the ocean, Bellamy was sleeping soundly on the small boat.

Suddenly, he felt someone punching his ass.

"Wake up. You lazy ass. It's already high noon."

Slowly opening his eyes, what greeted him first was the dazzling light of the sun.

"What's the fuss, little girl?" he was annoyed since his sleep was interrupted

"Wake up. We already arrive at Dressrosa and I don't know how to enter."

Rubbing his bleary eyes, Bellamy's gaze fell upon the dazzling spectacle before him. The majestic island named Dressrosa bathed in sunlight and brimmed with life.

But something was odd.

"What. We've arrived?" Immediately, he didn't feel sleepy anymore.

"Dressrosa is right in front of you. Wash your eyes carefully, Bell" I said from behind him. "I thought you understand this place more than me."

An island filled with laughter, beauty, and happiness hit his eyes.

"It can't be real"

"Why it wasn't real. This is the real Dressrosa. There couldn't be a second Dressrosa, right."

"It's impossible. The fastest route to arrive in Dressrosa is 3 months. How can it take only one day?" Bellamy had mixed emotions on his face. He couldn't believe his eyes anymore.

"That's strange indeed. Then why don't we go up there to play? I mean investigation."

Bellamy placed his hand below his chin as if he were considering my option.

Bellamy's eyes were serious. If his memory hadn't deceived him, he contacted his idol, Doflamingo, yesterday. That moment was deeply printed in his brain. There was no way he could remember it wrong.

He looked at me with a scrutinizing gaze. His pupils tried to see through me. But he saw nothing except my love of art.

"Fine. Just this once, I'll accept your suggestion," Regardless, Bellamy agreed. He still needed to confirm this island first. Bellamy had some doubt that this girl was the main culprit but he denied that idea immediately.

The seastone cuffs were a prove that she couldn't do anything. Even he tested those cuffs. He lost the power in an instant.

"Woohu. Let's go. I am so excited to witness your idol's workplace. I want to know his secret of management"

"Remember. Who is hostage and who is the pirate." Bellamy's face wrinkled due to excessive anger. My action made him angry since he believed I was mocking him.

I admitted my actions were very naughty and annoying. Like a brat under 6 years old.

"Of course, I do remember" I replied with my stoic face. "I promise I will be obedient this time"

After securing the ship at the island's port, Bellamy dragged the me forcefully towards a nearby hotel.

As they walked through the streets, I observed the lively scene around them, noting the happiness of the people, despite the unusual circumstances.

Although this is a fake paradise, I never said the fake one can't compare to the real one.

Upon reaching the hotel, Bellamy bound me to the bed with ropes. "Remember, don't try to escape," he warned sternly before leaving to investigate.

"Yes. I won't"

The door slammed leaving me alone in the room

"escape Dressrosa"

Seeing him leave, I manifested water and cut the rope around me then removed the seastone cuffs with a key from my pocket.

"Alright. Let's have fun a little bit before this place becomes a huge mess." I mused to myself as I slipped out of the hotel unnoticed.

"What's a wonderful view?" I stretched my arms and legs to enjoy this country's air. People and toys were playing together. I would use this as a material for learning.

I walked around the town to enjoy the beauty of Dressrosa. Suddenly, a beautiful melody entered my ears.

Following the source of the sound, it led me to the open stage on the street.

The street was filled with people who were attracted by the song and the dancer.

"Your dance is beauty, Violet."

"I love you."

"Can you be my girlfriend?"

The dancer wasn't affected by the dirty words of the crowd. She still danced to her best.

I watched Violet's elegant and graceful dance and tried to mimic it in my brain.

"That dance" I muttered but was interrupted in the middle by another person.

"Beautiful, right" A voice suddenly rang out behind me.

I looked back and saw a woman wearing a hood to hide her face.

"Wrong. It's terrible." I whispered so that no one would pay attention to me and the woman behind me since the identity of the woman was sensitive.

"Why do you think so?" her smile became stiff due to the unexpected reply.

"In my eyes, her dance lacks a key ingredient. That ingredient decides the quality of the dance."

"And what is that?" she asked curiously.

"Freedom. She dances like a bird in a cage. Watching her dancing, I could feel her sadness buried deep inside her soul. That sadness of the dancer and the joy of the song can't bring joy to me. She fails to convey the melody of the song."

"If you say so then I guess I have disappointed you" She said sorry although she didn't do anything wrong.

"You are so modest. That is just my opinion. You shouldn't take it so seriously." I said.

"So do you want to see me dance?"

"You know how to dance."

"Yes, I am. My love for art is deep like the ocean. I will show you after she finishes." I pointed at Violet who was dancing on the stage.

When the song ended, Violet also stopped dancing. Immediately, the audience gave her a round of enthusiastic applause.

Violet flipped her hair backward and showed her smile to her audience.

The cheer became more enthusiastic.

I approached the stage under the stare of people.

As I stepped onto the stage, a murmur rippled through the audience, their interest piqued by this unexpected development. I could feel the eyes of the crowd on me, a mixture of curiosity and anticipation hanging in the air.

When people inspected the little white hair girl, they had a feeling that they had met this girl somewhere.

While the crowd discussed lively, only Violet knew the identity of this girl.

"It can't be" Her pupils shrank and her hands subconsciously covered her mouth.

I approached with a beaming smile.

"Do you want to dance with me?" I extended an invitation.

"Sorry. I'm too tired now. Maybe next time."

"Okay. I guess I will play as the solo musician" I sat on the seat and started checking the piano.

After passing the test, I changed my posture to look like a professional musician.

"My name is Furina. Today, I will perform my favorite song. Its name is The Little Oceanid"

I wore a smug smile and gave all my focus to the piano.

Immediately, the crowd became absolutely silent. They were waiting for something from this girl. Something was out of their realm of understanding.

The silence was broken by a note. The music began as a new melody weaving its way through the crowd.

"O, if I become one with the springs. Can the world's wonder be restored?"

My finger danced across the piano keys, each note resonating with a haunting beauty. The melody of the song transported the audience to another realm.

In this realm, they saw Furina but this Furina wasn't playing piano. She was surrounded by angry mobs.

The crowd was captivated by the scene.

"And will you forgive us our sins, dear mother?"

The scene changed. The audience was standing in the middle of the city with laughter and happiness.

In real life, a flock of birds landed on the piano and started chirping with me.

"The water's flow puts the dance in our step"

As if there were an energy coursing through their body, they stood up and started dancing around me.

"It nurtures our city. And thee, my beloved"

People were riding on the emotional roller coaster. They were happy, angry, sad, empathetic,… and many more.

Violet, watching from the sidelines, felt something rising deep within her. There was something about Furina's performance, something familiar yet elusive, that stirred memories she thought long forgotten.

Attractive by the beautiful melody, window after window was opened. People inside the building watched my performance through the window and sang with me.

The street became more lively with the help of the audience and toys. Their cheer and laughter made the song more colorful.

As the final notes of "The Little Oceanid" echoed through the air, the crowd erupted into thunderous applause, their cheers reverberating off the walls of the surrounding buildings.

I smiled and waved my hands toward the audience, a gentle warmth radiating from her as she basked in the adoration of the crowd.

"Do you enjoy the show? Of course, you do"

People were amazed and fanatic by my performance. They couldn't stop throwing flowers and money at me.

My eyes scanned across the crowd to look for a woman with pink hair. I released a deep sigh.

That little girl was no longer there anymore.

"In that case" I looked at Violet who was looking at me bewilderingly.

"Do you learn something from my song?"

"What?" She was freaked out like a kitten.

"That's how you put your soul and emotions into the song. Please tell me." I stared at her pupils. Her pupils reflected my image.

"Are you okay to live like this?"

"I … I …" Violet didn't know how to answer. Of course, she wasn't okay with her life. She wanted to change but she didn't how to do it.

"It's okay to hide your feelings. But you must know. Your feelings shouldn't be hidden." I massaged her hands, "Let it bloom and be the source of your motivation."

Violet's eyes were shaking. She was asking herself. Can this girl save her country?

She closed her eyes and was immersed in her thoughts.

She was pulled back to reality by the familiar yet hated voice.

"Bravo. Bravo. What a wonderful performance."

"Hero. It's our hero."

"You are handsome."

"Not only lord Doflamingo come, but the others are also here"

Looking at the hero who saved this country from a brutal king, people were cheering on their arrival.

"Oh my. Looks like our meeting ends here" I smiled and said, "Because that dangerous man is here"

I undauntedly looked at Doflamingo walking through the crowd together with his family.

"Can you tell me, your highness? Why did you come to this without informing me? A VIP person like you should be treated with care and safety" Doflamingo said with a big smile but the smile was creepy.

"I go where my legs bring me to. Coincidentally, I hear this place. Out of curiosity, I came to this place as a vacation."

"You are interesting. I have never met a person like you before."

I smiled. Doflamingo also smiled.

The temperature suddenly dropped.

"We have a lot of things to talk about."
