Chapter 83 - The Final Battle Against the Eccentric Demon King

The summoned monsters then begin to move at once…. Tsk, they went high to the sky and they're quite fast! I raise my hand towards their direction and activate the magic I use to against quick monsters. [<(Dark Splash)>!] The magic spread wide up into the air to engulf the monsters. However… It wasn't able to reach them. The monsters warily monitors my movement as they safely keep their height out of my range. After doing so, I notice that the monsters are attempting to move in between the gaps between the Dark Splashes and close their distance while surrounding me. [! Sybilla, how do we deal with this.] [Tsk, this demon king is really!!! I didn't expect there's such a troublesome floor boss inside the First Dungeon!] [What do you mean!?] [A floor boss of this caliber can't be found in the Second Dungeon and wasn't in the hidden fourth dungeon we discovered. Then there's no other place that could be used to hide this floor boss other than the First Dungeon. This demon king really uses its head.] …I see. We went to the third dungeon that's famous for having powerful monsters inside of them and ignored the first dungeon where slimes are known to commonly appear. However, the first dungeon, even though slimes were there, nobody said the floor boss on it's bottom floor is the same. In fact, there are a lot of stories around saying the first dungeon appears to be easy but no one as of this day is said to be able to capture it. […These monsters are called . The monster by itself is not strong per se, and it isn't that dangerous as long as it has low numbers. It uses its tail like a bee, but it's tails are closer to a claw than a needle. Ofcourse, it's mouth is another thing that can put you in danger.] Oh, looking at it closely, the monsters' tails are curled towards my direction as they approach and surround me. I fire a dark splash to a monster that's about to get close to me and observe it straighten it's tails to avoid my magic and fly up again into the air. Up, down, left, right, this monster's movements are so free and unrestrictive. Are dragonflies this difficult of a bug to catch? At this point, I can't really look at them any differently than flies that are much more difficult to get in hand. Just how am I supposed to predict the movements of these bugs…!? [! I don't think we'll be able to defeat these monsters like this!] [It's just because they're outside the dungeon. I don't think I have to say this but there are no mages that can just allow lightning to fall from the clouds or summon down storms. If they're adventurers inside the dungeon who use those kinds of magic against monsters, what are the roofs of the dungeon for.] …Yeah… I can somehow get what you're telling me behind those words…! [I see. It was because these monsters can't freely move around the same height so they're not that difficult to deal with inside!] [That's it! If floor bosses are allowed to roam freely, then… Tsk, !] Sybilla uses her own magic as well but it's something that's more appropriate inside dungeons. The wave spreads horizontally but it can't reach our enemies who are way up high and dodges vertically. Dark Splash is a magic that effectively deals with elusive enemies inside a confined space just like the dungeon. Against enemies who can move into the sky freely, no matter where I shoot it or how wide I spread the range of my magic, it will never be enough to control the monsters' movement and deal damage to it. All this time when I'm talking with Sybilla, Emmy's just beside me holding her shield. […I think I'm finally used to this shield's weight. We've got nothing to hide anymore so let's see this shield's full abilities!] [ah! Emmy! Be careful! Please not the floor boss, be wary of the demon king!!!] (Arios) [Eh…!?] I think Emmy was surprised by what I just said but she still moves her gaze towards the demon king and holds her shield firm. And at that moment… The black haze surrounding the demon king vanishes and now his true colors come into the surface. –And what has appeared, is really too eccentric. . His face. There's three of them with one on the front and one on each side. Then his arms… he has three pairs of it or in short, he has four more limbs than a normal human. The Demon King's real appearance is so outside of my common sense that it seemed that everything he just plotted against me felt so trivial instead. Sybilla, as if she'd already predicted it, just looks at the demon king's figure like it was just a bother. [Tsk, as expected. Now that we know what the demon lord's true form is, we can now devise a strategy to exploit its weaknesses and abilities. The three spears made of ice which boasted high speed are making their way to us and so I see Emmy blocks one with her shield and cuts off another with her blade. [How wonderful. As expected, a Holy Knight really shows its worth with dragon made equipment…. It really is unfortunate that you were born as a filthy and stinky orphan but I'll bear with it…. Now then, you better believe you plebeians are the only people who I will chase even in death… Fufu, just how long will you be able to keep me entertained.] I am getting kinda worried knowing that Emmy is confronting the demon king at this moment but I can't extend my hand to her as I am also struggling against these floor bosses.
