CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

Thea's POV

As I took every step, all I could see was my mother's face, how she cried and struggled with those who took her away in my dream. All the memories of her I have, she always wore a smiling face, seeing her expression of pain couldn't just leave my heart. She was a tough one though but why would she ask me to stay away from the study? I needed these evidences more than I needed oxygen. I couldn't just let their death go unpaid for.

My walk to Anton's quarters didn't take long, there I was standing in front of his door as I knocked gently.

"Come in," he commanded in his baritone voice.

I pressed down the door knob, it opened and I entered. I stood inside, just few steps away from the door.

"Why are you standing there like a wet chicken looking for shelter?" Anton asked but he wasn't looking my direction. His eyes seemed to be focused on the wall in front of him.
