On November 12th, the first day after Progress Day and the second day of Lin Wen's return to Zaun, he woke up early. Breathing in the familiar air of the past, Lin Wen got out of bed.
Standing in the living room, Lin Wen noticed that both Old Zhuolang's and Kai'sa's doors were closed. He decided to knock on Old Zhuolang's door first. After knocking for a while, Old Zhuolang inside cursed loudly,
"Get lost, you stinky kid! Don't disturb me while sleeping!"
"Old man, it's time for you to get up and open the shop. Business won't wait," Lin Wen replied.
Old Zhuolang continued grumbling,
"Go open it yourself. Whether I open it or you open it, it's the same. After all, my things are your things. Now, go away; I want to sleep."
After getting scolded and rejected, Lin Wen happily ran to Kai'sa's door. He knocked and heard Kai'sa's voice from inside:
"Who? Lin Wen?"
The sound of rustling came from the room as Kai'sa quickly woke up. She grabbed a blanket to cover herself and stood up, looking towards the door. Lin Wen, if he knew Kai'sa's actions right now, might tease her directly—for example, you don't need to do that, Kai'sa; after all, you're always in your armor.
"Do you want to eat something for breakfast?" Lin Wen asked.
"We can have breakfast in the morning too." Kai'sa blinked her eyes, sitting up in bed and looking at the door in curiosity.
"Of course, breakfast is meant to be eaten in the morning. So, what would you like for breakfast?" Lin Wen asked.
"I'm fine with anything!" Kai'sa's volume immediately increased.
"Then let's have some fruit and bread," Lin Wen decided.
"You go wash your face and brush your teeth, then come downstairs."
Kai'sa got out of bed and started folding the blanket. Turning to look at Lin Wen, she said, "Okay, I'll be down soon."
Lin Wen went downstairs and casually picked up some fruit from a shelf. He peeled it and started eating while standing on the street.
Opening the iron gate, Lin Wen, with a mouthful of fruit, stretched lazily on the street, enjoying the morning in Zaun. Looking at the now bustling Zaun, Lin Wen felt happy. The chaotic and violent culture had gradually disappeared, and the pollution, though not completely gone, had improved.
Lin Wen breathed in the less pungent air, feeling fortunate. Soon, Kai'sa rushed down the stairs, running to Lin Wen.
"What about mine?" Kai'sa extended her hands, presenting them to Lin Wen, tilting her head.
"Go get it yourself." Lin Wen looked at her with surprise and said, "Do you want me to feed you?"
"Get it myself." Kai'sa turned to look at the shop, where various items were displayed on shelves, including equipment, materials, and food items.
"Yes, get it yourself. If you finish everything, ask Old Zhuolang to restock," Lin Wen said confidently. "I don't know how rich I am now, but with your eating habits, it'll take a few thousand years to go broke."
Lin Wen is now the wealthiest person in Zaun.
"Really?" Kai'sa asked.
"Yes, really. Think about it. With my current wealth, buying a piece of land in Shurima from Noxus shouldn't be a problem, right?" Lin Wen replied.
Kai'sa blinked.
Buy a piece of land. Got it? That means he's rich!
Satisfied with Lin Wen's answer, Kai'sa entered the shop. When she returned to Lin Wen with a bunch of items, Lin Wen had already moved a chair outside and sat down.
"I won't be polite then," Kai'sa said, sitting on the ground next to Lin Wen. She began unwrapping the food.
Lin Wen, after half an hour, noticed the time.
It was almost 8:30, the agreed-upon time with Heimerdinger from last night. But where was Powder? Lin Wen wanted to entrust Kai'sa to Powder and let them explore Zaun together. It would be better for Kai'sa to be with Powder than to follow him around.
Today, Lin Wen and Heimerdinger needed to discuss how to deal with Camille. After all, she wasn't an ordinary figure.
While Lin Wen was pondering about Powder, a voice echoed in the sky.
"Wow wow wow wow wow!"
"Vi, slow down; he won't disappear, ahhh!"
Above Zaun's main street, the shrill screams of a girl resounded, quite piercing. When a black dot appeared in the sky, Kai'sa, being more observant, said, "It's Powder."
Then, Kai'sa's eyes suddenly lit up with excitement, and she pointed at the gradually enlarging black dot, saying, "Hey, Lin Wen, what is that thing the person is riding on?"
Lin Wen looked at Powder and the person she was carrying. Opening his hands, he waited for the figure to come down. Given his familiarity with her, she wouldn't follow the conventional method. Most likely, she would jump down in mid-air and hug him.
Sure enough, when Lin Wen took a few steps forward, stopping on the main street, the person on the Hextech Hoverboard approached.
With a beautiful smile on her face and her pink hair disheveled by the strong wind, she landed elegantly. "Wow, you finally came back."
"Brother."
