The upper level of the God Realm, a sacred place that only the Supreme
Gods and their direct subordinates can enter. In one of the temples, the
temple of God of Time and Space Chronois, the three Supreme Gods
gathered.
Surrounding a circular table with serious expressions on their faces,
three people were facing each other… No, the two people were facing
one of them. This meeting was to discuss the festival in the God Realm
that Shallow Vernal had proposed.
Although Chronois and Life are the ones who will take the lead in
planning the festival according to Shallow Vernal's order, Fate is also
present here. This is because, under Shallow Vernal's orders, Fate was
to supervise this festival and was not to be carried out without Fate's
permission.
[Well then, let's get started. God of Fate, this is the proposal that God of
Life and I came up with.]
[It might sound like I'm praising my own painting, but I think we
conjured a good proposal. To be honest, I don't think there's much that
needs to be changed…]
[Hmmm, you two sure work fast huh… Well, that makes it easier for
me.]
The proposal that Chronois and Life placed in front of Fate was more
than a hundred pages thick, containing a lot of details about the project.
Looking as if she finds what she's doing troublesome, Fate flipped
through the pages… and "wiping it out with magic", she smiled.
[…Now then, let's discuss "the God Realm's Festival" from "the ground
up".]
[Eh? No, God of Fate… Just now, the proposal we wrote was…]
[Does that mean there's a problem somewhere in our proposal?]
A little puzzled by Fate's intimidating smile, Chronois and Life tried
asking her… but the smile on Fate's face disappeared, and she slammed
her fist down on the desk.
[It's not a problem of "somewhere"! Everything is a problem!!! Ahh,
geez, I want to punch the me who thought that working as the
supervisor would be easy peasy. I mean, God of Space and Time and
God of Life, what is it that you're thinking!? Shallow Vernal-sama told us
to prepare a "festival"! Who the heck told you that we're having a
"ceremony"!? What idiocy is this!?]
[N- No, but… This is an event in the God Realm, which can be said to be
Shallow Vernal-sama's lap. For an event to occur in such a place, it is
necessary for this event to have a certain level of dignity, don't you
think?]
[S- She's right. It's also necessary to demand a certain level of civility
from the participants…]
The reason why Fate is so angry is because the content of the proposal
she just saw was so bad… and the biggest problem was that Chronois
and Life didn't think there was anything strange in it.
[No, first of all, "three hours of ceremony practice by the participants"?
Why the heck are the participants practicing and not the organizers!?]
[…E- Etiquette is also important, isn't it?]
[Next, "pilgrimage to the God Realm"? Isn't it strange that the word
"pilgrimage" is even mentioned here!!!?]
[…I- I was trying to be considerate to those who find it difficult to pray
properly without knowing the lands of the Gods…]
When she said that much, Fate put her hand on her forehead and let out
a deep, loud sigh.
[…For it to be this bad… Speaking of which, you two went to the Festival
of Heroes and Six Kings Festival, right? Looking at those two festivals,
did you two seriously think that the festival you proposed is alright?]
[Isn't it a great honor to be invited to the middle level of the God Realm
to offer prayers to Shallow Vernal-sama?]
[Yes, even though this is called a festival, it should be solemn since it is
held under the guidance of the sacred Shallow Vernal-sama.]
Hearing the words they said without any hesitation, Fate looked up to
the sky. Thereupon, the hand on her forehead lowered down, covering
her eyes, before she quietly told them.
[…Hold on a second. I'm thinking of a better way to explain the mistake
of you two idiots… Unnn, let's use Kai-chan for this situation.]
Fate desperately searched for the words to correct Chronois' and Life's
thoughts, which could even be described as bigotry. Deciding to use the
first person that came to her mind as an example, she turned to the two
of them and spoke.
[…Okay then, listen. Kai-chan would definitely be invited to this festival,
right? You both know how important Kai-chan is for Shallow Vernalsama, right?]
[Umu.]
[Of course.]
[…So. If the festival really were to be organized as you planned… Do you
think that "Kai-chan will enjoy it"?]
[ [......] ]
When they heard Fate's words, Chronois and Life stiffened, as if they
were at a loss for words. Both of them have exchanged a fair amount of
words with Kaito and they already know his personality.
In that case, considering Kaito's personality and preferences…
[ [… He wouldn't. ] ]
[Right? Then, that won't do! Both of you talk about having civility and
solemnity, but if the festival you planned isn't something Kai-chan
wouldn't enjoy, don't you think it would be even more disrespectful to
Shallow Vernal-sama?]
Hearing her say that, Chronois and Life couldn't say anything. The
festival that the two of them prepared… which would rather be
described as a ceremony instead, was a really stiff one, as every minute
had its own schedule prepared.
Even the two of them could immediately understand that Kaito
wouldn't like it if the festival was prepared their way.
[Kai-chan is amazing, but his tastes and senses are rather average. If
Kai-chan can enjoy a festival, there's a good chance that the other
Humans and Demons can too, and vice versa. So, why don't the two of
you try to think of a festival that "Kai-chan would enjoy" first? We can
just work out the particulars afterwards.]
[…I- I see… That was a blind spot we didn't see. Thank you, God of Fate.]
[Yes, I could not have been more disrespectful to Shallow Vernal-sama
without even realizing it.]
[…I just mentioned Kai-chan's name and they understood it this easily…
Kai-chan really is amazing.]
It seemed that the flow of the conversation was heading for the right
path, as Chronois and Life began to think with serious expressions on
their faces. Nodding her head in satisfaction at that, Fate drank the tea
prepared for her… and as if they had collected their thoughts, the two
spoke.
[…I'd need to receive some advice for the content, if it's possible, from a
Human. I'll have to consult with Lilia.]
[In regards to those who should be invited or not… There would be
some differences because this festival will be hosted by us. I'll have to
talk to the Six Kings. They organized the Six Kings Festival, so they
should be able to give me some good feedback.]
[…Unnn, that's not a bad idea. Well then, revise the proposal in that
direction and let's talk about it again… Do your best, okay~~]
With a sigh of relief that she had passed the first barrier, Fate lightly
waved her hand and left that place.
Thereupon, going outside of the temple, she gazed at the blue sky over
the God Realm… and muttered.
[…For me to find fault in their God-like thinking, was it because I've
grown up? Well, I guess this will be a good opportunity for their way of
thinking to change. However, hmmm… From the looks of things, they
would still hit two or three more walls… Well, for the time being, let's
go visit Kai-chan's place.]
The festival that the God Realm will be planning for the first time in
history was slowly, but steadily moving forward.
Extra ~ ~ Established Setting for the Six King's Subordinates: World
King's Executive Subordinates ① ~ ~
① "Magic Flower Princess" Lillie
(T/N: Mahanahime)
The head of World King's subordinates, she is a blind female Demon
with long blond hair, red flowers blooming on it. She was born blind
because she is the spirit of a magic flower that blooms only in the
depths of dark caves where no light can reach.
However, she has the ability that specializes in sensing, allowing her to
not only sense her surroundings, but even the surface thoughts of
others, so her everyday life isn't inconvenienced at all.
She has a gentle and kind personality, but she's also a bit mischievous.
Of the Seven Princesses, she is the one most similar to Lillywood.
② "Fairy Princess" Tirtania
(Yousei Hime)
She is the kouhai of the current Fairy King, Razelia, and just like Razelia,
she is a Flower Fairy. She respects Razelia from the bottom of her heart,
as she imitates her clothing and tone of voice. The only thing different
she didn't imitate from Razelia was her hair color.
She is the mood maker of the Seven Princesses, and is always cheerful
and energetic.
Recently, Razelia has been bragging about a person named "Kaitokunsan", which makes Tirtania want to meet this Kaitokun-san.
Lillywood is also acquainted with Kaito, but with the way Razelia called
him, she thought Razelia was talking about a different person.
③ "Grass Flower Princess" Camellia
(T/N: Kusahanahime)
A Grass Spirit. She is the most well known No. 1 among the Six Kings'
Executive Subordinates, but people won't notice here even if she's
there. She has light brown braids and wears simple village girl-like
clothes, and combined with her thin presence, she doesn't seem to be
amazing at all. She is generally good at housework, which is why Ein
mistook her for a maid serving Lillywood, pushing her to participate in
the Maid Olympia.
(T/N: Not sure if the "No.1 among the Six Kings' Executive
Subordinates" is right here, but that is what was written in the raws. I
think Author-san was referring to being the No. 1 among World King's
Executive Subordinates instead. There's Pandora-san after all.)
But in fact, she is the strongest of the Seven Princesses, and she was
promoted to Duke-rank along with Lillie… She thought that would
make her stand out a bit more, but upon receiving her new title, she has
become the "No. 1 Duke-rank whose name I know of, but appearance I
can't remember".
Incidentally, her favorite food is rice cakes and her dream is to become
a housewife.
④ "Cherry Blossom Princess" Blossom
(T/N: Sakurahanahime)
The Spirit of a Cherry Blossom tree created by Lillywood after hearing
about it from Neun. She is a Japanese beauty with black hair and a
hairpin made of cherry blossoms, and uses a katana as a weapon.
Although she is quite the genius, she doesn't get self-conceited and
continues to train herself. Among the Seven Princesses, many of whom
specialize in Defensive Techniques, she is unusually good at attacking
rather than defending.
After losing a mock battle with Sirius, another swordsman who is a
member of Death King's Pleiades, she has been improving her skills
with her as her goal.
Sirius had told her that there is an amazing swordsman in the Demon
Realm who uses a mysterious sword technique called "Transcendental
Soaring Serpent Style"… making her wish to meet her, hoping to become
her apprentice
