Krea and Zi seemed to have made some friends. Der is now a trainer. The contestants from the pre-qualifiers have been eliminated to 16 players.
Krea have matured into a full Starnia now. Since they did not make pre-qualifiers, back to school they go. Calicrow is full of surprises!
As a trainer, Der was not allowed to participate in the Mystical Trials Competition. He sat in the Trainers corner for a meeting.
Zi ended up hanging with Ajax again. While they were hanging, Zi got a phone call from Krea. Krea explained everything that happened to her. Zi wished she was there!
Ajax had raised eyebrows.
"Say hi Krea!" I said laughing at his expression.
"Hiii!" She said.
"Hey." Ajax said a little on guard.
Hearing about Starnia's had him a little on edge.
"Okay talk to you later!" I said, glancing at Ajax.
"Okay!"
I hung up the phone. Ajax knew I was a mystical. Hearing about Krea mystical powers as well, he was a little flabbergasted. Little did Zi know, he had something up his sleeve as well...
"We can all hang out one day, but, bring a friend!" I said to him.
"Oh. Okay!" He looked to his left and squinted.
"Ajax!"
"Yeah!" He came back to focus.
We were at a park. This was a regular one with a kids playground. We just sat at the benches under the shade.
"Hey..." He said.
"What?" I was a little bit confused. What is the matter with him?
"There is something over there."
I whipped my head around to where he was looking before and I saw it.
"Stay here."
"Ajax what are you doing!" I said alarmed.
He ran and I stood up.
"Stay there!" He yelled back.
Something was about to jump out at them until he put his arms out. Tree roots came up and trapped the creature. Zi was shocked. Ajax is a mystical..! Whoa hold up...!
Zi ran to where he was and he glanced at her. Zi saw what was inside. A lulliwatt!
"Ajax let it go NOW!"
"Wha"-
Zi slashed at the roots and the lulliwatt jumped out and started shaking.
"RUN!" She said laughing.
She grabbed his hand and they both took off from the scene as the lulliwatt emitted its burning hairs. The dandelion like fibers landed on their clothing as it blew up, and burned their outfits.
"Ow." Said Ajax.
They were back at the bench tables. Zi quickly rubbed some of the hot hairs off of her.
"You knew what it was?" Asked Ajax.
"It's a lulliwatt. They are cute giant spider-like bugs that look like white tigers. They are a fire type. Ajax..."
"What... I know I know. I'm a mystical as well. I guess it was better to show you than to tell you." He said shrugging.
"OMG. Anyways. Your power is pretty cool..."
"Thanks. Uh Zi! Watch this!
He waved his arms in a circle and a tree grew out of the ground beside their area. It provided more shade.
Zi was amazed. She remembered when her and Ajax first hung out. He was not surprised at her very alive hair... She should have guessed he was more on the mystical side.
She have not been in Calicrow long, but it is starting to show its magical side. I guess there are mysticals everywhere huh.
"So, you're a tree-man huh?" I joked. "Just pulling everyones roots haha!"
"Got jokes huh." Said Ajax raising his eyebrows smiling.
I laughed. He was a good friend.
"Hey... So you're a mystical." I said rolling my eyes.
My chin was resting on my arm on the table.
He folded his arms in agreement with a smirk.
"Yeah. You caught me."
I thought no you caught me... ha! I couldn't help but remember when he really did catch me when I ran away on our date...
"Guess what though? Did you know about the tournament?" I said.
"The Mystical Trials?"
"OMG you know about it!"
"My cousin told me about it."
I was low-key mad. I mean yeah we just started hanging. I guess I better be prepared for more surprises. I rolled my eyes again.
"What else is new?"
"You mean this?" He waved his hands and the tree shook its leaves down. One landed on my shoulder. How cute.
"You better put the tree back Ajax. The park managers did not put that tree there ya know."
"Whatever you say Zi." He tapped his foot and the tree shrunk back into the earth.
The leaves remained scattered around.
I puffed my cheeks then stood up.
"Lets go." I said. "Let's watch the tournament! I really want to see the magic of Calicrow." I said dramatically shaking my hair, which was flying wildly.
"Oh. Sure." He said smiling hard.
He stretched out and I saw his arm muscles buldging. Okay he strong.
"I just heard that we could watch it. I don't know where at though." I said looking up at the sky, hoping he knew some place.
"Actually, I have a tv for mysticals at my dad's. It's pretty neat."
"Wow of course you do Ajax."
We left to his place, went into his room, then turned on the tv. His dad was at work right now.
We didn't know which channel it was on, so we had to search through every channel! We finally found it, as two mysticals were going at it, magic just flying. At the bottom of the screen it had the logo 'MTC' for the Mystical Trials Competition.
The two competitors were in a world of their own. Only the best of the best were competing now. One mystical was emitting a red spiky aura. They were throwing red spiky circles at their opponent, who was quickly dodging them doing flips.
They had to actually find and collect ten orbs hidden around the arena. There were obstacle blocks and prisms, like the ones at Park Terji they could practice on. Doing damage to the opponent was allowed and would make it harder to complete the task.
"Want popcorn?" Asked Ajax.
"Sure!" I said excited.
I pulled out my pink vial and poured some on top of my bowl of fresh popcorn.
Ajax stared aghast.
"Soo that's suppose to be good?"
I laughed so hard.
"Yeah. It's delicious." I put a whole ooey gob in my mouth.
"Ew Zi."
I laughed some more and threw a gooey popcorn at him. It slid down his shirt slowly and he plucked it off and shot it in the trashcan. He took his shirt off.
"Whew." He said feeling relieved.
What a show off. I just rolled my eyes. I couldn't believe people like the competitors even existed! There are just people everywhere able to do who knows what huh!
The two competitors were transported back to Park Terji after a fierce round, and a winner was announced.
