As soon as the pastor made that statement, Mae's life was gone. She has entered hell.
He did not smile gently at her, but instead had cold eyes. At first, Mae thought it was because marriage was a bit sudden, so he was a bit unfamiliar. So she encouraged herself that as long as she worked hard with him, they would both have a happy life.
From day to day, her husband treated her like a servant, every day was the same. Never once had dinner with her, the dining table always only had food placed on the dining table, one person waiting for the other to return to have dinner.
Even if he goes out drinking with friends late at night, she still waits for him to return.
