As soon as the words fell out of his mouth, she turned her attention towards Danzel and her emerald eyes twinkled. She walked towards him and stood too close and hugged him. My grip on the table unknowingly tightened when I saw Danzel's hand going around her bare back and he returned the too-friendly hug.
"It's been so long since we haven't met, Dan. You have no idea how much I missed you, us," she whispered the last part in his ear and kissed his cheek.
