" The mind is like an iceberg, it floats with one seventh of it's bulk above water " this quote deprived from the Freudian theories, coupled with the captivating portrayal of hypnotism in the ' OLD BOY ' movie, served as the catalyst that immersed me into the realm of mentalism.
Following World War III, a tumultuous era unfolded as the globe fractured into two major unions, sparking an intense Cold War among alliances. Amidst this geopolitical strife, neutral nations emerged. Despite technological advancements and developmental strides that once fueled dreams of a brighter future, regrettably, the one aspect that failed to progress was humanity itself. This deficiency cast a big shadow on this messed up world.
After the war, jobs disappeared and new ones emerged, widening economic gaps. The rich got richer, and the poor faced deeper poverty. Amidst this change, a lucky few, myself included, saw a reversal of fortune. As a psychologist, my demand surged due to the worsening collective human psyche each day.
I prefer not to delve into politics or my pre-clinic life at this time.
For the past year, I have been operating a compact yet bustling clinic catering to individuals with mental challenges, offering mind services such as memory erasure, mind therapy, motivational classes, and more.
I have dedicated a significant portion of my life to learning and delving into the realms of psychology and mental science. I'm also big admirer of Bio maths as well. As a devoted bookworm, I never forged enduring friendships or had individuals stand by my side consistently throughout my life. Not to mention my relationship history.
I've harbored a perpetual curiosity about the inherent power within the mind and the miraculous potential that comes with manipulating it. I've always aspired to enact wonders through this capacity and Running a clinic provided me with the optimal opportunity to put my skills to the test.
Things were fine until they showed up on that certain day, and everything, including my fate, took a turn
* year - 2031
Place - New orleans
On a certain day *
A man in his twenties, with a white complexion, blue and black medium-length hair, adorned with tattoos all over his body, calmly uttered, "Take his blindfold off now." Standing beside him were three individuals—a chubby white male in a full-sleeved shirt, a Mexican-toned guy of the same age, and a robust, nonchalant figure puffing on a cigarette. All dressed in black, they exuded a gang-like presence.
The Mexican guy untied the blindfold from a man in a plain white shirt and black pants. He's 26 but looks younger, with messy black hair and confused eyes. When he saw the gang members, he seemed really puzzled.
" So you are the renowned psychologist, Ethan Veil aren't you ?" Inquired by the blue dyed haired man, who seemingly the group leader.
" Oh... Yea that's me " Ethan answered in a calm and yet confusingly way.
On that day, a journey unfolded, leading towards something truly ominous.
