Chereads / Mafia And His Angel / Chapter 6 - chapter 6

Chapter 6 - chapter 6

Angelina

"Yes now you belong to me my angel"

His words kept ringing in my ears.

Tears pricked my eyes as I stared at the bookshelf behind him. My eyes darted towards the room and then I gasped in shock.

The room, the closet-

"How is this room planned exactly like I wanted it to be?" I asked him, "How is that possible?"

"I have my ways. "He said shrugging off.

My ways? What ways? It wasn't possible to know everything I liked unless my eyes widened at the realization when I joined all the pieces together.

"It was you, wasn't it? You were stalking me this whole time, right?" I asked him, my heart palpitating under my ribcage.

He didn't answer but instead, smirked in response.

My anger rose. "You are a sick man, you know that?" I said harshly. "How dare you do this to me! You are a pathetic, obsessive, and ruthless monster. "I yelled at his face.

Hearing my words, his eyes darkened. "Shut up!" He shouted and punched the wall in rage. A whimper left my life at his voice. My blood ran cold in fear and terror. He was the one who was following me which means he knew me very well, he had knowledge of what I did and I didn't, who I sat with, and whom I spoke with. He had my address and watched me. The car, the black car following me was him, it was his car. He kept watching me from a distance, for months I was ignorant of the fact that someone as dangerous as him was keeping an eye on me.

My mind was clouded with all those dangerous things he did every day. He had a dark and dangerous aura around him. By the sinister look in his eyes, I could tell that he loved to kill people, loved to see them terrified of him like I was now. I sobbed continuously, not believing what he had said, what my fate had sealed.

He's probably going to use me as long as he wants and once he gets bored, he'll kill me. This thought made me cry more. My eyes were red, my face stained with tears. He did not say anything but instead stood by the window, his eyes trained out. Neither of us spoke, only the sounds of my low sniffs and whimpers could be heard.

After a few minutes, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in!"

I flinched at his tone.

The same servant walked in with a trolley of plates.

"Mr. Parker, your dinner sir."

"Keep it there and leave," Danzel said, not moving his gaze. When he heard the door closing behind the servant and we were left alone, he shifted his eyes at my weeping form and then walked over and picked up a plate,

"Eat".

"I'm not hungry." I sniffed, wiping my tears and not meeting his gaze.

"I haven't asked you," He said harshly, "I said eat!" His voice rising a bit.

The nerve of this man to kidnap me and then order me around...

"And I am not your slave to listen to everything you say!" I yelled, "I am not hungry, I don't want to eat." The muscles over his jaw tightened and then I saw the grip over the plate tightening. I moved back in fear but he stormed towards me and then gripped my hair in his fist and pulled me up, pushing me against the wall.

"What did I say earlier? Don't you get that in that little brain of yours, huh?" he snapped, "Why do you like pissing me off.? Next time you disrespect me and I'll make sure to punish your family for your words. They'll pay for your acts," He said with gritted teeth.

My eyes widened.

My family, I won't let them suffer.

Tears spilled through my eyes.

"Don't let my anger get hold of you Angelina, you won't like the other side of me. The more you try to piss me off, the more your beloved ones get into trouble. So now be a good girl and keep your mouth in control." He said slowly.

"Now eat!" He said and shoved me on the couch. I was way too scared of him to argue, so I simply took the plate and started eating without looking at him. He walked over and sat on the other couch and watched me eat.

Doesn't he want to eat?

Who cares?

Let him starve to death, bloody bastard. After I finished eating, I moved my eyes up towards him and found him still staring at me.

What?

After a few moments, he stood up and made his way toward me and then opened his palm with some pills in it. My eyes widened, Are those drugs?

"N-no please, don't drug me please. I-I promise I'll listen to what you say." I pleaded.

"Drugs?" he frowned, "These are painkillers. It'll lessen the pain and help heal the wounds," he continued. "Are you always this stupid?" He said getting irritated and crouched in front of me. My breath hitched when he removed his hand from his pocket and started caressing my cheek. "Don't think so low of me, Angel. I would never harm you! I am not that bad for you." He said in low voice, his eyes flickering with some emotions but he quickly composed himself.

He walked towards the door and before leaving he turned his back and said "You aren't going to leave this room. Whatever you need, you can just call any of the servants in the house? No need of wandering about. And I hope I made myself clear this time, haven't I?" He asked me, cocking his eyebrow at me.

I nodded.

"Good girl." And with that, he left the room.

I kept staring at the closed door. I needed to get out of here. But I was scared that if I run he would hurt my family. I couldn't do that. I was too scared right now that running wasn't a good idea. Maybe after my wounds get healed, I'd think of some way to escape.

Yeah, that seems fine.

With that, I drifted off to sleep.

***

It has been a week since I am locked in this room. Every day he comes in for breakfast and dinner in my room. He sits there in the same place and watches me eat. We haven't spoken a word since that day. Every day it's the same routine of me eating in silence, him staring at me, then after eating he gives me the medicine and just leaves.1

Why does he pretend to care?

I spent my day reading. I must say he had a good collection of books. Even though my day was spent reading, my nights were terrible. Every night, after he would leave, I used to cry till sleep overtook me.5

I missed my family desperately. They would be worried about me, my mother would be wandering around everywhere in search of me and I hope I still had my job. But that's all I had, all I could do was sit and miss everything I had lost because now my entire life revolved around this room.

The servant, his name's Robert would come in every day. Sometimes he'd try to lighten up my mood but every time I'd ask him to help me escape, he would brush off the topic. I was able to walk around without cringing in pain because my wounds were pretty healed leaving some scars behind.

For the entire week, every day was just the same except today, because today after Danzel leaves, I am going to leave the room and find my way out of this house arrest. My eyes watched the clock striking nine and the door opened.

Danzel walked in, without bothering to knock, and with him, followed Robert. Danzel sat in his usual place while Robert handed me my plate. With a small smile, Robert walked out leaving us both alone.

Danzel watched me while I ate with his hands under his face and his eyes lost in deep thoughts. I shifted uncomfortably under his gaze.

Today, I was going to leave him.

Stare all you want Mr. Mafia because this is the last time you'll be seeing this face of mine. A grin crept through my face at the happy thought.

"You're really beautiful."

I almost choked on my food, not believing the breaking of silence.

That was the first time he spoke with me in an entire week. His deep voice was low. I slowly looked up at him and found him staring at me.

"U-uh-, thanks."

I said but did not move my eyes away from his handsome face. He was definitely the most handsome guy I've ever met but probably the most dangerous man I could ever meet. He is my kidnaper, I reminded myself. I needed to get out from here and that has to happen today. I had to get away from him. We both chose to be silent after that, no one dared to speak.

After he was sure that I had cleaned the plate, he got up and handed me those pills. I took it silently and gulped it with the orange juice. I expected him to leave immediately but to my surprise, he leaned and kissed my left cheek, his lips lingering on my skin, whispering, "Stay safe love."

And then he left while I sat frozen in my seat. What just happened? Why is he acting so weird? But I brushed the thought away as quickly as it came. My ears kept trained on the main door to be closed and then the car driving off. After making sure that he was gone, I started working on my plan. I searched around for something but at last, removed some sheets from the drawers.

I tied a few bedsheets together to make sure they were long enough to reach the ground or at least long enough for me to jump down safely.

After tightening the knots, I threw it on the ground. I pepped down and gathered the courage to climb up.

I had learned how to climb ropes in summer camps, but that was two years ago. I inhaled deeply and then rubbed my palms against my jeans to calm my nerves and then quickly climbed onto the window.

I turned around and moved my eyes over the room, my mind diving back to him, his eyes and striking face.

I mentally scolded myself for thinking about him. You don't need to think about a man who abducted you especially when you're trying to escape. You are used to seeing him for the week, he was the only human reach for you and hence you feel this way, nothing more, and nothing less.

I reminded myself.

My mind was still overcoming his thoughts that I didn't hear the voices downstairs. My eyes widened in shock, Oh my god! It's Danzel. How can he be home?

Oh shit!

"Robert where is my bloody phone?" I could hear him yelling at Robert. My feet shook in fear when my eyes landed on his cell phone kept on the table next to the couch.

Crap!

He's going upstairs. I had two options- go back in the room and sit quietly or escape as quickly as I can. I chose the latter option and moved down. But much to my bad luck, the door opened and I sensed him walking in.

"I just forg—" he stopped in mid-sentence probably noticing my absence, "What the hell Angelina, where the fuck are you?" He yelled.

Within seconds he was over the window, pepping down at me.

"Guards, get her!" he shouted and the men rushed at his words, "What the hell do you think you're doing? You idiot!" He yelled at me.

My heartbeats increased in fear and I felt the grip of my fingers loosening in fear.

"Please, please don't hurt me, please let me go "I cried while looking up at him.

"Get the fyck up, Angelina." He warned, "Or else I swear, I'll—"

"Please don't kill me, please." I cried.

My grip on the sheets loosened and my knees shook.

"Whoa, oh my god! I am going to fall down." I screamed in dear when my fingers ached and I tried to grip the sheets.

Danzel panicked at my words, "Don't move, love. You won't fall. Where are the fucking guards?" he yelled, "Get a ladder, take her down! Fucking hurry up!"

"No-o, I won't come down!" I cried and shook my head.

"Why?" he frowned in confusion.

"You will kill me!" I sobbed.

"I won't kill you, Angelina." He sighed.

But the words were faint when I felt my head spinning. The grip on the sheets started to slip. Everything around me started spinning.

"Fuck!" he cursed looking at me, "Angelina, don't close your eyes. I am coming there to get you, don't lose the grip." He said panicking and climbed over the railing of the window and slowly descended down.

My visions blurred and tears kept spilling from my eyes.

"Angelina!" he called out, "Please love, keep your eyes open. Come on, catch hold of my hand!" He motioned his hand towards me.

But my hands couldn't move. At last, I couldn't handle it and my body gave up, my fingers letting go of the sheets.

"No!"

That was all I could hear Danzel scream at me before everything went black.
